Just received this one yesterday, there's definitely still some input lag. However, most of it seems to disappear while draggin instead of hovering the pen. This confirms it's a driver issue, not a hardware one.
yea the problem is the driver , but how much time we need to wait for repair the problem

I'm currently working on an open source driver, I've already reversed the USB packets. Let's hope I can get it working.

That only disables some Window's services, the issue is within the wacom driver.

I hope that this works! this all the driver that i found for Intuos Tablet :)

The only drivers that the Intuos Draw works with are 6.3.14-1 and 6.3.15-1. Both have the latency issue.

oamaok do you think that with those open source drivers it would be possible to overclock the report rate of other tablets like the cth-470?
Muzyy
I have report the problem at wacom's support . They asking me to tell the version or drivers and the tablet . i wait the reply.

I informed you yours :D

Same here with CTH 490, dragging feels ok, when i hover it feels like im playing with a drunk cursor.
VoltedZ
I've got that tablet yesterday. Switched from mouse at rank 61k ;p I've got some practice to do. At first i did not know if that's how a tablet works, it felt slightly off, now I know it. I'm waiting for some info on that, hope they fix that soon :/
Excuse
Well, have you tried rebooting it? XD

My tablet used to lag like a bitch and this fixed it.

That basically destroys your drivers, you cannot change any settings whatsoever, your pen does not recognize clicking properly etc.

//edit: They do not lag, just the way the cursor behaves when hovering does not feel right, it's slower than when you drag the pen, like it's on ice. - Do you use a 490 as well?
samotoda
Well i'm a dragger and im debating whether to get the 480 or the 490. Is the lag noticeable while dragging on the 490? I don't want to buy the 480 to drag because I heard it will tear through your nibs. Please someone help me (Me big noob #OnlyCanStreamWithAMouse

You won't have any problems dragging, installed the new drivers today and it seems it did solve the lag i was having when i was hovering for me.

I still have input lag while hovering with those though. Either that or I got so used to dragging that hovering feels naturally drunk to me at this point :P
Tbh
I've had this tablet for about a month and I haven't seen any input lag whatsoever. I use the latest drivers for the pen tablet and I'm on windows 10. I prefer to hover, but even if I drag there is still no lag :/ Is it only in osu that you get said "lag" or just in general?
Minami Hasaki
I think this issue applies to Windows 8.1 users that hover. (Me) I have a friend with a Mac that says his is just fine. Stating environments and conditions with problems like this help keeps things organized and creates faster solutions.

Yes the 6.3.15-2 fixed the problem.

I was dragging too before the new drivers, now i hover and not noticing the lag at all, other peoples confirmed the new drivers worked, maybe in your case the problem is something else.

I'm not sure what causes the input lag if the latest drivers work for others, but not for me. I might try reinstalling them and see if everything will be fine this time.

I changed to windows 10 today and there is still hover lag. So I don't think it is anything to do with the OS.

EDIT: So I have some how reduced the input lag, I am not sure how I did it. All I remember is deleting the drivers completely and then installing a backdated one and updating through the Wacom Desktop Center on the Updates tab. I don't know if this will help at all but I hope it does.

I recently changed to one of these from a CTL-480 and the increase in input lag is noticeable, even with the new drivers. This is because the tablet is designed for graphics design and drawing, so Wacom added a feature called "cursor smoothing" which reduces the 'snappiness' of the cursor and allows it to drift better (this is ideal for drawing and such, but not so much for Osu!), which is what we feel as the input lag. The newest drivers haven't changed this feature so the input lag will still be there, and hopefully Wacom will add a toggle to said feature if Osu! ever becomes more popular. I can post a comparison between the 2 tablets if anyone is interested.

I've noticed that input lag only occurs in certain patterns (particularly when the position change is at a sharp angle. Hopefully Wacom will fix this?

There isn't anything to 'fix' per say, however an option to enable/disable cursor smoothing would be nice

New drivers 15-3 have been released today, try it out and see if it solve the problems, i will play for a while and see if i notice any difference.

Could someone please confirm it no longer has delay issues? Specially, @yreV

I just can't notice any lag, it is the same like before for me, maybe experienced players can tell better if there is still lag or not.

You have delay in both dragging and hovering and your tablet stops working, mine while dragging is smooth like the mouse even with the 15-1 drivers was like that and never stopped working, so in dragging there was no problems before or now, if you have delay while dragging then your problem must be something else, the real problem was only when hovering, you could notice the delay with the driver 15-1 by a lot, with the 15-2 the delay for me was gone and 15-3 didn't notice anything same like the 15-2, with the hover distance i never had a problem, but i have seen people complain about this, it must be because they were used to the 480, unless someone can prove the delay in a decent way i don't think there is a real answer.

E: I had a problem with it that when I went to OSU! so the cursor jumping around the edges and liable to click, but when I put the raw imput on so it ended but I was not pleased so I continued playing with the setting and I noticed that when you take out of the ingame sensivity (between 0.4 or 1.6) so it works without the raw imput, i have it like 4,5 so it's just flip out. (the first tablet so I do not know much about these, I hope this had any help  )

First, its "input". Second, when you play with sensitivity raw input turns on by itself. (If you are Windows 8 or above). And there is no point with changing sensitivity. Keep raw input on @1.0x, set frame limiter to unlimited, turn off compability mode - reduce dropped frames - detect performance issues. Tick fullscreen. Turn off OS TabletPC support, Joystick support and Wiimote/TaTaCon Drum support under OTHER settings.

I'm searching on the web about this tablet since 2 month. Many people complainant about input lag, but somebody not. If there is a future named "cursor smoothing" as @Benpoi mentioned, i hope Wacom will make drivers which can able to close it. If it's another issue, i think it can be fixed. I can wait for that. I will buy my CTL 490 Draw in 3 days.

This is actually a driver issue because dragging would not introduce any lags, and there's a temporary fix til the next driver comes out: LINK
It worked for me so... hope it'll help. :)
lol
anyone know a rough estimate for new drivers?

I hope this can help you :)
-------- Things that can cause you input lags --------
1- Wrong version of your drivers
2- Windows Aero

You can solve this issue by blocking the pen tip with some tape, and it will work fine

Does anyone have a problem with wavy lines when drawing slowly? I've been searching all over the web and trying to install older drivers, disabling windows features and I just can't get rid of the damn waves..
