  13. 01:00:122 (7,1) - really confusing as you use nearly half ds so it looks more like higher spaced 1/2, try either stacking/overlapping or moving them further, there are spots/songs/patterns where this might be fine, but this is definitely not one of those i think it's fine here, they are stacked...
  14. 01:03:776 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10) - again a good example where you seemingly switch focus on sounds the whole time this follows the bass the entire time, and the trumpet mimics it.
  15. 01:04:160 (4,5,7,8) - also those are clearly different musical patterns/sounds /4-5 and 7-8) so both stacks shouldnt be on the same spot and they most likely should also not both be stacked they're actually the same note for the trumpet, which is why i stacked them all in the first place
  16. 01:30:313 (1,2,3,4) - easy there hw, lol. if you actually think those fit, then at least make them symmetrical or sth they are symmetrical, like 1,2 and 3,4 are ctrl-h
  17. start the spinner 01:35:312 (1) - on the blue tick already, makes that awkward empty spot smaller i think it's fine as it is.
pretty much everything I mentioned doesn't only occur once but carries on throughou the whole thing and will most likely also be the case for lower diffs

Big Wall of Text About Pretty Much Everything

Only going to look at the highest difficulty, basically everything I say can be applied to lower difficulties. (I didn't look at the GD's, but David's can't be too bad xd )

Why is there kiai in the beginning? It's the same intensity as the section at 00:54:930 (8) - . I think you should just let the ending have kiai since it's the most intense part of the song.

Your hitsounding is inconsistent and disconnected from the song. It sounds pretty dreadful. There's a bit too much to explain in one mod post, so I'll just direct you to this handy guide where you can read up on the basics.

Your overall rhythm choices are inconsistent, and often unfitting. To give a few examples:
  1. 00:09:548 (2) - This is the only time in the intro you map these beats. Every other time you leave a break.
  2. 00:12:432 (5,6) - In general, the head of the slider should always be placed on a stronger beat than the slider's tail. Here 6's head is basically mapped to nothing, and the tail maps part of the melody line and part of the drum line. This is a very unrewarding rhythm to play, because you aren't really clicking your keys to the song. You do this A LOT throughout the whole map, be careful about this.
  3. 01:18:582 (4,5,1) - You randomly decide to add 1/1 gaps to focus on the offbeat stuff here, but you didn't do that earlier in this part.
  4. 00:31:277 (1) - follows the melody differently than 00:34:354 (5,1) - , but they should obviously be the same because the melody was clearly composed to mimick itself really closely.
In general, think more about what effects you're trying to give off, and what parts of the song you want to focus on. Pay more attention to how you use sliders, there's a big difference in emphasis between a sliderhead and a slidertail. Most of your current slider placements and 1/2 circle jump patterns feel like filler.

Your New Combo job is inconsistent and nonsensical. For example:
  1. 00:18:009 (6) - This should clearly be NC'd since it starts a whole new section in the song. In general you should focus more on keeping your NC's structured around the song's downbeats (big white tick, the start of a measure). This song's melody skips over the downbeat a lot, so breaking that structure is understandable, but that base structure should still be in place.
  2. 00:25:316 (4,5) - There isn't an NC here but this rhythm has always had one up to this point.
  3. 00:39:546 (9,1) - Again, the downbeat should be NC'd here, you even NC'd it at 00:36:469 (1) - .
  4. You NC at 00:56:276 (1) - but not at 00:03:971 (3) - even though they're the same rhythm.
Hopefully you get the idea, it's all very inconsistent. Focus more on building your NC's around the song's rhythm and trying to stick to the downbeats or areas where a "thought" begins, like the melody at 00:03:202 (1) - .

The SV change at 01:30:313 (1) - is really dumb, there hasn't been any change in intensity that would warrant sliders faster than the start of this kiai.

And then there are a lot of spacing issues:
  1. 00:07:432 (4,5,6) - Why is this triangle so much larger than 00:08:202 (1,2,3) - when the latter is louder and higher in pitch?
  2. 00:27:239 (1,2,3,4,5,6,1,2) - Why are these jumps so much more intense compared to 00:21:278 (2,3,4,1,2) - ? Or rather, it's more like you have the intense jumps placed at different parts of the same rhythm.
  3. 00:47:238 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8) - Much larger spacing than the surrounding section, namely 00:44:546 (2,3,4) - . I don't really see why.
  4. The whole quiet section of your song has jump patterns similar in intensity to jump patterns in your kiai sections.
  5. 00:14:932 (1,2,3,4,5) - Completely different from 01:07:237 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9) - .
etc etc

There are also a lot of visual/aesthetic issues, but I'm probably the last person to be talking about that.

Level 3

  1. 00:02:625 (2,3) - This gap is quite confusing due to the DS you have used. Such a short distance for a long gap, you should consider atleast stacking it to improve the readability.
  2. I would really recommend you to map all the drums that the song has, you seemed to skip them to map the other instrument (i don't know the name uuh :p) and it's a bit weird to have drums unmapped in a song like this.
  3. About NC, you should use it on the downbeats (big white ticks) in order to make them consistent, at the moment they're quite consistent, but they're a bit bad positioned imo.
  4. 00:14:932 (1,2) - This kind of gap is really confusing, it does look like a normal 1/2 gap but it's 1/3 one, Maybe a lower spacing to the (2) would make all the difference here. This spacing really mislead to a 1/2 pattern.
  5. For this difficulty these are all the points I have to comment, but apart from this, polishing is really necessary here, the map lacks a lot of quality itself due to overlaps, missleading patterns and bad shaped sliders :/
Level 4

  1. For this difficulty I can say barely the same of "Level 3". Overlaps, bad readability and weird NCing. I'm not saying the difficult itself is bad, it looks ok, the rhythm is more or less good, but you should pay more attention to the feeling of the patterns. And besides, undermapping an Insane is completely awful in my opinion. In this difficulty we can find the same gaps where there are drums but not the other instrument that you're following. Let me explain this better. This other instrument is just a complement to the drums, and the drums are what you really should focus in this kind of song without any vocals.
Well, I'm sorry for the long wait and short mod, but I'm not feeling so good these days and the song was quite horrible to my tastes, I really don't like this kind of song. This may not be an excuse for such a long wait, but well.. I'm sorry :/

  1. The third combo color on this diff is different from others. It is 128,128,128 instead of 92,92,92
  2. This diff is somewhat difficult for me to FC because of the greatly distanced objects. You can adjust SV to 1.7 and DS to 1.3x. Btw, why the default SV multiplier for this diff is 0.75x. Should it be 1.0x?
  3. 00:04:548 (7) - Make it into a 1/2 repeating slider.
  4. 00:13:778 (4) - Move to 00:13:586 and adjust clap.
  5. 00:21:470 (1) - Remove clap to have consistency.
  6. 00:43:969 (3) - Make it to a single hitcircle
  7. 00:44:546 (1,2) - Make it a 2 1/2 circle then a hitcircle.
  8. 00:48:776 (1) - Replace with hitobjects. This part don't signal a spinner, imo.

I would agree, but I tried to just follow the hitsounds provided by the cytus mapper. So, claps where there are claps in the song, finishes on finishes, and whatnot.

I thought that following the trumpet would be more interesting, but a lot of people said to just stick to drums. So i guess that will happen.

Final thoughts. Just patterns are nice. They could flow together better but are by no means bad as they stand. The map is overall very readable and feels nice, A few timing issues, and pasterns which iv mentioned could be changed or altered to play better. I think this difficulty still need a few more mods before its rankable.

00:52:238 (1,2,3,1,2) - Not sure what rhythm you are following with this. retime

00:54:545 (1,2,3,4,1) - 5 stack probably to hard for this diff. 3 stack should be fine. 01:16:083 (5,6,7,8,1) - same here

00:57:237 (4,1) - Distance space this or have them stack. This goes for all big spaces like this.

01:01:853 (6) - Have this slider be as long as this one. 01:01:853 (6) -

01:15:313 (1,2,3,4) - This might be to hard for this dif. 01:27:428 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,1) - same again.

Final thoughts. This difficulty seems really weird. Its ar7 but almost 4 stars. I think it would be really easy to just drop slider velocity, bring the spacing down between 1.1 and 1.3 and make this a hard map. With it sitting between a 4.2 and a 1.4 it should probably be around 3.2-3.5 star. Once you do this it will require quite a bit of remaping but as it is now it seems like a weird difficulty.

Level 1


I know very little about easy maps. But everything seems to be timed well. No overlapping. Flows well and everything seems to be distance snapped.

Level 5


This is great. Patterning is lovely, Spaced well. My only concern is that the star rating is very close to level 4. Although that could change since level 4 need to be modded quite a bit.
As a side note I think these part would work better as new combos for ease of readability. 00:57:622 (5) - , 01:00:506 (4) - , 01:03:776 (5) -

Final thoughts. Just patterns are nice. They could flow together better but are by no means bad as they stand. The map is overall very readable and feels nice, A few timing issues, and pasterns which iv mentioned could be changed or altered to play better. I think this difficulty still need a few more mods before its rankable.

Final thoughts. This difficulty seems really weird. Its ar7 but almost 4 stars. I think it would be really easy to just drop slider velocity, bring the spacing down between 1.1 and 1.3 and make this a hard map. With it sitting between a 4.2 and a 1.4 it should probably be around 3.2-3.5 star. Once you do this it will require quite a bit of remaping but as it is now it seems like a weird difficulty.
there will be another diff, but this one's ar will have to be raised as well

I know very little about easy maps. But everything seems to be timed well. No overlapping. Flows well and everything seems to be distance snapped.

This is great. Patterning is lovely, Spaced well. My only concern is that the star rating is very close to level 4. Although that could change since level 4 need to be modded quite a bit.
As a side note I think these part would work better as new combos for ease of readability. 00:57:622 (5) - , 01:00:506 (4) - , 01:03:776 (5) -
