This map was made for Johnny Clark in August, 2010 when we were dating. It was "our song" and I was trying to introduce him to osu! so I figured the best way would be to make a map just for him.

We broke up in May, 2012 and since then have become close to mortal enemies.

Mmmm both diff. are pretty "old style", they look like maps from uhmmm 2 or 3 years ago? well nothing wrong with that but I suggest to remap them trying to fit a little more newest styles (uhm use krisom or gonz has reference their style of mapping fits this song). I rly don't like be "picky" at modding but I will probably point all so just ignore me if you fell like it :roll: (also someone else will point it later anyway saying "new players this.." "new players that... " :lol: ).

Ok! My part of the Mod4Mod :)

[General:]

-BG: Your BG must be 1024x768 or 800x600 (Ratio 4:3). Actually it's 600x450, so, you should change it
-mp3: Your mp3 bitrate is still 320 Kbps which is unrankable. To be rankable the bitrate must be between 128 - 192 Kbps, You have to fix it please
- Preview Point: You are missing the Preview Point on the Normal Difficulty. You must add it in 50333 to be consistent with your Easy difficulty.
- Kiai Time: All of your Kiai Time are Unsnapped (out of some line). You must to resnap it all of them because it's unrankable.
- Offset: The offset is different between the difficulties, Easy: 285 Normal: 265. You must to select the best one and unify it.
- Break: You still have a Break on a Kiai Time (Break in Kiai: 02:14:302), the kiai is supposedly the most important section in the map, so is ridicoulous to have a break on it. You must map this break time.
- Also, you must map the same time on each difficulties, to add it more consistency. The consistency is one of the points to do the map much better. For example if you map in Normal to 03:42:931 try to map in Easy to here too.

[Difficulties:]

- The Settings are too high on each difficulties. For example, the Circle Size is too small to this kind of difficulties really. In Easy diff. Is better if you use CS 3 and in Normal you can use 3 or 4.
- In these kind of difficulties, try to use more patterns with Sliders and not only notes. This doesn't make sense and these difficulties are made to New Players, they need simple Patterns
- Try to use all the elements in the song, not just the vocal. Is not fun to play when you Click in 2 notes/3 Sliders and then you have a little break (about 3 seconds) before the next note. I see this kind of this in Easy especially.

And Ok, I can't say more things about it.
This need a remap because is not following anything comparing with new maps. Try to looks new maps, to have a better Idea.
If you are going remap, feel free to ask me something, and when you finish ask me for a Recheck.

Some of your sliders are intricate, the rest are just lines. It might be best to make everything uniform.

your mp3 bitrate is 225 kbps which is unrankable! use 128-192kbps bitrate. i'm really sorry but because of connection problems i can't give you encoded mp3, atm
ahaanaloguewallpaper.jpg is 600x450, which differs from the recommended size of 1024x768 (or at least 800x600)
please use the same combo colours/preview points/and kiai times (they're inconsistent now ~_~ )

Well I'm getting an off-set of 270 (-15 ms). If you choose to use this, reset timing points, resnap notes, do it on all diffs, etc. etc. Before you change the timing though, I'll mod in the old off-set. :O

[Easy]

00:17:754 (3,4) - Hrm. I'm not too sure about the claps on these. It's purely opinion, but I feel like they're way too obtrusive. Try with whistles instead and see if you like it better or not, but it's still fine as is.
00:22:968 (3,1) - IMO this is a weak blanket. The biggest problems are that 1) The sliders touch and 2) the blanket isn't symmetrical. Try this:


The slider is symmetrical but the problem is that the ends aren't, if you were really precise on this stuff (like me huehuehue) you can use the scale tool to get the slider to its exact minimum. (More or less so) Oh, and while we're still on this topic add claps or whistles (or maybe even a combination of the two) on the start and repeat of the slider?

00:27:140 (3) - Clap/whistle on the end of slider?
00:28:965 (4) - Clap on start of slider?
00:33:137 (2) - Snap this to the grid. (I'm using Grid level 4) After, move it one pixel left, the three hitcircles aren't perfectly linear. (It might be one pixel, but it indeed stands out imo.) You can use a slider to make sure it's perfect.

00:50:345 (1) - AHHH ASYMMETRICAL AHHHH- *shot* Lol. Place it on the y-axis so that the red-point (anchor) is directly on the y-axis. Move the points around and spam the poot out of ctrl+h, until the points won't move anymore. Finally, make sure the endpoint is directly in the centre of the endcircle of the slider for perfect symmetricality~

00:58:689 (1) - This slider doesn't need to be done with that many points... It's fine as is but for future reference let me show you the easy way to do those:


The point in the middle can be removed, but the trick to making these rotationally symmetrical is making sure the diagonal of the main points is cut in half precisely at the centre of the grid. This is why some people use a point in the middle, so they can make sure the line goes straight through the centre. Then, spam the hell out of ctrl+h and ctrl+j, but press them at the same time until again, no points move. Make sure (again) the slider endpoint is in the centre of the slider endcircle.

01:04:164 (6) - This is an unrankable slider. I know you're a BAT, but I like to quote from the guidelines to avoid "NO ITSH NAWT!"

The Rules wrote:

Every slider must have a clear and visible path to follow from start to end. Sliders which overlap themselves in a way that makes any section unreadable or ambiguous (including "burai sliders") cannot be used. This is so that no slider has an appearance that is confusing or impossible for the player to read. Additionally, the slider borders must never be covered up from the slider being packed in too tightly. However, sliders that cross over themselves are fine as long as the borders are clearly visible.
Replace it with something else, you might even get away with copypasting that heart slider. You can talk to me further if you want a different slider, however! :O

01:09:118 (5) - Remove whistle, use Finish?
01:24:762 (1) - As with the other blanket. Spacing is iffy here.
01:35:452 (2,3,4) - As far as technicality goes, 3/4 is not always readable. It's not intuitive. You should establish 3/4 before using hticircles to demonstrate it. In this case, I'd turn (3) and (4) into a slider, because sliders don't discriminate against accuracy. After this, however, 3/4 hitcircles should be fine.
01:46:142 (3) - Clap instead?

01:50:836 - 02:04:133 - Since it's a copypasta chorus, you can just apply any changes you made beforehand.
02:05:176 (6) - This is a meh slider. Contact me if you want it changed! \:D/

Increase hitsound volume, it's way too low specially when the lyrics start i can barely hear the hitsounds and they are an important part of Taiko gameplay. On Taiko it's preferable to try to keep the same volume everywhere if possible, however if it's necessary slight variations could be better. After testing i think it's better to use 50% for everything except kiai where you could have 60% or 65%

On the chorus i'd suggest converting your ddk kdd sections into kdd ddk instead, it sounds better imo.

After the chorus is finished make sure the last note goes back to 50% instead of 5% there shouldnt be any silenced notes in taiko at all.

Not half bad, but the chorus sounds kinda weird, and idk how it can be fixed without remapping it.

The main concern with this map is the hitsound volume, so make sure to fix that first

No star for now, since i only modded Taiko and the map isn't finished yet

I feel like that background is a bit too loud for the song, which is very laid back...if you could find a quieter one that'd work.

- Your mp3 bitrate is at ~225 kbps which exceeds 128~192 which is the current rankable range. Consider to compress it a bit.
- Your background image is at 600x450 dimension and please find one between 800x600 and 1024x768.
- In [Normal] your 3rd kiai ended at 03:00:712 - in which the timing point is not snapped. Note that the rest of the timing sections are also unsnapped and make sure they are still giving desired effect.

00:40:437 - in order to show the vocal/melody at a relatively higher pitch I would prefer putting kkd instead of kdd here

about the kiai I'll suggest to start the triplets 1/2 eailer (so that it ends at vocal instead of starting on it), and the last 2 triplets can be changed into dkd kdk to fit with vocal (actually I agree with Sakura that you might need a bit of remapping there)

Not much problem for the taiko diff as it sticks close to the gituar and vocal, though you may want to work a bit on the kiai time.

Overall:
Try putting your claps (and whistles for the soft parts) on 2 and 4. Sometimes, there will be too many claps and it makes the map sound bitey and stuff.
Hitsounds are also a bit loud.

I don't agree with the copy and pasting in the chorus of Easy & Normal. It makes for boring and repetitive gameplay imo. Also, all the claps sound really weird and don't fit the music. I'm no expert on hitsounds, but maybe snaps or normal whistles might work better.

Several people have pointed to that section, but I think the music forces it enough that putting the circles at any other time would cause more damage than keeping them where they are.
