Round 2? Round 2. (no kds)
[Razakisu's INFINITE]
EDIT:
[Razakisu's INFINITE]
- Just as a general note, the chorus was the easiest part for me to combo, and its probably the past that needs the least amount of work.
- If you keep some of the sliders the way you have them stacked currently, you'll need to up the AR to 9.7
- 00:04:063 (1) - Change this slider to be a flipped version of 00:04:416 (2) - feel free to rotate it if you want, but it looks awkward as you have it now.
- 00:05:828 (6) - Don't get me wrong, I love blankets, but with the placement of the note as it is currently, you're basically going straight down then straight back up again, which isn't really a pleasant pattern to play on this map.
- 00:07:946 (1) - This little guy looks really awkward, like he broke the tip of his finger or something. I suggest either moving the bend slightly up, or getting rid of it entirely. (I prefer the first option.)
- 00:10:770 (4,5) - You're a huge fan of these back and forths. Its a lot better here than the first place I mentioned it, but you're missing a golden opportunity to move the 5 in a position that lets the 00:10:417 (3) - blanket it.
- It bothers me that you aren't emphasizing the "dooo" sound thats at 00:13:417.
- 00:21:710 (1,2) - This double note hit is really not intuitive as its the first place you've included it, and its a build up part so people are more likely to be focused on streaming. I suggest just slapping DS 2.0 on and making it a small jump.
- 00:29:299 (2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,1) - These sliders are honestly really ugly. They're too cramped up or not enough cramped or something like that. Not really sure if it should be changed as it plays fine, but I'm mentioning it.
- 00:30:535 (1,2) - The first slider flows really awkwardly into the second. Maybe rotate the 2nd slider 40 degrees and keep the head in the same place?
- 00:34:416 (8,9) - Eh, I really don't like these. But I notice a pattern that I didn't notice while playing - so maybe it'd be best to keep them since the player will get used to it.
- I just want to mention the jumps starting here: 00:41:828 (1) - and ending here: 00:46:770 (8) - are sometimes way too large for the song's intensity.
- 00:48:181 (2) - You're missing some dank 1/3rd wubs here.
- 00:54:181 (8) - Theres a double wub here, and I like this pattern personally.
- 01:08:271 (4,1) - This transition between counterclockwise turning and clockwise turning seems really forced.
- 01:12:202 (4) - This little guy is impossible to sight read properly as the 1 & 3 are spaced differently than the 2 & 4.
- 01:41:423 (1,2,3,4,5,6) - When I first played this, on the replay my cursor seemed to want to go to where the 5 from the previous combo was, not the 6.
- 01:41:943 (7) - Make the curve on this wave slider a bit larger, especially the side closest to the stream, as its a bit of a sharp turn at the moment for the DS you have.
- 01:42:637 (3,4) - The angle of these in respect to your previous sliders is pretty harsh, but it flows well so I'm not sure. Just something I'm mentioning in case other modders have the same sentiment.
- 01:43:331 (1,2,3,4,5,6,1,2,3,4,5,6) - I was absolutely in love with the chorus until this bit. It makes no sense to me musically, and I don't really like it. I think I'd rather have some sort of slider Kneesocks or something with back and forth jumps. Kind of like what you did here: 01:36:741 (1,2,3,4,5,6) - but maybe you could make the spacing larger and have them vertical rather than horizontal. Overall, I just think the triplets are super anticlimatic.
- Thats about it for this diff. I think its probably one of the better diffs out of the 5*+ and I hope you can get it polished up soon.
EDIT:
Some IRC follow-up
12:27 CrypticMech: hi hello I was afk and I have returned
12:27 CrypticMech: how did Brain Power go?
12:28 [Razakisu]: Welp, NO FUCKIN IDEA WHAT TO DO WITH THOSE TRIPLES
12:28 [Razakisu]: Help .__>
12:28 CrypticMech: werrr
12:29 [Razakisu]: I can clearly hear that those are triples
12:29 [Razakisu]: the 4th beat is non existant
12:29 [Razakisu]: Even thought every other diff has a stream there
12:29 CrypticMech: oh
12:29 CrypticMech: you're mapping the vocals
12:29 CrypticMech: theres a constant 1/4th beat in the background
12:29 CrypticMech: thats what people typically map
12:29 CrypticMech: But if you're mapping the vocals
12:29 CrypticMech: theres a note here
12:30 CrypticMech: 01:44:631
12:30 CrypticMech: 01:44:371 (4,5,6) - right after these
12:30 [Razakisu]: Wait... Now i can hear it, its quiet but i can hear it
12:30 CrypticMech: theres a note, if you're mapping only hte voals
12:30 [Razakisu]: I couldnt yesterday
12:30 [Razakisu]: wut
12:30 CrypticMech: Well I mean
12:30 [Razakisu]: My ears are playing with me
12:30 CrypticMech: 01:43:331 (1,2,3,4,5,6,1,2,3,4,5,6) - for all of this
12:30 CrypticMech: there is a 1/4th beat behind
12:30 CrypticMech: but for the vocals
12:30 CrypticMech: 01:43:331 (1,2,3,4,5,6,1,2,3) - these are correct for the vocals
12:31 CrypticMech: 01:44:371 (4,5,6) - but this needs another note for the end
12:31 CrypticMech: so it dependso n whether you want to map a stream or the vocals here
12:31 CrypticMech: They're about equal intensity and volume in the music
12:31 CrypticMech: so its honestly a personal preference IMO
12:33 CrypticMech: Does that help at all? Or are you still stuck?
12:34 [Razakisu]: Hmm, i can hear there being a 1/2 beat instead of 1/4
12:34 CrypticMech: where?
12:34 [Razakisu]: the 1/4 starts right where i put the stream
12:34 [Razakisu]: for all those triples
12:34 [Razakisu]: So i think i'll just put sliders there
12:34 [Razakisu]: For every 1/2
12:35 CrypticMech: Listen to it on 25%
12:35 CrypticMech: you'll hear it
12:35 CrypticMech: Between 01:44:371 (4,1) - these two notes there should be 3 other notes
12:35 CrypticMech: The o fades off into the dsitance, so is quiet
12:35 CrypticMech: but its there
12:35 [Razakisu]: Still 1/2 for me O.o
12:36 CrypticMech: weird
12:36 CrypticMech: Well
12:36 CrypticMech: if you replace that entire section with sliders
12:36 CrypticMech: then it should be fine
12:36 CrypticMech: How it works is
12:36 CrypticMech: 01:44:371 (4,5) - O(oh) and then on the 5 O(oh)
12:36 CrypticMech: Its like, a loud O on the 4 and 6
12:36 CrypticMech: Sorry, I meant to mark the 6, not the 5
12:37 CrypticMech: Anyway
12:37 CrypticMech: On the 4 its a loud O, on the 6 its a loud O
12:37 CrypticMech: on the 5 its a quiet (oh) and on the where the 7 should be its a quiet (oh)
12:38 [Razakisu]: I think sliders will work the best so ill stick to them
12:38 CrypticMech: Fair enough
