well at least can you show us your system information? 'cause we can'y do much if you didn't do it but for now here some tips to fix the problem

- Update your graphic card
Try to upgrade your graphic card first and try to re-run osu!

-Disable your "Desktop Composition" (Windows 7 only)
  1. Right click "Computer" and click "Properties"
  2. then click "Advanced system setting" on the left panel

  3. and click "setting" on the tab "performance"

  4. then uncheck "Enable Desktop Composition"

Since when is this happening? If it's just since today, could you restart your PC?

Are you playing on Fullscreen or Windowed/Borderless? Do you have your GPU drivers updated?

What renderer are you using, OpenGL or DirectX? If you have OpenGL, change to DirectX.

Also, would be nice to see if you get better performance in Cutting Edge release stream. You can change it in the options.

And make sure to close everything that you don't need to play when you are going to play osu!.

A program running in the background is probably causing this. Please, close everything that you don't need to play. (Browsers, Steam, Skype, etc.)

If that problem is only the colors, probably you have the "Ignore beatmap skins" option disabled, and you are seeing the colors from the beatmap.

What do you mean with "reseted my pc and installed Windows 10"? Did you actually make a clean Windows 10 installation or you only upgraded freom Windows 7/8.1 to 10?

Could you provide your PC specs?

Also, could you change to Cutting Edge release stream, press Ctrl + F11 to show a performance graph, and take a screenshot with that graph enabled when the lag is happening? Thanks

I posted my specs aboce
Well in cutting edge you dont see the lagg on the bar
But on my screen you do see it

And thanks for the skin prob ^^

It is not smooth probably because you don't use vsync (and that's all right) and your monitor's refresh rate is low. Try 240FPS or uncapped, see if it helps. Check if you can overclock your monitor's refresh rate to something higher than 60Hz, even my laptops screen is able to do 100Hz unofficially..

how can i overclock it o.0

You might want to check your sound/audio card drivers. The approach circles are directly tied to whatever values the sound card gives, so the jerkiness you're seeing can be related to that. Does your cursor move completely smoothly even when the approach circles aren't?

Also try disabling snaking sliders in the options.

If you use nvidia graphics card, you can set custom refresh rate in nvidia control panel, go to resolutions and custom, check that checkbox where it says about unsupported framerates and increase it to something higher. I advise you to first check what is maximum refresh rate supported by your monitor first. If you use AMD card, then catalyst control center should have similar process.

Well i did it to max 71 HZ
There is a smoother gameplay now but no difference at those maps
still that lagg is in it

Are you sure it's not just that you can see screen tearing due to the high approach rates of these maps?
If you enable vsync or play in windowed mode with aero enabled, does that get rid of the issue? If so, it's screen tearing.

i already play in window mode with Aero mode
V sync litteraly fuck my whole game its then even worse

but is sort of screen tearing i can see the point in that

Change to OpenGL, Maybe your problem is the frame that is dropping is it? reduce your screen resolution.
Change your graphics card gaming settings quality to low
Kyozoru
I also think the problem is from you installing windows 10. I think i encountered this problem too. still, don't uninstall windows 10

Windows 10 already has vsync enabled when you play in window mode.

Does the problem still goes on? Maybe it's the skin quality affecting it
Topic Starter
Kohona

its getting veeeeery annoying
Kyozoru

You have two options.

  1. Don't use Windowed mode on OSs that you can't turn aero off on. (We have letterboxing support).
  2. Buy a monitor with a higher refresh rate.
If you have any windows open in the background, especially browsers they can cause stuttering.
