The design's much better from a distance. Mostly because the outfit is fanfuckingtastic and the eyes are absolutely awful (what's shown is much easier on my eyes, since I can't really see the new design of his).

This is insane. My childhood is basically Pokemon and now the series itself is trying to reboot with a new art style or something. I just don't think I can handle it. 34 doesn't ruin my childhood, but this sure as hell does.

Anime characters is derimnated by eye size, that's why Ash have bigger eyes now.
