Very detailed mod, I like itPyaKura wrote:
Hello
I'm actually going to make a complete Extra Stage mod because I'm really too lazy to mod the rest lol.
Just a few things before I start, my view on mapping is based a lot on BMS (kind of) patterns, pitch relevancy, and every possible sound I hear, so my mod will be based around these points. Do also note that I have not read the previous mods so I'm sorry if some suggestions have already been done and rejected.
Here we go :
1|2|3|4|5|6|7
00:00:853 (853|6,962|6) - So this does not actually plays bad, but it kind of feels clunky since it's the very beginning of the map and does not flow well due to the lack of "brutal sounds". I suggest removing the minijack somehow. 00:00:962 (962|6) - Moving this to col 5 instead
00:01:510 (1510|5) - Move it to 4 maybe? To catch a glimpse of PR and because it plays better than a bracket.
00:02:057 - https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/3652443 just because PR but else it's ok
00:14:539 - to 00:21:546 - You might want to fill out the gaps located on the blue lines. The song gets more intense here due to the e.guitar coming in and plays over every 1/4 you can find in this part.
00:23:736 - This 1/8 is missing a e.guitar note.
------> Actually, 00:23:791 - to 00:23:955 - is 1/8, the e.guitar and drums are slightly off-sync. Just move down 00:23:791 (23791|5,23900|4) - these two notes by 1/8 and you should be fine.
Add a note on 1 at 00:23:955 - if you want to keep the 1/4 chords. Not too loud for a bass or tom drum sounds
00:24:284 (24284|1,24284|5) - I suggest removing those and emphasize the strong sounds more here by adding a note on 2 at 00:24:174 - and on 1 at 00:24:503 - 00:24:284 - this part here still has the drum sound (more of bass or toms), but added the notes as you mentioned
----> Remove 00:24:941 (24941|5,24941|3) - and same thing, turn the 4 notes chords into 5 notes chords. 00:24:831 - and 00:25:160 - Same thing as I mentioned above
00:25:816 - Definitely missing a note here lol. Review the pattern so it does not jack with 00:25:926 -
00:26:035 - Missing a note.
00:26:473 - ^
00:28:444 - ^
00:29:539 - ^
00:30:634 - ^
00:31:729 - ^
Etc... I know what you're trying to do here but those apparently voluntarily missed notes irk me a bit. Some of the parts don't have the actual bass drum, nor would be the snare drum.
00:32:860 - to 00:33:079 - Electric guitar is in 1/6, 4 notes, not 3 notes on 1/4.
00:33:809 (33809|0,33809|5,33809|3,34028|5,34028|0,34028|3) - Add a note to these twin chords to emphasize the stronger sound in comparison to 00:33:371 (33371|4,33371|6,33371|3,33590|3,33590|6,33590|4) - .
00:34:795 (34795|3,34795|2) - Remove if your not doing the same at 00:35:123 - 00:35:452 - Just consistency. If you listen carefully to the song, it actually has the bass drum
Same for the following one at 00:34:795 (34795|3,34795|2) -
00:39:941 (39941|5,39941|6,39941|3,40050|6,40050|3,40050|5) - no pls just no, not when you follow it with a bracket chordstream. From the previous mod, it's actually to emphasize the strong snare drums on this part, but I'll change the pattern for this
00:49:138 - Add a note on 3 / 00:49:795 - Add a note on 3
00:51:984 (51984|3,51984|5,51984|1,52094|0,52094|6,52094|4) - This however is worthy of having a jack.
00:53:736 (53736|6,53736|4,53736|1,53846|5,53846|2,53846|0) - ^
00:57:568 (57568|0) - Move to 6 for playability.
00:50:670 (50670|5) - to 3 and add a note on 6 at 00:50:889 -
00:51:108 - I suggest this (inserted the 5 notes chord similarly to previous suggestion)
00:51:984 (51984|3,51984|5,51984|1,52094|0,52094|6,52094|4) - jack?
00:53:298 - Add note on 2
00:53:736 (53736|6,53736|4,53736|1,53846|5,53846|2,53846|0) - re-jack ?
00:55:050 (55050|1) - Move to 6, more playable and put more emphasize on the sound.
00:56:802 - Add a note on 3
00:57:897 - Add a note on 2
00:58:554 - ^ on 6
from 00:58:773 - to 01:00:306 - I suggest this
01:00:743 (60743|0) - Move to 3 and 01:00:743 (60743|6) - to 5
01:00:962 - to 01:02:057 - Ctrl + H the previous suggestion with the screenshot and copy/paste it on this section I guess.
Add notes on 01:02:824 - 01:03:152 - 01:03:371 - 01:03:700 - 01:04:028 - 01:04:247 - for the e.guitar. This part sort of lack those I feel.
01:05:670 - to 01:06:218 - the e.guitar would be more than welcome
Ok there comes the fun part that I really feels awkward about lol.
FIrst things first, try to avoid huge bracketing. It's more often than not simply not fun to play, especially when you have to use 1 and 2 or 6 and 7 repeatedly. Instead, prefer chords with notes stuck together. It's more comfy to play and does not remove any quality to the map.
I.e. : 01:06:218 - https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/3652521 This feels much better to play than full brackets, and it keeps the same density (heck I even put a bit of pitch relevancy in there).
01:09:612 (69612|6,69721|6) - rip in pieces, I guess you can remove 01:09:612 (69612|6) -
01:11:363 (71363|2,71473|2) - this one is fine since it's a simple triplet.
01:16:400 (76400|1,76509|1,76509|6,76619|6) - Errrr no.
01:22:641 (82641|6,82750|6) - ^
01:26:363 - Uuuuuh so many brackets, consider making this simpler with chords with notes next to each other.
01:27:787 - missing a e.guitar note
01:28:444 - 01:29:101 - 01:29:320 - 01:29:539 - etc ^ I wouldn't map only chord triplets here as far as I'm concerned.
01:31:181 (91181|2,91181|0,91181|1,91327|1,91327|2,91327|0,91473|2,91473|0,91473|1,91619|2,91619|0,91619|1,91765|4,91765|5,91765|6,91911|4,91911|6,91911|5,92057|4,92057|5,92057|6,92203|6,92203|4,92203|5) - those are cool I like. Might want to stick those 3 01:31:765 (91765|4,91765|6,91765|5) - to the left and move 01:32:349 (92349|1,92349|3,92349|2) - to the right if you want a balanced pattern.
01:33:809 (93809|2,93918|1,93918|2,93918|4,94028|1,94028|4) - cedisutgxcèiyshtdiguusjh
01:36:546 (96546|0,96655|0) - well you know how I feel about that I guess lol
This is very chordy, not that I don't like it but there are some major issues from my own point of view which may very well be different from yours and other mappers and modders, but that is what a mod is I guess. Anyways, good luck with your map !
It helps actually <3-SoraGami- wrote:

mod here
1|2|3|4|5|6|7
these are all a suggestion, sorry im just new to 7k :v
also, i will only mod diffs that i can pass
[Basic]
- 00:16:729 (16729|2) - move to 5, more comfortable in that way
- 00:20:014 (20014|1) - move to 3? for balance
- 01:06:655 (66655|3) - move to 5 for balance
- 01:20:451 (80451|5) - move to 7, more easy for nov players imo
- 01:28:553 (88553|1) - move to 3 for the presence of the notes in every flow
[Advance]
- 00:07:970 (7970|0) - remove one note? not that loud, and before you only put it in the white lines (drums maybe) For the snare drums, two notes are enough
- 00:11:364 (11364|5) - move to 7
- 00:27:568 (27568|1) - move to 3 for balance
- 00:38:627 (38627|4) - move to 6
- 01:07:750 (67750|2,67860|3) - 4,6?
- 01:07:860 (67860|5) - add? Not too loud
- 01:25:488 - add note, you add them here 01:23:736 - 01:21:984 -
sorry just these...
no kudos if this doesnt help
Good Luck!

00:03:700 (3700|2) - i think just remove this, to be more clear as emphasise drum at 1/2 It would be too awkward imo, since the background music already has some of the drums on it
00:10:926 (10926|2) - remove this, not really clear sound like 00:09:174 -
00:58:554 - http://puu.sh/k6YdD/447e8db3f9.jpg
01:32:495 (92495|3) - move to |7|

00:12:568 (12568|4) - remove
00:42:568 - add note, emphasise louder sound I'd rather follow the hi-hat drum only, but ok
01:35:342 (95342|4,95396|2,95451|4) - remove, singles in burst here is enough la
[Extreme]
00:11:692 (11692|1) - remove
00:42:568 - ^ Advanced
01:06:218 - start from until end is many overnotes, gah lazy la, not all doubles there "should be doubles"

ok. mostly overnotes

00:41:692 still throws me off 10/10 (i know, its a hard to execute thing because the song in itself is an ass here)
Was expecting some more issues so i called doing a part 2. Looks like i ll be doing a quickie here.EXTRA STAGEEEEE00:00:525 is good but i think this is better. Testplay it http://puu.sh/k7wlE/5cedc2bb94.png tried doing this because there is some unnecessary stress in the left hand

besides 00:41:692 the map is good although 01:26:363 and and THIS 01:35:780 are a bit too mean I did it on purpose for the "second to the last" part of the song. I'll reconsider this if modders have complains on this

This is kind of unrelated to the progression of the map but you know you can select the timing points directly in the editor (F6 window) and copy/paste here. It will paste the code, and anyone can copy this code and paste it directly in the F6 window. This way you have no need to even open the .osu file.

My2cents: I would propose moving some notes. Here's the list of things I suggest moving if I were to enjoy playing the map a bit more. If not, I'll stay with your version of the map and practice.
- 00:10:166 (10166|2,10385|0) - Map to 0,2.
00:12:575 (12575|5,12684|4,12794|3) - Move to 3,4,5.
00:17:611 (17611|4,17721|2,17830|1) - Move to 0,2,4.
00:18:049 (18049|6) - Move to 5.
00:34:688 (34688|0,34688|3) - Move to 12.
00:35:016 (35016|3,35016|6) - Move to 45.
00:38:192 (38192|5) - Move to 4.
00:39:287 (39287|4,39396|3,39505|2) - Move to 5,3,1.
01:05:126 (65126|2,65126|4) - Move to 15.
01:18:484 (78484|1) - Move to 0.
01:19:360 (79360|2) - Move to 4.
01:20:235 (80235|0) - Move to 3.
01:20:454 (80454|6) - Move to 0.
01:26:586 (86586|5) - Move to 4.
01:32:717 (92717|1) - Move to 2.
01:34:907 (94907|6,95016|4) - Flip horizontally (Ctrl+H).
Applied everything, thanksEvening wrote:
Alright finally got around to modding stuff
EXTRA STAGE
- This really reminds me of BMS stuff which is nice, osu!mania needs more BMS stuff
- One thing I'm really worried about this map is that it might be called out as "overmapped" or "overchorded" or whatnot, I'd really love to have this map ranked actually, it has a really nice BPM for brackets and big chords. uhhh can you ask a QAT about this for now, cause im really not sure about this :c
That should be it for now, confirm with the QATs on this diff and i'll continue the rest, should be quick and fast before the bubble
okay thanks, will re-edit EXTRA STAGE diff soonExPew wrote:
chord looks okay. but, still needs more polish your pattern cause looks off rhythm somewhere

Hi o/
Modding Request Via Queue
7K column : 1-2-3-4-5-6-7
Basic :
00:23:414 –you miss a beat here, add a circle at column 7
00:46:513 (46513|3) –delete, it just like ghost note Nope, for hi-hat
EXTREME :
00:01:629 –make it into 3 notes for the same pattern (00:02:067 -) Not that loud, nor would I follow for the pattern
00:46:513 (46513|3) –delete hi-hat
00:48:046 –make it 3 notes for consistency (00:46:951 -) not loud for a soft cymbal sound
00:47:279 – delete the hitsound cause i don’t feeling good with the hitsound, just feel unmatch for me and in case you just use it before if you listen closely to the original mp3, you'll know why i decline this
00:50:454 –use 3 notes for consistency like 00:46:951 - 00:47:279 – nope, not too loud
00:55:053 –add hitsound like 00:54:396 –
*sometime you like to use double hitsound at 2 close place and sometimes not If you notice some notes that have 2 hitsounds, there's a sampleset that you can listen to.
EXTRA STAGE :
00:10:495 –add a circleat column 5 or 6 to make it look still continue(u just miss a little beat) no sound, try playback rate 25%
00:12:247 –same^ at column 2/3/4 ^ same
00:13:122 –better only let circle at column 5, cause the sound is less than 00:13:013 – re-arranged
00:20:239 –delete the hitsound cause i don’t feeling good with the hitsound, just feel unmatch for me as stated on the extreme diff you modded, if you listen carefully to the original mp3, you'll know why
00:20:787 – until 00:21:553 - why there’s no stair pattern here, while the guitar is playing like it, and u only use double note which only following the drum sound good point, re-arranged
00:25:383 –u better add notes here, cause the sound already start here not at 00:25:492 – nope, no sound
00:29:433 - delete the hitsound cause i don’t feeling good with the hitsound, just feel unmatch for me and in case you just use it before nope, listen carefully to the original mp3, like i said before
00:43:776 –same^ ^
00:55:053 –add the hitsound (00:54:396 -) to make the consistency like (00:52:644 –and 00:53:301 -)
Modding Done^^
