Came across an interesting article about what we might see in the near future. Scientists have found a way to make smartphones "heal" their cracks - like the human body does with blood. The way it works is similar to the human body, too, but I suggest you read the article on your own :p

Your Next Cracked Cellphone Screen Will Self Repair

Any thoughts on this? I personally never had really deep scratches or even cracks on my phone because I usually look after my stuff, but I'd gladly appreciate self healing displays - just in case!

Isn't technology like this already in some phones? :?

For example, the LG G Flex 2 with it's back panel. Any scratches made on the back panel will fix itself. It's screen isn't like this though, which is a shame. :p

maybe phone manufacturers should focus on making displays not break in the first place

I think there might be more important applications for such a technology that for cracked iPhone screens.
