Problem Details:
On maps where there is a massive amount of notes (6000+) and are long (5 min+), towards the end the notes are being rendered in such way they appear later then they need to. The effect is notes just go into visibility in the middle of the scroll area. While the screenshots show that the notes appear towards the top in the default skin, a skin with larger column sizes will make this bug more noticeable.

Didn't get it until Comparision C O_o.

Anyways.. Seems really hard to find that bug... How did you notice of that?

I guess this should be, at least, considered.

It's easy to notice if you play 5 star marathon maps. My skin blocks half the bottom out so noticing when there are long notes missing half of their tail wasn't trivial. If you notice the left boxed sided, the end of that long note doesn't show up until its screentime (at least for my skin) almost expires. Hitting that on some maps would make anyone go "wtf?!?".

I see... Interesting bug... Well, I guess it is confirmed, I hope it gets fixed soon.

Gah the timing changed after the updates....i hit it normally as always but i don't think my hand hitting time is wrong but usually when i play that map i got A or B but i got C cause i get too many bad and good but my hand timing was always the same i tested 3 time also the same result

oh yea i often got this rendering bug.

https://osu.ppy.sh/s/328551 go play/auto this map. the bug should occur around 25 minutes or 30 minutes.

i guess my explanation about this bug is the amount of RAM/Memory used for each note to render. as you go longer, osu gets heavier and making the note rendering delayed. i could be wrong tho..

This should already be fixed on cutting edge. I am also pushing a fix for the underlying issue (which is not applicable any more, but best to patch it for good).

Issue(s) in this thread have been addressed by the following changes:
  1. Remove optimisation for large number of (non-visible) sprites in a single SpriteManager. (peppy)


The changes will be applied to builds newer than b20150818.6cuttingedge.

Please follow up in this thread if you believe more work needs to be done to fix the mentioned issues. If they have not yet been resolved, please provide any new details that may have arisen after this build.
