I'd like to know what people's music volume is in relation to their hitsound volume (effect volume), to get an idea for what volumes to use for mapping.
Endaris
1:1

That's also the one I'd assume for mapping as people either use the default or have hitsounds > music because they want the hard feedback and if they want the hard feedback they should get it by mapping with 1:1.

I don't need you to calculate the actual ratio, just list the numbers.

ithgyu
master 40% effect 100% music 65%

Music: 30%

Depends on the map.
If map hitsounds are loud i play with 100:100
If hitsounds are silent i can go even with 100:20/10
Kradfiz
Music: ~35% (varies by map)
Effect: 100% (always)

I change mine often. Different maps and hitsounds have different volume, so it doesn't matter.

My current ones are music 15%, effect 45%.
Pituophis
music at 70%
Effects at 100%
E m i
music 30%, effects 100%
_entropic
usually 1:1, but on some maps I make the music louder to around 4:3
Dephix
effects 100%
music 20%
Karuta-_old_1
80%/80%

volume 5% for shit songs, volume 20% most of the time, volume 30% if I am deaf
Rio-
3:4

Music - 75%;
Effects - 100%;
but for mapping, I usually use 3:5 or 1:2 ratio
Fatal3ty
60% Music
100% Effect

I play with Hitsounds. :)

Music 0% if the song is shit, probably.

Why even bother playing the map then

Started off as 70% music 100% effect then one day decided to turn effect down to 0% and played like that for a week or 2. Now I range somewhere between 20-50% depending on how loud the map is. I like being able to just barely hear my hit sounds under the music. I also switched keyswitches during the time I had effects at 0% and my accuracy tanked so idk, probably a relation there. I find now that I can power through streams if I don't focus on hitsounds but they are nice for lining up downbeats on other things. I'm still too lazy to go back up to 100% music and readjust from there though so still at 70%.
