I'm looking for a way to find beatmaps within a particular difficulty range (4.0 - 5.0 stars only, 4.5 - 5.25 stars only, etc.) I've tried filtering the beatmap search by using "star>X" but I seem to be doing something wrong. Suggestions?

Conditions like star>5 only apply in-game on the map select screen. There's no current way to search for certain star ratings on the website yet. You can try using "recommended difficulty" to find maps closer to your skill level though.
