2015-06-18 01:27 EvilElvis: i don't like how drums sounds here, probably because of volume
2015-06-18 01:28 EvilElvis: 01:25:540 (1) - nice idea would be decreasing sv gradually from here till the end
2015-06-18 01:29 EvilElvis: 00:12:848 (4,5) - try to avoid something like that
2015-06-18 01:29 EvilElvis: it have to be spaced more
2015-06-18 01:29 Hard: ahh ok
2015-06-18 01:29 EvilElvis: because it's almost the same with spacings between 1/2
2015-06-18 01:29 EvilElvis: at least it looks like that
2015-06-18 01:30 Hard: hm true
2015-06-18 01:30 EvilElvis: better space it more or eve stack it
2015-06-18 01:30 EvilElvis: it could work as well
2015-06-18 01:30 EvilElvis: brb
2015-06-18 01:30 Hard: ok

2015-06-18 01:34 EvilElvis: this map had some simmilar moments
2015-06-18 01:35 Hard: 00:18:617 (1) - here i rather not stack but increase spacing
2015-06-18 01:36 Hard: 00:35:540 (6,1) - is this okay?
2015-06-18 01:36 EvilElvis: yes

2015-06-18 01:40 EvilElvis: 00:24:771 (5) - also about this
2015-06-18 01:41 EvilElvis: it won't work good because of slider curve
2015-06-18 01:41 EvilElvis: better ctrl+h it or so

2015-06-18 01:49 EvilElvis: 00:35:925 (1,2,3) - maybe it's personal but i really dislike this stuff because of looking
2015-06-18 01:49 Hard: changed into 1/2
2015-06-18 01:49 EvilElvis: hey, it's not like a typical mod
2015-06-18 01:50 EvilElvis: ask questions if you have some
2015-06-18 01:50 Hard: i know it's not but it's all true though
2015-06-18 01:50 Hard: i understand most, though
2015-06-18 01:50 EvilElvis: huuum
2015-06-18 01:50 Hard: but i like the stuff you didn't like because of looking
2015-06-18 01:50 Hard: the 1/2 was because there was sound in the background i propably made the same mistakes in the kiai
2015-06-18 01:52 EvilElvis: about this stuff at least you could move 00:36:310 (2) - a bit high like [https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/3268300 that]
2015-06-18 01:52 Hard: hm okay
2015-06-18 01:52 Hard: that's true
2015-06-18 01:52 Hard: looks more natural i guess
2015-06-18 01:54 EvilElvis: 00:37:079 (1,2,3,4,5,6) - hey
2015-06-18 01:54 EvilElvis: hey
2015-06-18 01:54 EvilElvis: hey
2015-06-18 01:55 EvilElvis: check the structure
2015-06-18 01:55 EvilElvis: https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/3268308
2015-06-18 01:55 EvilElvis: also, i'd nc it as you could see
2015-06-18 01:55 EvilElvis: and make something like that
2015-06-18 01:55 EvilElvis: a sec
2015-06-18 01:57 EvilElvis: https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/3268312 http://puu.sh/isQXB/2e5bad82e7.jpg
2015-06-18 01:57 EvilElvis: 00:42:464 (7,1) - too curved!
2015-06-18 01:58 EvilElvis: 00:50:156 (5) - and that one
2015-06-18 01:58 EvilElvis: it's just looks not good honestly
2015-06-18 01:58 Hard: i like the structure
2015-06-18 01:59 Hard: why is it wrong.. .i mean the triangle
2015-06-18 02:00 EvilElvis: because it isn't symmetrical
2015-06-18 02:00 Hard: but i didn't want symmetrical
2015-06-18 02:00 Hard: i wanted a triangle
2015-06-18 02:00 Hard: i just rotated 120°
2015-06-18 02:00 EvilElvis: what looks messy in this kind of patterns
2015-06-18 02:00 EvilElvis: but oh well, i don't want to force you here
2015-06-18 02:00 EvilElvis: but
2015-06-18 02:01 EvilElvis: better rotate it as i showed
2015-06-18 02:01 Hard: i think it's ok
2015-06-18 02:01 Hard: hm
2015-06-18 02:01 Hard: okay i agree with rotating
2015-06-18 02:03 EvilElvis: 00:48:233 (4,5) - didn't got this jump
2015-06-18 02:03 EvilElvis: there is nothing to emphazise like that
2015-06-18 02:03 EvilElvis: 00:53:233 (1) - and again, it looks bad honestly
2015-06-18 02:04 EvilElvis: 00:57:656 (8,1) - since downbeat
2015-06-18 02:04 EvilElvis: it needs even more spacings
2015-06-18 02:04 Hard: i wanted this jump to uhm... wait... build up
2015-06-18 02:04 Hard: as a build up for the kiai
2015-06-18 02:04 EvilElvis: not that big
2015-06-18 02:04 Hard: i like it curved
2015-06-18 02:04 EvilElvis: downbeat jump is okay
2015-06-18 02:05 EvilElvis: but not that one
2015-06-18 02:05 Hard: okay i made it a bit smaller
2015-06-18 02:05 EvilElvis: 01:02:464 (1,3) - the meh overlap
2015-06-18 02:05 EvilElvis: plez avoid
2015-06-18 02:06 EvilElvis: 01:06:694 (8,9) - you could make it a bigger jump
2015-06-18 02:06 EvilElvis: depends on you
2015-06-18 02:06 Hard: no i think this one's okay
2015-06-18 02:06 EvilElvis: to make flow more interesting i suggest [https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/3268333 this]
2015-06-18 02:06 Hard: or maybe the whole square
2015-06-18 02:06 Hard: hm...
2015-06-18 02:07 Hard: oh this is good
2015-06-18 02:08 EvilElvis: 01:10:925 (3) - not a best slider form tho
2015-06-18 02:08 Hard: okay this feels nice
2015-06-18 02:08 Hard: yeah i suck at making pretty sliders
2015-06-18 02:08 Hard: i curve it better
2015-06-18 02:09 EvilElvis: actually not, your patterns is nice
2015-06-18 02:09 EvilElvis: you just need some work with
2015-06-18 02:09 EvilElvis: ncing
2015-06-18 02:09 EvilElvis: in patterns
2015-06-18 02:09 Hard: ah okay
2015-06-18 02:09 EvilElvis: to make them more pretty
2015-06-18 02:09 Hard: i just nc every 2nd big white tick
2015-06-18 02:10 EvilElvis: i didn't meant this
2015-06-18 02:10 EvilElvis: look
2015-06-18 02:10 EvilElvis: 01:18:617 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8) - as example
2015-06-18 02:10 EvilElvis: https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/3268348
2015-06-18 02:10 EvilElvis: you could do something like that
2015-06-18 02:10 EvilElvis: and because
2015-06-18 02:11 EvilElvis: ncs kills half of the
2015-06-18 02:11 EvilElvis: damn forgot the name of this stuff
2015-06-18 02:11 EvilElvis: follow point?????
2015-06-18 02:11 EvilElvis: i guess so
2015-06-18 02:11 EvilElvis: it looks a bit more clean
2015-06-18 02:11 EvilElvis: but well, old wasn't bad as well
2015-06-18 02:12 EvilElvis: i just thought that this patter could show it good
2015-06-18 02:12 EvilElvis: and again brb
2015-06-18 02:12 Hard: ah okay
2015-06-18 02:12 Hard: okay cu
2015-06-18 02:12 Hard: hm this seems plausible with nc and stuff i never know what i'm doing there
2015-06-18 02:16 EvilElvis: 01:20:540 (4,1) -
2015-06-18 02:16 EvilElvis: nono
2015-06-18 02:16 EvilElvis: avoid these overlaps
2015-06-18 02:17 EvilElvis: try to overlap less
2015-06-18 02:17 EvilElvis: overlaps is the evil creation of mapping
2015-06-18 02:17 EvilElvis: 01:17:079 (2,4) - here too
2015-06-18 02:17 Hard: huh
2015-06-18 02:17 Hard: what overlap
2015-06-18 02:18 Hard: 01:22:079 (4,1) -
2015-06-18 02:18 EvilElvis: http://puu.sh/isSko/195d5252fc.jpg
2015-06-18 02:18 Hard: i can't see any overlap
2015-06-18 02:18 Hard: 01:17:848 (4) - this one i'll fix
2015-06-18 02:18 EvilElvis: ehh
2015-06-18 02:18 EvilElvis: a sec
2015-06-18 02:18 EvilElvis: 01:20:540 (4,1) -
2015-06-18 02:18 Hard: huuuh
2015-06-18 02:18 Hard: ahhh
2015-06-18 02:19 Hard: i still can't find any overlap
2015-06-18 02:19 Hard: ah 01:20:540 (2,1) - this?
2015-06-18 02:19 EvilElvis: 01:20:540 (4) -
2015-06-18 02:19 EvilElvis: here
2015-06-18 02:19 EvilElvis: with the slider
2015-06-18 02:19 Hard: ah ookay
2015-06-18 02:19 Hard: i see
2015-06-18 02:20 EvilElvis: 01:22:464 (5) - curve
2015-06-18 02:20 EvilElvis: 01:23:233 (1,2,3,4,5,6) -
2015-06-18 02:20 EvilElvis: nice
2015-06-18 02:20 EvilElvis: 01:24:386 (6,7,8) - and this too
2015-06-18 02:21 EvilElvis: 8 elvis points from 10
2015-06-18 02:21 Hard: yay
2015-06-18 02:21 EvilElvis: but these drums really bothers me
2015-06-18 02:21 EvilElvis: i'd go into normals
2015-06-18 02:21 EvilElvis: and soft whistles
2015-06-18 02:21 EvilElvis: even some soft claps
2015-06-18 02:21 Hard: hm okay
2015-06-18 02:21 EvilElvis: want me to hitsound it?
2015-06-18 02:23 Hard: but the drumfinishes are okay?
2015-06-18 02:23 Hard: um yeah why not
2015-06-18 02:23 EvilElvis: would be fine but if you'll decrease the volume
2015-06-18 02:23 EvilElvis: okie
2015-06-18 02:23 EvilElvis: wait some time
2015-06-18 02:23 EvilElvis: i'll hitsound the version you gived me without your fixes
2015-06-18 02:24 EvilElvis: i'll just save it as a new diff
2015-06-18 02:26 Hard: ohh okay
2015-06-18 03:09 EvilElvis: http://puu.sh/isVl5/6a163cf704.osu
2015-06-18 03:11 Hard: oh this is much better
2015-06-18 03:12 EvilElvis: because it had the basic rhythm
2015-06-18 03:12 EvilElvis: these soft whistles
2015-06-18 03:13 Hard: ah okay
2015-06-18 03:13 EvilElvis: it helps if you planing to add something whad doesn't exist in the song
2015-06-18 03:14 EvilElvis: (talking about patterns of samples)
2015-06-18 03:14 Hard: i understand because the whistles give a good foundation
2015-06-18 03:14 Hard: and you somehow work over it?
2015-06-18 03:15 EvilElvis: yes
2015-06-18 03:15 Hard: 00:37:079 (4,5,6,7,8,9) - i have to say now in editor this does really look a lot better
2015-06-18 03:16 Hard: no wait

2015-06-18 03:16 Hard: i really like it though
2015-06-18 03:16 Hard: huehe
2015-06-18 03:17 Hard: is it possible to just copy hitsounds and not the rest of the map?
2015-06-18 03:17 EvilElvis: yes
2015-06-18 03:18 Hard: how
2015-06-18 03:18 EvilElvis: https://osu.ppy.sh/p/search?cx=007714945049801807819%3Afwdivvi5sik&cof=FORID%3A10&ie=UTF-8&q=hitsound+copier&siteurl=osu.ppy.sh%2Fwiki%2FRU%3AWelcome&ref=&ss=5021j2102859j17

2015-06-18 03:19 Hard: why

Hi M4M

[General]
  • Oh the mapset isn't complete yet so okay alright
  1. Colour Combo 3 is just ruining the whole thing. Suggestion: Blue > Green
  2. Always check the AiMod so ya
[Normal]
  1. The number of spinners should be as the Insane diff for all difficulties, which is only the one at 01:34:098 (1). The others should be mapped imo
  2. 00:17:079 (2) - tbh moving the circle down and blanket w/ 00:17:464 (1) would help in flow and design much idk
  3. 00:19:771 (1) - Making it flat improves flow in this case
  4. 00:23:233 (3) - NC
  5. 00:26:694 (3) - ^
  6. 00:25:540 (1) - Making the slider flat looks better in design imo
  7. 00:33:233 (3,1) - Blanket could improve design more
  8. 00:38:233 (1,2) - Fix imperfect blanket
  9. 00:41:694 (1,2) - ^
  10. 00:50:540 (3,1) - ^
  11. 00:57:848 (1) - Move to x:348 y:144 so that slider heads and tails are parallel and vertical
  12. 01:01:310 (3) - NC
  13. 01:02:464 (1,2) - Nazi for blanket
  14. 01:10:348 (4,1,2) - The flow here is quite not smooth. Suggestion https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/3269862
  15. 01:10:925 (2,3,1) - Make them collinear and perfect horizontal
  16. 01:15:156 (1,2) - Still nazi for blanket
  17. 01:23:617 (1,2,3) - ^
  18. 01:30:156 (1,2) - ^
  19. 01:34:002 (1) - Why not stack w/ 01:33:233 (4)?
[Insane]
  1. 00:20:925 (1) with 00:21:694 (3) - Fix blanket
  2. 00:22:464 (5) - Separate from 00:23:233 (1) a little or just perfect blanket them better imo just for design stuffs
  3. 01:07:079 (1,2) - Imperfect blanket
Good luck

  • Oh the mapset isn't complete yet so okay alright
  1. Colour Combo 3 is just ruining the whole thing. Suggestion: Blue > Green hm maybe you're right. i thought blue would fit with the background because it's really green but.. hm... not sure. maybe i'll fix
  2. Always check the AiMod so ya there is a normal under 2.0 so it's okay. i put in a preview point + fixed the mp3 though
[Normal]
  1. The number of spinners should be as the Insane diff for all difficulties, which is only the one at 01:34:098 (1). The others should be mapped imo i'll consider it if others say the same
  2. 00:17:079 (2) - tbh moving the circle down and blanket w/ 00:17:464 (1) would help in flow and design much idk i think it's okay. It's a straight line with 3 circles and it works fine.
  3. 00:19:771 (1) - Making it flat improves flow in this case fixed
  4. 00:23:233 (3) - NC fixed
  5. 00:26:694 (3) - ^ fixed
  6. 00:25:540 (1) - Making the slider flat looks better in design imo ok
  7. 00:33:233 (3,1) - Blanket could improve design more ugh ok
  8. 00:38:233 (1,2) - Fix imperfect blanket ugh ok
  9. 00:41:694 (1,2) - ^ ugh ok
  10. 00:50:540 (3,1) - ^ ugh ok
  11. 00:57:848 (1) - Move to x:348 y:144 so that slider heads and tails are parallel and vertical no because 00:56:310 (3,1) - would touch
  12. 01:01:310 (3) - NC ok
  13. 01:02:464 (1,2) - Nazi for blanket ok
  14. 01:10:348 (4,1,2) - The flow here is quite not smooth. Suggestion https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/3269862 i think it's okay i don't want a stack in my normal
  15. 01:10:925 (2,3,1) - Make them collinear and perfect horizontal ok
  16. 01:15:156 (1,2) - Still nazi for blanketok
  17. 01:23:617 (1,2,3) - ^ ok
  18. 01:30:156 (1,2) - ^ ok
  19. 01:34:002 (1) - Why not stack w/ 01:33:233 (4) i don't want to increase the difficulty?
[Insane]
  1. 00:20:925 (1) with 00:21:694 (3) - Fix blanket not supposed to really blanket. it won't change the experience while playing
  2. 00:22:464 (5) - Separate from 00:23:233 (1) a little or just perfect blanket them better imo just for design stuffs i think it's fine
  3. 01:07:079 (1,2) - Imperfect blanket fixed.
Good luck
thanks

hi. from your queue

[General]
  1. Make Easy and Hard diff
[Hitsounds]
  1. About that normal hitsounds, I don't think that it is fitable for the song
  2. Rather than using finish, try to use whistle instead
[Normal]
  1. 00:16:310 (1) - aim the tail to (2)
  2. 00:37:464 (2,3) - (2) should be 256|300, then (3) must copy paste from (1) to make it symmetrical pattern
  3. 00:49:002 and 00:49:387 - you should add a note here
  4. 01:11:502 (3) - 284|68 to make it better
idk the rest of the problems. GL!

Hey~
M4M from my modding queue, really nice map!

General

- Here's a cookie
- Disable "Widescreen Support" on Normal & toybot's Hard, it's only used for storyboards

Normal

- 00:21:694 (2) - This object touches the accuracy on a 4:3 screen
- 00:54:002 (2) - This object touches the scorebar on a 4:3 screen
This stuff look useless but your map can be unranked just for that
There's a lot of NCs here, why don't you delete 1/2 of them ? Examples: 00:12:848 (1) - 00:15:156 (1) - etc.
- 00:38:233 (1,2) - Improve this blanket
- 01:30:156 (1,2) - Can be a bit nicer

toybot's Hard

- 00:30:156 (1,3) - Overlap
- 00:34:002 (4,5,1) - Improve this blanket
- 00:55:348 (7,1) - ^
- 00:59:002 (1) - Sliderwaves are made like that
- 01:06:117 - Why not on this order ?
- 01:11:694 (1,2,3) - Improve this blanket
- 01:32:464 (1,2) - ^

Insane

- 00:19:002 (2) - It touches the acc on a 4:3 screen
- I don't see anything else, I'm pretty bad at mapping 4+ stars, so I let the others see about that ^.^

Here's a kudo' for your map, bye :)

Hello! From my queue

General

  1. Not everyone understands this, but the bpm should be halved. It is correct that the time signature is 3/4. however, the 3 "beats" of that signature are like this. You can kinda hear it in the song (more in the kiai and after, the start of the song might trick you), but you can also feel it.

Halving the bpm would make a lot more sense, because the 3 "beats" you can feel will be the beats of the metronome in the editor. I recommend you to change this, don't forget to double the slider velocity to 3.2
  2. Nice song
Insane

  1. Clean map, fun to play, well done.
  2. Maybe a custom diff name if you can think of one
00:19:002 (2,4,6) - I don't really hear a reason to use finishes here
00:23:810 (2,3) - It would be more logical for a smaller distance between 00:23:233 (1,2) - , and a larger distance here, which will follow the same spacing of the previous measures
00:25:348 (6) - Drum finish doesn't really fit here. I'm not sure if you're trying to add your own elements to the song regarding hitsounds
00:39:387 (4,5) - This jump is quite large. I suggest rotating 00:39:771 (5,6) - a little clockwise and moving it closer to 00:39:387 (4) -
00:42:079 (5) - I suggest moving this next to the slider-end (on the right side), because the stack kinda forces spacing to be small here, which doesn't really follow your increased spacing for the piano note structure. You will still be able to emphasize the note on 00:42:271 (6) -
01:01:694 (6,7) - Just a suggestion: 01:01:694 (6,7) - Ctrl+g, and move 01:01:887 (7) - (or (9) if you want to reverse the pattern) beneath 01:01:310 (4) - . This will you will emphasize the sound in the song you used the finish for, instead of a jump which isn't really mapped to anything as strong
01:06:694 (8,9,1) - The pattern is really building up here, which is nice. However, currently the jump between 01:06:694 (8,9) - is bigger than between 01:06:887 (9,1) - , which is kinda weird considering it's the start of a new part in the song. A shape like this will work out perfectly in this scenario
01:07:464 (2) - this is the only thing that really bothered me. Why not ctrl+G this slider? It will play sooo much better D:
01:17:464 (3) - Remove the whistle from the sliderbody
01:17:848 (4,5,1) - Either consistent spacing or move (5) closer to (4) so (1) will be emphasized
01:29:002 (1,2) - Why a different pattern here from all the surrounding ones? This beat doesn't have anything special :)

toybot's Hard

00:56:310 (3,4,1) - Consistent spacing or a larger distance between 00:56:694 (4,1) - would make more sense here
00:49:771 (1) - and 00:59:002 (1) - maybe circles would work out better here, because of the stronger beat (which the finish on the slider-end indicates). You did a similar thing here 01:03:617 (1,2,3,4) -
01:24:579 (1,2,1,2,1,2) - With this patter, you will emphasize the wrong circles (or at least the way you intended, looking at the combo colors). I tried to make it clear http://puu.sh/iXQJT/953d8911b4.jpg. Red circle=the way your pattern currently emphasizes the circle. Blue circle= The circles that actually should be emphasized. You could easily shift the NCs, but I recommend a change of pattern, maybe a similar one, that will fit better, like this.
01:34:194 (1) - I see the spinner is ending earlier in you diff (it's not really clear where the violin starts fading away) but I recommend moving the inherited point with the lower volume so your spinner-end will be soft as well. (I think that was the intention of the inherited point you added, but you forgot to change the volume

Normal

00:27:848 (1,1) - I'm sure this is going to cause you a DQ. The time between the spinner and the slider is quite small, and the slider is also already visible for a long time while the spinner is busy (unless the spinner overlaps that, but then the player will have a very short time to react). I recommend mapping some sliders/circles like you did in the insane diff
01:04:387 (3) - Because of the chord change and the downbeat, this slider does not really fit . Why not make a pair of 3 circles, followed by the slider on the downbeat?
01:07:079 (1,2,3,1,2) - The music pairs the notes per 2 in this section so the sliders are in the wrong spot. I recommend you to use a rhythm like this instead. It's kinda hard to explain sometimes, but I hope you can hear what I mean. Btw you did it perfectly here 01:11:694 (1,2,1,2) -
01:17:464 (1) - Circle + 1/1 slider? That way you can emphasize the sound in the song you used the finish for. (and kinda the same reason as 01:07:079 (1,2,3,1,2) - )
01:22:079 (1,2) - And same situation here. A rhythm like This would fit a lot better

Good luck with the mapset!

Actually you would just have to halve the bpm and double the SV (doesn't seem like a lot of work). You won't hear the difference, but some things like the kiai effect or the osu! logo are affected by this. Anyway I was looking at it from a musical perspective, but you're right that it won't affect the map that much when playing
Good luck! (again)
