I was made to look at Oni so two things:

02:20:608 (5,6,7,8,9,10) - Remove 1/4 idk why these are here, they kinda kill the impact of 02:22:790 (21,22,23,24,25,26) - Yeah I think I was going a bit too much for momentum rather than listening to the music. Changed it to just k k k
02:24:222 - Add don cause ^ Added don!
and then 02:29:336 (63,64,65,66,67,68) - these could be made 1/2 for the same reason I removed the first one but I'd like to keep the second ddk since it carries some momentum into the next section and feels good to play in with the 1/2 notes

idk if you wanna kd this or not, just things I noticed. Not a real mod
A mod is a mod all the same, thank you kindly for looking over it

@Lno Proper spread is a stupid rule? If you cannot respect what is the most important rule in taiko sets then you do not deserve a qualified map. Oni is no longer a diff where you can satisfy your mapping cravings, it is now the end of the map's base spread.
Raiden
Oni was fixed, spread looks quite good now and patterns look consistent with enough breaks provided through all diffs.

So...

LET'S DANCE!!!!!!

No, the stupid rule is forcing something one mapper did on another. Whether it's Oni, Inner Oni or whatever a collab or guest diff should not be compared with the other diffs in the set for consistency imo which is why I think the rule is stupid. If the Oni was mapped by Grim but mapped inconsistently I agree completely with the rules. If you feel the need to correct me and have something relevant to say please pm in game to avoid cluttering Grim's thread any further.
OzzyOzrock
Ah, now I understand. Yeah, situations like these are the reason that the only collab diffs I see nowadays are Inner Onis haha. There it's not very important.

Hi.
[ General]
  1. Remove bookmarks.
[ Kantan]
  1. Don't have to set high HP since this song is long. maybe 5.0 is better?
  2. 02:37:517 (42,43) - Beginner players might be confusing by this scroll changes. I recommend to delete 02:36:972 (41) -, and move 0.80x green line to 02:37:517.
  3. 01:38:608 (4,5,6) - change to Ddd for making variety simple patterns. and (4,5,6) is lower pitch sound than (1,2,3).
  4. 03:27:699 (4,5,6) - ^
[ Futsuu]
  1. difficulty spread between Futsuu and Muzu is bit big of a relatively than K-F. consider to add about 50~100 notes for making some 1/2 patterns.
[ Muzukashii]
  1. 00:26:199 (40,41) - delete these notes for 2/1 break since Muzu needs 2/1 or 3/2 breaks. I think this part doesn't have it enough.
  2. 00:34:927 (79,80) - ^
You may call me back when you are done. :D

The only bookmarks I have are the ones on the collab and I'd like to keep them there to show where the mapper changes
[ Kantan]
  1. Don't have to set high HP since this song is long. maybe 5.0 is better? The reasoning was high bpm and a harder set but I'll side with you here, I like having the lower HP for the Kantan
  2. 02:37:517 (42,43) - Beginner players might be confusing by this scroll changes. I recommend to delete 02:36:972 (41) -, and move 0.80x green line to 02:37:517. I agree, I wish I could have kept the note in there but no matter how I tried to work it it looked odd. Changed it all!
  3. 01:38:608 (4,5,6) - change to Ddd for making variety simple patterns. and (4,5,6) is lower pitch sound than (1,2,3). I changed 01:36:427 (1,2,3) - to Ddd instead since I think that one sounds lower after a few tries of the Ddd on them both
  4. 03:27:699 (4,5,6) - ^ Changed 03:25:517 (1,2,3) - to Ddd instead on this one too!
[ Futsuu]
  1. difficulty spread between Futsuu and Muzu is bit big of a relatively than K-F. consider to add about 50~100 notes for making some 1/2 patterns.Added some more 1/2 patterns where they fit in with the other difficulties and changed a section so it matched another with the 1/2!
[ Muzukashii]
  1. 00:26:199 (40,41) - delete these notes for 2/1 break since Muzu needs 2/1 or 3/2 breaks. I think this part doesn't have it enough.
  2. 00:34:927 (79,80) - ^ Deleted the first two notes but only the second note on the second suggestion. I feel like 00:35:336 - is a really important beat to have mapped so I'd like to keep that one in there, but the break is still there!
You may call me back when you are done. :D

18:29 Raiden: plus still just a 1/1 pattern
18:29 Grimbow: Deal, it follows the vocals
18:29 Raiden: neat
18:30 Grimbow: Anything more?
18:30 Raiden: looking
18:31 Raiden: might wanna add 02:08:336 - a k in futsuu too
18:31 Raiden: its full 1/2 in muzu lol
18:32 Grimbow: yeah but it's just one note in kantan
18:32 Grimbow: I gotta compromise
18:32 Raiden: ;_;
18:32 Grimbow: don't wanna make more problems ><
18:32 Raiden: not really a problem
18:32 Raiden: kantan has 4/1 break with some 2/1 pattern
18:32 Raiden: futsuu has 2/1 break with 1/1 pattern
18:32 Raiden: and muzu has 1/1 break with 1/2 pattern
18:33 Grimbow: If you say so :o I'll add it
18:33 Grimbow: Added!
18:33 Raiden: it's just
18:33 Raiden: jumping from 2/1 in futsuu to full 1/2 in muzu lol
18:33 Grimbow: It's a trial by fire for noobs
18:33 Grimbow: '<'
18:33 Raiden: http://puu.sh/kE8nX.jpg muzu
18:33 Raiden: http://puu.sh/kE8ol.jpg futsuu
18:33 Raiden: see the difference? :P
18:34 Grimbow: Yeah :P
18:35 Raiden: aaaaaah
18:35 Raiden: 02:23:336 -
18:35 Raiden: futsuu
18:35 Raiden: up to
18:35 Raiden: 02:28:245 -
18:36 Raiden: compare density with muzu
18:36 Raiden: O_O
18:36 Raiden: i'd say add some more 1/1s in futsuu
18:37 Grimbow: I added three more
18:37 Raiden: :D
18:37 Grimbow: where they fit, at least
18:38 Raiden: yeah yeah
18:38 Raiden: really, up to you
18:38 Grimbow: I think anymore and it'll be too much in that section
18:38 Grimbow: since it is non-kiai
18:38 Raiden: 02:28:790 - 02:31:517 - in futsuu
18:38 Raiden: some more 1/1
18:38 Raiden: look at muzu
18:39 Grimbow: added a k at 02:30:427 -
18:39 Grimbow: but hmm
18:39 Grimbow: that's three triplets in a row
18:39 Grimbow: Ohhhh
18:39 Raiden: try to make them separate tho
18:40 Grimbow: moved it to 02:30:154
18:40 Grimbow: 02:30:154 -
18:40 Grimbow: and added a d
18:40 Grimbow: there
18:40 Raiden: 02:33:699 - 02:36:427 - same again
18:40 Grimbow: http://puu.sh/kE8Ky/2bc4819469.png ?
18:40 Raiden: its gonna have to be a re rebubble in the end? xD
18:40 Raiden: for example yes
18:41 Grimbow: This is pushing the difficulty way up
18:41 Grimbow: I don't want to add much more
18:41 Grimbow: the three kats there make sence with the music
18:41 Raiden: arrrrrrg
18:41 Raiden: its just
18:41 Grimbow: there's no notes I can add here without placing them in a strange place, so I'd like to keep that part as is
18:41 Raiden: the jump is too big futsuu <-> muzu
18:41 Raiden: regarding main snap
18:41 Raiden: oh well
18:42 Raiden: we all have to yolo once in our lives don't we
18:42 Grimbow: but if I change this then the gap between futsuu and kantan will be too big
18:42 Raiden: let's yolo
18:43 Raiden: 03:01:790 (15) - move to 03:01:245 - ?
18:43 Grimbow: http://puu.sh/kE8Tw/accd69982f.png
18:43 Grimbow: that's about as good as I can do there
18:43 Raiden: sure, no problem
18:43 Grimbow: Moved it!
18:43 Raiden: i just felt it was more consistent lol
18:44 Grimbow: Yeah, with the guitar
18:44 Raiden: okay i dont care about kiai
18:44 Raiden: by the way don't be discouraged if it gets disqualified
18:44 Grimbow: I think tasuke took care of that part
18:44 Grimbow: Or no
18:44 Raiden: lmao
18:44 Grimbow: Ah no, I understand
18:44 Raiden: update
18:45 Grimbow: I wouldn't be surprised at this point

I'm really concerned at the varying note density and pattern difficulty in Oni. I get it's a collab, but the difference between both mappers is quite considerable in some sections and hurts the map. I'll put a few examples, but in general, the kiai is where this is more noticeable.
01:36:427 - vs 01:45:154 - You have to agree music barely changes its intensity, yet we have a noticeable density/difficulty change.

03:29:881 - vs 03:47:336 - Here too.

Also, given Kantan, Futsuu and Muzukashii were mapped in a lower scale, the denser parts in Oni stretch the spread considerably, so I'll suggest to tone down a bit the difficulty there. Note that I'm not asking to do large changes, I believe this can be achieved without changing the mapping approach too heavily, just removing some of the notes with less impact in the music would be enough, as well as some small pattern adjustments.

This is an example for (01:36:427 - ), as you can see, there wasn't much of a change, just a pattern break (and a few removals) which keeps following the guitar rhythm and the characteristic beats for drums.

Also, in Oni:
02:11:063 (58,59,60,61,62) - I have mixed feelings about this. First, this would work better as ddd K, the 1/2 pause will help the big note to have a stronger emphasis. But that won't be working with 02:15:495 (63,64,65,66,67) - . Alternatively, I'd want to suggest to change them to normal notes as they're not really strong, up to you.

I hope we can reach an agreement soon and move the map forward. It's really good overall.

[notice]01:36:427 - vs 01:45:154 - You have to agree music barely changes its intensity, yet we have a noticeable density/difficulty change. Lno and I spoke for a bit and changed both of the kiai times a tad so that they are more consistent density-wise now with your suggestions in mind

Also, in Oni:
02:11:063 (58,59,60,61,62) - I have mixed feelings about this. First, this would work better as ddd K, the 1/2 pause will help the big note to have a stronger emphasis. I agree with it working better as ddd K so I made that change, the emphasis shows a lot better now!

But that won't be working with 02:15:495 (63,64,65,66,67) - . I listened to the parts at 02:11:063 (52,53,54,55) - and 02:15:495 (57,58,59,60) - a couple times over to see if there was a way to make them consistent but the drums here are played in two different ways so I think it's going to have to stay as is :c

Alternatively, I'd want to suggest to change them to normal notes as they're not really strong, up to you.. We talked it over a bit and think that the notes at 02:11:336 (55,56) - and 02:15:699 (60,61) - land on significant enough beats to warrant a finish so we'd like to keep them as K's

I hope we can reach an agreement soon and move the map forward. It's really good overall.
Thank you kindly for your mod and comments!
