i played alot of games on ps2. dont remember which was first, but the most memorable one was age of empires 2, so lets say that one was first. on pc it was world of warcraft wrath of the lich king
dont overthink it, im a strategy games player, and because of that, i analyze too much, however overanalyzing is how to play strategy games, and not how to play osu.
just enjoy it, play in a way that will make you want to play the game, DO NOT play the same map over and over again, just because you think you are getting better, or want fc and keep failing this one pattern, it will make you want to quit.
there is a reason failing same map over and over again gives you pain. its because its DUMB. do not ignore the pain, just because you hate yourself. its actually making you play worse. no pain no gain does not work in some cases, for example do you gain anything by cutting yourself with knife? no, you gain something by working out muscles, playing same map over and over again is same as cutting your wrists with a knife.
