These questions need to be answered. Especially the rank limit. There's already quite a range in the sign up list.CharmCaster wrote:
I have questions!
1) Any rank limits?
2) Which timezone? Like what's the GST?
3) Could you tell us when its gonna be held or what time? (If you haven't decided on it yet then I'm sorry)
4) Are the maps like REAL HARD? Mean like ya know, Insanes and diffs that are crazily hard?
Void, are you freaking kidding me?voidlessheart wrote:

Personally I'd feel that songs that are around 4 to 4.5 stars would make a good starting point. Because 4 stars are more or less the benchmark for anyone who's planning to join a tournament against others who are of much higher rank and skill level. So it kinda serves as a sort of qualifier for those interested in taking part in the tournament. Then as the tournament proceeds and teams eliminated, I'd suggest you scan through the list of participants remaining and gauge the suitable difficulty level. Of course the difficulty would increase as the tournament proceeds. Anyway it's not like this is the OWC or anything, we're just here for fun and to gain experience, lose or win doesn't really matter as long as everyone is happy.TheOnlyLeon wrote:
Hmm, we're approaching a full lineup of teams however after going through the teams, there are a few teams that are substantially under ranked compared to the average player. Since I'm basing the first round map difficulty one the average rank this really disrupts the way map picking is being done. Initially I had left ranks open because I expected a larger number of lower ranked players however brackets are getting alot of even sub 1k players signing up.
So I've been considering revising the line-up. However I'm hesitant to do so because it would mean adding a new rule half-way that screws over a few players that should be competing fairly. Any opinions on this? Anyone have any good ideas to deal with this?
IF it suits you I'd also appreciate feedback on what a good starting line is for map difficulty. The finals and semi finals will still be very challenging regardless of where we start but I'd like to know what people consider to be a fair starting point to go from.
I'd like to hear from as many of you as possible. Thanks for the feedback.

Let's have a FL category kappa :^)Jimbot wrote:
4-4.5 sounds like a good place to start. Not too sure about having 3 hidden categories though, it seems a bit much!
