Hello! M4M from my queue~
Basically, this map is not really ready for moving forward to the ranking process. Just try getting other people's opinions, and improve your skills on this. In the other hand, great song!
Best of luck, FCL!
[> General <]
- - You might want to change the silver combo color to not blend with the background for some time like this one(box below). Even though on game play while dimming, might blend a lot more. So I suggest lightening up, or maybe change the color:
- - Didn't find anything more in general, good job.
- 00:25:079 (2,3) - Shouldn't the slider's tail land on 1/4 tick instead of 1/6 BSD? It sounds quite late after the snare hits in the song track.
- 00:28:044 (3,4) - I never hear any 1/6 ticking around the song track over here. The rhythm itself might be considered overmap, so I bet you should just land their beat into 1/4 ticks, likely the same as above.
- - Just to not mention more of these for avoiding to make huge-and-repetitive mods, It's best you take care of it yourself. If you think this is not enough, try finding more opinions about this from other modders than just me.
- 00:49:498 (4,1,2) - I don't really know you, but did you randomly placed circle (1)? Because that circle breaks the spacing consistency of the ongoing pattern, It doesn't even look right to me. Try moving it somewhere like x:105|y:155 for a greater/balanced spacing.
- 00:52:637 (1,2,3) - This flows really quite straight and fully stacked, might feel a little boring if the player's cursor moves pretty linear all the time just because of this pattern. So, this part lacks interesting movements. How about unstacking them up, and curve one of the sliders for a smooth play of flow?
- 01:01:358 (2,3,4) - I might be wrong, but this manual stacking doesn't look great here. By improving it, how about a stack? or perhaps, a better pattern? Check the box below, but I'm only showing you what pattern might fit, so you could just give a try or sth.
- 01:06:068 (4,5,1) - Placements looked the same and stacked, but the approaching might be too sudden because of the spacing between (5) and (1). You could've just made (1) a little closer, or (5) should be.
- 01:08:073 (1) - Could you explain this spinner being set at a non-sparing part of the song track? It doesn't really fit imo. So I recommend deleting this spinner and add a few notes by following the song.
- 01:11:649 (5,6) - Flows pretty linear. Almost the same as before, but how about curving (6) at least?
- 01:14:614 (4,1) - I assume this flow is probably broken, as how it looks the current one below, in the box. I prefer curving slider (4) making a head-on to circle (1) to avoid breaking such flows and awkward play.
- 01:15:312 (2) - I prefer this slider should be replaced to circles; Because this one holds and the beats weren't like, ascending the snares or some bass, but it's your decision.
- 01:18:277 (2,3) - I don't really like one of these kinds of flow in sliders. Which basically the reversed slider gets hit by player's cursor at the starting point, next would holding over the reverse until the tail. But suddenly gets behind the slider's reverse arrow and heading back to slider (2)'s place, likely this flow doesn't really make sense. So I prefer a pattern sth like this, in the box. This is just a sample of mine, you could use another that's similar to this:
- 01:29:963 (2,1) - To me, this wasn't really a good-start-to-play on the kiai time because of the sudden streaming. So what I prefer here, two 1/4 sliders and one note. Which emphasize the note's and the song's rhythm would be in equal. So, a rhythm like this might fit cool, just a sample of it:
- - There are others too, but it's up to you. You can change some as the issue above, and you can keep some for five-circles streaming.
- 01:37:812 (6,7,8,9) - The flowing is almost similar as the previous notes on 01:18:277 (2,3) -. But I don't feel it needs curving, but it's the same thing. How about a reversed 1/4 slider? or sth perhaps?
- 01:38:771 (2) - I bet this circle doesn't feel right on this part of the track. The hi-hats does hit the track like "d ddD ddddddD", try hearing on 50% playback rate starting on 01:38:684 -, If you really want to know the evidence. So I guess you should delete circle (2) for sure.
- 01:41:126 (11,1) - These sliders are way too much in-between flow here. You might need to improve it by making similarities or symmetry for sure. This looks really odd, lud.
- 01:41:911 (4) - Likely the same as 01:38:771 (2) -
- 01:46:620 (6) - Not likely the same as before, there's two options for this circle to do. First option, move it to 01:46:969 - for much better emphasis with the hi-hats in the song track. And the second option, simply delete it for a stream delay.
- 01:50:283 (4) - Same as 01:38:771 (2) -, Well I'd stop mentioning these because of repetitive modding so... yeah.
- 02:02:056 (7,8,9) - What I'd like to say, the previous triplets you made introduced better movements for the cursor to move more gratifying. So I think this might face inconsistency, try unstacking these or make a manual stacking instead.
- 02:04:411 (7) - Well, I'm not sure if this is mistaken, but... A dominant beat on 02:04:543 - seems to be skipped off. So maybe reconsider this.
- - I don't think I could repeat the same issues again and again. Further on, you could find it yourself, right? So, I'm not just going to waste my time mentioning stuffs and explain it all over again.
- - Right here, I'd like to say your map is quite solid, the way you've putted in the rhythms looks really odd. So I'm really sorry if I was really picky on rhythm adjustments and overdoing circles. It's true that you've said it needs some work and still has room for improvements, just try to think about audience view and players on how the map plays well, and i'm pretty sure you'll get you best answers.
