[Archived] Skin Slider Circles Missing on Some Maps

Problem Details:
I'm using the Seysant II skin on OK ONE ROCK - Answer is Near and the circles on the sliders are missing.
I've seen this on a couple maps but this is the only one I can remember.
I'd expect this isn't just happening on this skin and guess that something is overriding this element in the skin despite having the Ignore Beatmap Skin option selected.

Try using a different skin, (although it is mentioned) see if it happens at the same parts of the song or on the same song itself.

This specific map causes issues certain with skins.

There are a few other (mostly older) maps that force their own skin propreties over everything else aswell, causing similar isues.

There's not much that can be done about it.

I wasn't able to replicate the issue with the standard skin. Didn't try any others.

As in that I can do about it or that the dev team can do about it?
I wasn't expecting I could do anything about it.

If we are able to replace the map skin this our global skin I don't understand why a particular element would be missing. Suspect it was just missed from a list of things to override. I haven't tried skinning myself so wouldn't know which element is the problem.

Will leave it with you

Either.

Well, the map itself is causing the issue. I can't say I've had a deep look at it, but from what I understand this happens because the map did some 'funky' insupported stuff with its skin. Meaning that the only way to solve this would be by changing the mapset itself. A 'hax-submit' is possible, though, but not something that's done very often.

Something like, it's exploiting a bug (/feature ;) ), which is breaking the skin overriding?

I take it you don't retroactively fix these things? Just nice to know.

I don't, no. I'm not a developer.

From the wiki:
The Support Team (also known as Support Team Redux, not to be confused with the account support team, colloquially known as the "Support Team") are members of the osu! staff whom are focused at forum moderation on several subforums: Development, Gameplay & Rankings (excluding Tournaments and Mapping Techniques), Skinning, Feature Requests, and Technical Support.
Edit; just did a quick browser search and found this thread: t/271215
There are more threads regarding this, all mentioning this specific map.
