I'm pretty sure the joke started with the vuvuzela's eating everyone's ears during the World Cup. I mean news stations are talking about it and people have developed audio filters that remove the sounds. But I'm not doubting Youtube staff has some /b/tards. Google themselves made some really, er, 4chan jokes a couple years back on April Fools.
