For some reason, I might not get a Max Combo, even when I FC the beatmap.

Sometimes you can miss a combo tick on a slider without actually breaking combo.
FC usually refers to not breaking combo once during a map. You can ignore missing 1-5 off of a perfect full combo.

You released a slider too soon. As long as you hit the head of a slider and follow the ball through all of the slider ticks you'll get at least 50 points for that slider, if you release the slider ball before you hit the tail then your combo doesn't go up for it.
If you hit the start and all ticks, then miss the end, you get a 100 not a 50.dististik wrote:
