Rules:
This tournament will be a 1v1, the only people allowed to participate are the ones that have been scheduled.
At the beginning of each match both participants will use the !roll feature to determine who picks first. Highest number wins.
Each participant will take turns in selecting a map from the map pool until a winner has been decided.
Each participant may only select one map from each specialty map pool (DT, HD, HR, Freemod).
Each participant may select as many maps from the Nomod map pool as they wish.
Once a map has been played, it may no longer be selected from either participant.
In the event of a tie on a particular map, that map will become void and no participant will be rewarded with a win.
In the event of both players failing, the player with the highest score wins the map.
A revived score is a counted score. If you have failed at the end of the map however, and your opponent is alive then you will have lost.
Matches will be a best of 7 until the semi-finals which will be a best of 9, the grand finals will be a best of 11.
Please be punctual, if you are not online 10 minutes after you match has been scheduled then you will automatically forfeit.
If you cannot make your allocated time please contact one of the event organizers at least 48 hours before your scheduled match.

In the event of something unforseen, the event will be handled at the discretion of the referee.

You will be invited to your match by your referee who will also request a warmup map from you. This map can be anything you wish to play.

---These rules will be updated if I have missed anything out---

Oh, and please don't be an a**hole.

I think by 25,000+, it means no one below (#1 -> 24,999) may enter.

This is correct, I'm hoping to get a wide variety of ranks too and so I can do some non traditional seeding to make the tournament fun for everyone :>
Tachibana Rika
so is that mean i can partcipate B^)?
Happyjon
I overlooked this when organizing my tournament, but the "fairest" way to seed a tournament (given a number of starting axioms) is to first place 1 and 2 seeds into separate brackets, then assign 3 and 4 seeds to their brackets randomly, then the same for seeds 5 to 8 and so on. I'll probably try this out if I ever decide to organize another tournament. Let me know if you want to know more about this.

Me the lonely Tasmanian will see us to victory :>
MeliodasTaizai
Does that mean a 380k can join ;3
vawlt
Ideally not, but sure.
MilkyTaste
Kiwi reporting in.

Will also be out of the country June 19-27, but I'm not excepting to pass the first match so shouldn't be a problem :3

Update: I have decided to set the 23rd of May as the cut off date. I believe this will grant me enough time to organize things.

I may also cut off entries if I believe a sufficient amount of participants have entered.

Just a shameless bump to let you all know that there is less than one week left to get yourself signed up!

Commentary isn't the problem, we can easily find commentators.
Contact Loctav and get the streaming client :>

Now that it's the 23rd, (and registrations are closed) do you think we'd be able to see things like the map pool, bracket etc.. to start practising before the 3rd...?

..and more info please<3(dont want to be stuck playing 3star maps IOW)

I'm hoping to get the bracket done by tomorrow, also the times you'll be playing.
I'm also going to write up the rules and release them tomorrow too.

Map pool will be released next weekend.

OP has been updated, please read carefully.

Having the seedings be arranged by ranks, isn't that kind of bad?
As the Finals will be Victor Higher ranks vs Victor Lower ranks and the only match in the tournament with the higher ranks vs lower ranks.
Maybe IMHO the seeds should be more randomized
(sorry for my bad explanation but is it understandable?)

I understand your concern but this way the matches will be "fairer" until the grand final, it's makes for better games to start with.
Bentobito
True... I understand where you are coming at but the finals should be the most intense and have the hardest maps (if we assume maps scale in difficulty) with the two strongest competitors.
Thus, for example you have [30k vs 40k] and [90k vs 100k] on an insane song with the former able to keep combos on it whilst the latter barely surviving, the finals would be a harder map with the victor of the higher bracket barely passing and the victor of the lower bracket hardly hitting notes, in which the finals would be a 1 way stomp.
I feel that if the beatmaps get harder over the tournament (in which i believe they should), by the finals the map difficulty would be too high for equal competition.
As such I believe it should be better to have randomized brackets earlier and in easier songs (in which we lower ranked players play more in) there will be a greater chance for victory as compared to the finals where the difficulty is played more by the higher rank.

TLDR: It'll be easier for lower ranks to win in easier songs that they usually play than harder songs the higher ranks play in a scaling competition. Also, 2 high ranks playing round 1 is going to be 2 x SS, gonna be a spinfest... that wouldn't be fun
