About this beatmap
Everything is made by me alone and all works(Hitsounding) is manual without program.

Beginner    : Never play 4/5/6/7/8/9 K? This is your perfect starting point.
Easy          : Basic how to LN and reading a note on when to time and hit it.
Normal       : Introduction of grace note and get used to how to trill.
Hard          : Perfect diff for learning burst , trill, and chord control and get used to LN.
Insane       : A full density pattern consist of everything that you've seen on all previous diff + how to inverse LN.

Time that i spent to make this beatmap :
First, 1h creating the hitsound file & manage them into 1 folder, 3h finishing Hitsound Chart then start the real mapping.
Beginner    : This whole diff take 6hours to make. Press 'Tab' inside the editor and you will see why.
Easy          : The planning for this one take a bit long, around 3hours and fast enough for other key.
Normal       : 2hours for planning what to map,1 hours to finish all key, probably the fastest to manage
Hard          : 3hours for managing all hitsound and pattern and 3more hours for all other key.
Insane       : 2hours for 7K Insane and 5hours for all other keys.

This beatmap take a superb effort...Total time :
30% hitsound, 20% testing, 40% map, 10% final checking every diff.
Hitsounding vs Keysounding
Hitsound :
A special effect/sound represent specific kind of sound you want to emphasize "when" a note is hit. For example a loud clap/snare/kick/beat/drum/cymbal sound as hitsound so the player know that it is actually custom sound, not from the song itself, Like using on beat will really helps give player extra sound to follow on the rhythm to keep up with 300 acc.


Keysound :
The every bit of the song's sample, represent all sound from the music itself that sounds perfectly sync with the song. The differences between Hitsound and Keysound is when both note is pressed at perfect 300 acc... in Keysound, player won't notice anything, just a perfect sound like the song. While Hitsound should give a different custom feedback sound that can be distinguish from the song itself.


==Short long story==
Q: Which is better?
A: It's really depend on each person preferences...
     Hitsound give a different feeling of the song while it gives extra custom sound that if used properly,
     it will sounds very nice!!
     Keysound is more artistic, more work, while it does blend with the song,
     not perfect hitting this note will show the player that it sounds off sync.

Q: So what's the method used on this beatmap?
A: I actually plan to perfect hitsound this, but it turns out to be a complete
     hitsound that sounds/blends with the song and became full Keysound.
     BUT nevertheless, this beatmap could works as Hitsound and Keysound depends on your volume setting, simple.
     While having both feeling, this style really take too much time and not really recommended XD.

Q: What should i use for my beatmap??
A: 95% of the time you will be using Hitsound method, Keysound only if you can afford to
     create whole/most of the sound exactly for the song 'or' in most BMS map, they already have each sample sound to be used,
     but managing keysound is not as easy as you think.
     You need to watch the consistency for all difficulty which require a really detail check and try not do any mistake on it.
     Meanwhile hitsound only require a noticeable sounds for the main rhythm.

Download and extract this *.osz for additional diff that contains hitsound chart.
Make sure you've already download this beatmap before extracting the additional *.osz file above.

It contains all of my hitsound chart and help me organize all diff with perfect consistency hitsound.
(Note that it was made at 2015, might have a slight differences with the current version)

You will never know the struggle of creating this map, like when you have to edit keysound on specific section, and you must apply all of it 30 times 'Consistently' without mistake and manually. I can't even tell you how many times i've listened to this song.

For the second problem, it's probably osu can't handle too short waves. Sometimes it plays well, sometimes it doesn't.

Some of your short keysounds seems a little short(of reverb). Which DAW are you using? I suggest just use mid2bms to output the keysounds(so you don't need to output them one by one, mid2bms will handle different vel(or volume in osu) and note length in DAW) for you. Then you rearrange the keysound notes, import the bms into osu.

i found that my E5H_s.wav piano hitsound SOUNDS a bit weird than normal E5 XD
can u make a replacement or do something bout it?
i can clearly heard that its quite annoying here since 01:33:642 - the pitch of E5H_s
somehow sounds weird XD

last problem is... "happens only when without mp3, just keysound"
00:06:857 - the 3 grace note here, A5H > C#6H > A6H , somehow make some FAST and short broken sound on my headphone when 3 of them plays, not noticeable with the song playing thou....
this sometimes happens, to all of other grace note as well.

and lastly XD errrr...... bms? daw? i dont use any other software to hitsound, i jst use flstudio to make my hitsound one by one and then
i MANUALLY hitsound the note one by one in mania chart XD hehe

but i can make my own midi thou, so umm is there going to be easier way to hitsound using the method u say?? O_O

Unfortunately if you are using flstudio then you are not able to use mid2bms. FL is one of the daw(Digital Audio Workingstation).
You don't need to output your hitsound one by one and then add them one by one using mid2bms. All keysounds in your midi will be converted into notes in bms, including different note length and note volume with same pitch, and it will be placed in right time. You just need to adjust the column position in bms editor.

    When I made my Gakuen Seikatsu Bu - Friend Shitai 9K map, I received feedback from mania players new to 9K to lower the difficulty settings for 9K Easy. There are plenty of mania players who crave to play 9K but can't really find quality 9K maps to begin practicing on. I would argue that 9K is pretty confusing even to veteran 7K and 8K players, thus the entry level maps for 9K should be made more tolerant to mistakes for new 9K players. The difficulty of higher maps from Normal - Insane doesn't necessarily need to be reduced though because they're for 9K intermediate players anyway. Therefore, I would like to have the difficulty settings set progressively harder as follows:

aaaa... here is the change....sry i cant reply your fancy post XD so i will list down the change for easier to be read :

  1. rescale OD ^^b (but i keep the HP, on the 2nd thought, this will do)
  2. fix unnecessary LN on beginner, change some 4k pattern
  3. as for normal, i didnt change the LN for grace piano into short LN, i try, its just a bit hard to get perfect 300 for new player.
    but yeah... its true... skipping so many note(B and G#) for the triple A(la) as anchor is easier to play but harder to read and play...
    i will change whole diff's for this one ^^b tq
  4. nothing much change for Normal, only some position, but i will reconsider removing the grace ;w;
  5. no change on hard & Insane XD hehe
  6. reupdate all Insane's LN into a better pattern....

(btw i gave up on scaling Beginner and Easy' s Star rating XD, unlike Normal-Insane, where i scale from 4k-9k)

Total File Size : around 29MB

-11.2MB (Storyboard material, and the osb itself)
-12.5MB (All hitsound and sample)
-1.5MB (All *.osu difficulty)
-4.1MB (The mp3 itself and the BG)

Just a little help from me, hope this can help you to improve this map.

  1. "BG2.jpg" looks squashed on height imo, and the size itself is a bit low (1280 x 720), though it's not unrankable. Could be better if you use this http://puu.sh/shOz6/3c86a00b00.jpg (1366 x 768) or if want to cut it by yourself http://puu.sh/shOCP/24e92b54be.jpg (2400 x 1492). Btw, 1920 x 1200 is rankable now.
  2. Also, http://puu.sh/shOFI/1dcc58bebc.jpg and http://puu.sh/shOHu/158e73ca75.jpg , "Thumbs" (.db) files seems useless, already tried to delete them and the SB still works properly.

Okay, I read the description and know your intentions, but we need to touch on the subject of keysounding.

The reason why hitsounding is a must for ranked maps is because most (silent majority) players need audio feedback on hitting the notes. That is they need to hear when they hit correctly and when they're not. I personally don't really care, but I tend to do better on SV heavy maps or just on acc with hitsounds clearly audible.
Keysounding does that job great, because you hear distortions in the song if you hit notes incorrectly, you can clearly make out that you've missed or even what note exactly have you missed.

HOWEVER.
There is a certain element of keysounding and osu!mania ranking criteria in regards to it that people confuse a lot. That is:

If you make keysounds for the exact sounds happening in the mp3 without cutting it out of the mp3, you are making a 100% blended in hitsound which is not audible enough and as a result it's not viable.

If you're making a keysounded chart, you should:
a) fully keysound it, put a blank mp3 and if you want, put a link do the version (or just the mp3) with matching offset and mp3 for players who don't play with keysounds
b) cut out parts of the song which you keysounded
c) not fully keysound it, but make the sounds stand out ever so slightly so that you can actually distinguish them.

I've played this chart now after not playing for a bit:


and on all of those misses the only thing that made me notice that I was missing was and combobreak.wav

Do not use the argument of "others did it so why I can't do it" as well. The fact that this was allowed and ignored in most cases is not something I had any control over, but this needs to stop, hitsounding went to shit altogether on a vast majority of ranked maps from last year or so.
Not saying that that's the case here, but stating my point.

I wanna see this set ranked, hell, I can go through it and check it for bubble, but first you gotta do something about the keysounding+mp3.
