So I've been avoiding playing with mods and I wanna stick to that untill I eventually have no other choice, so anyone has experience with playing nomod only? Is there a wall I will hit (in terms of pp gain) or could I theoretically get a decently high amount of pp? I just see almost everyone at my rank or even lower having dt/hd plays hr/hd, highest I could get so far was 117pp without mods (that map was fairly easy tbh but meh), still kinda stuck at the 4-4,5star maps in terms of full comboing. But I am playing everything from 3-5 star range atm.

For what it's worth, I went up to #800 in ppv1 nomod only.
And then ppv2 happened and I spammed DT everywhere.
But I think you could go pretty far nomod only, mostly a matter of how hard you work on it

It's safe to say you could at least make 6k PP (Well above top 1k as of now) with exclusively nomod scores using currently existing maps, that number will only increase as harder stuff like everything will freeze gets ranked, and as higher OD is becoming more common.

There are plenty of nomod maps worth 200+PP, so you can get very far with nomod given enough time and effort.

Well thanks for the replys, I was not aiming for something ridicolous like 1k (at least that's very unlikely for now) but 10k is kind of what I am trying to get at least. Okay guess I can just stick to this then. Not rly farming pp either, I just play the game and try to beat higher ranked maps. Have gotten a lot better when I watch some replays from 2 months ago it makes me giggle.

I'll say you can get REALLY far with no mod.
About 1000 ranks under me is when I got koigokoro + daidai genome, and that's about rank 6700. With my shitty acc I don't have lots of extra pp so you could probably get to 4k+ pp with nomod only.

cptnXn made top 100 with mostly nomod peepees. Them dragonforce maps tho.
Come to think of it, you probably can get anywhere you want nomod only since maps like World's End exists eh I swear I'll stop with this, someday

You could make it all the way to the top its just going to take a hell of alot of songs
