Really wondered that there is no thread about this yet. I actually want to know who of you play/played DJMAX Portable 1,2,CE,BS or Fever and what you think about it. What are your favourite songs, what button mode you play with and which modes do you use?

Well one of my favourite songs is OUTLAW i think it's from P2, but i'm unsure. I "own" 1,2,Black Square and currently "getting" Clazziquai Edition and Fever 8-). Oh yeah, i play 4 Buttons only but with 3x - 3,5x speed and nearly all Levels. I'm trying 5/6 Buttons atm but it's really hard for me...

I wonder if this should just be a general DJMAX thread, since I'm getting tired of seeing separate threads for the same series. Even if Technika and standard DJMAX are incredibly different, I feel like talk of the greater series should be relegated to a single thread.

Ok, i changed the title to DJMAX only. But i never played the DJMAX games for the pc nor the arcade games...
Is the pc version free? ^^

Thanks for making this thread. Maybe there once was thread about djmax but it's dead now, dunno
And pc version of dj max isn't free, DJM Trilogy costs around 50 bucks, i bought mine from play-asia for 49,90 $.
I like playing with keys more than with psp buttons, but i prefer dj max portable 2 songs more than TR's.
It has some songs from p2 too but lot of good ones aren't in TR.
Also Recently, DJM trilogy got its patch with 5 new songs (there's thread about it) after being 1 year dead.
Hopefully we are getting similar updates more often :)
So yes, get it. It's worth apart from some songs you won't like.

Also, atm i hate play-asia. Why it can't ship Black Square/Clazziquai edition (or any psp game) to europe dammit.

Well, i think the songs that are avaible in Black Square are the best, but i don't know what songs are in TR CE or Fever.
Looking forward to DJMAX P3 :!:

Oh yeah, is the TR version korean only or is there a english version? Thanks in advance.

Trilogy has English, Korean and Japanese language packs with it. Although apparently Network play is most stable with korean for some strange reason.

Hot Tunes just came out. It's good because it took auto assist out. It's nearly the same as Fever, but without Auto-assist it's a much better game.

Hot Tunes is just for the japanese.

even though it came out in Korea too.

Hot tunes was ment for new players that never heard of DJMAX in Japan so they took out Auto-Assist because they though japan was gonna beast the game in 2 seconds :P

But Portable 3 is coming out and its gonna beast
Hopefully it has Network mode like Fever did with Ad-Hoc so i can play on X-LINK-KAI you can play any psp game online as long as it has Ad-Hoc feature and i play DJ Max psp btw i played All

Fav one was Fever and BS.
(Soon to be P3)

But since i got my copy Illgally(HACKED PSP)
the buttons are WAY off and causes the game to crash after 2-3 songs.

so ill just wait for P3

There are some pretty new mechanics going on here. Not sure what to think. Making it seem a lot more like a "DJ" game where you can actually mix music and crap and less like a shameless Bemani clone.

DJMax Portable 3 out tomorrow~

Got it already. Not a fan of the default skin/gear stuff. It's ugly and unsatisfying. The interface seems kind of slow and clunky, probably because they're trying to do so much on it now. The video quality is amazing for what it is, some videos appear almost are fully animated and the song select menu shows video previews for the song.
Everything had a complete overhaul seemingly so it may be difficult to navigate at first. Haven't tried the new DJ mode or anything yet because I just got it, probably gonna' post more thoughts on it tomorrow.

They remade everything including the interface, far different from BS and Clazziquai. Its more smooth and its 'cool'-ness still stays like BS and CQ.

3.2/4.2/6.2T requires tons of memorization + reflexes (on using analogue stick) though =(

Cant even sightread SS charts. :(

about songs, they pretty much changed/replaced/remixed all songs but two, Whiteblue and Keys to the World. If you played Technika 2 you get to play some songs from there too. La Campanella, Xlasher, etc...
