I'm working on developing a game with Unity Engine, and I think it's totally possible to develop the mobile version with Unity, or some other game engine like Cocos2D, so that this game can be played on both android and ios, with large amount of maps support. Now the official OSU doesn't have the mobile version with rank.

what do you think?

I'm not very experienced with programming, but I don't believe that osu! would work well with unity.

Why? Many good games are made with Unity, both for mobile and pc, even game console. I also played several games made with Unity, and they are great.

Did some research:

http://www.reddit.com/r/gamedev/comment ... the_music/ (it's not about Unity, it's a theory about music sync)

I'm not gonna do this right now, but if I can spare some time, maybe, just maybe I'll try it.

If you're interested in working on an existing mobile port for osu!, it'd be massively helpful if you could contribute to fluddokt's libGDX port of opsu!: https://github.com/fluddokt/opsu

opsu! on libGDX is already considered heavy (can't get my phone run longer than 3 hours no matter what you do and 200 MB RAM usage)
from my experience with Unity, this may get worse...
