Hey,
Improving regularly I found myself stuck in this question : is it still possible to find slow maps still "hard" ? (like 4~6+ stars)
The search engine doesn't provide the BPM option. When I mean slow I mean <140~160 bpm, but 80~130 is better.
Looking at how the mapping style is going it looks like fast maps with high AR are more fashionable but I really feel speed and such are not the only way to increase the difficulty of a map.
About "why", the reasons are multiple, but it's mostly about enjoyment. I just personally find really more fun slow maps even if it's mean they have very tricky patterns, overlapping notes and strange things other than speed to keep them hard. I'm just used to play piano songs which rarely exceed 160 bpm.
I made this topic because I can't find anymore slow maps matching my level, and I'm at only 44k so I'm afraid finding maps like this is going to be even more impossible by the futur.
