Oh, it is. I should have actually read the OP instead of looking at your bold bbcode spam. LOL

Seems to have been reverted on the second update. May I ask why?
As far as I could tell the fix was working fine. (Only allowed expansion if an image was clicked.)

Edit: I guess this is why.

What shitty browser?

First fix made it work on Firefox. Second fix broke it on Firefox. Works fine on Chrome though.

Edit:
Out of Chrome, Firefox & IE, it only seems to work correctly on Chrome.

It's going to be nigh-impossible to make this work correctly across browsers, I believe.

Time to get more RAM to make Chrome a viable all-use browser for me then.

On a more serious note, is that while keeping images able to expand?
Because if so, here is my (probably retarded) 2 cents; Don't allow images to expand anymore (if it means a cross-browser fix, that is).
Chrome & Firefox (and IE aswell, though it's not as smooth) allow you to simply drag & drop the image in a new tab for a full view.
So I don't really see it as being that important.

I tried to take a deeper look into this again, after that one year old thread. Trying to make it cross-browser is just... ugh, it's a real pain in the ass.
As it is now, it works perfectly fine on Chrome/Opera (I use Opera 28 and Chrome 42~ )

But, the word-break: break-word does not work for IE/Firefox.
There is an ugly workaround, but it requires setting the width of this post body (which was 694px and I believe the width can be fixed, since the posts are the same size).

For Firefox and IE, there is a word-wrap: break-word selector instead (word-break selector only works Chrome/Opera, for me at least).
Setting the width to 694px and word-wrap: break-word fixes this problem BUT it obviously won't expand the post body if you add a big expandable image. It only expands the image, and the post body stays the same width.

The only funny thing is, this damn IE7 causes so much problems, that fixing it to show the same behavior as IE 8/9 + and FF was:
  • width:694px;
    word-wrap: break-word
    overflow:hidden;
    position:relative; // this, because the expanded image was hidden
Honestly, I don't think it should be fixed. It is so rare to encounter a long-ass text spam on forum, unless some people make spam threads/posts.
To spend less time on trying to find a workaround, I can only suggest filtering the posts by adding an empty char every 40th/50th character.
If I had such problem, I could just leave a fixed post width, without expandable bodies.
