Summoned from the team queue - although I'm not sure how much help I'll be considering my inability to adequately testplay most of this xD I love the song, so I'll give it my all and hopefully some of these points will be helpful to you :3

General Comments:
  1. Consider adding some more tags to help search the mapset. You can pick any you think are worth including from Touhou, Ten Desires, TH13, Rigid Paradise, Yoshika Miyako, Metal, Instrumental... (:
  2. Im not sure on this one, but should Touhou be used as a Source if it's not an original work (as is the case here)? I see in some other Demetori songs (for example) it is cited e.g. here, whereas in others it's not, e.g. here - can someone confirm what the rule is here?
  3. Combo colours (2) and (4) were quite hard to distinguish for me - maybe increase the contrast between them a bit (but so much that either is too similar to (1).
  4. Letterbox during breaks can be disabled, since this map doesn't have a storyboard (unless you are planning to make one?) If you do uncheck this, you can delete the .osb file in the song folder as well.
  5. You have two images in the song folder (you should only have one), both of which are 1273x712 - this is unrankable. BG images should be 1024x768 for standard 4:3, or preferably, 1366x768 for widescreen 16:9 resolutions, so you'll need to resize of find a new bg image. I would stick with the current JPG (the PNG is far too bright IMO).
  6. You have a custom normal-hitclap hitsound in the song folder, but I can't see anywhere you use it in the song (might have just missed it though, sorry if I did). Also, you use custom soft and drum samplesets, but don't actually have any custom hitsounds. I take it this is something you're still working on?
  7. 80% volume throughout the song isn't great in my opinion, you lose a lot of the emphasis in he kiai (where volume should be higher) and are slightly overbearing in the few calmer sections such as 02:09:635 to 02:10:269 and 03:52:737 to 03:58:430. I'd use 90% for the former and something like 50-65% for the latter? Try some different options and see what works for you.

01:11:442 (1,2,3) - There's a cool triplet pattern on the drums here that you could map, but it involves 1/6 and may be too hard to read going into the 1/4 stream even though this is supposed to be an "Extra" diff. Here's what I'm talking about: (play it at 25% speed to see what I'm talking about if you can't make out the pattern)


01:13:340 (7) - There's a doublet of doublets here (1,2 then another 1,2) 1/2 further forward, so move this note to 01:13:521 for the first and then remove 01:13:611 (1) to make the second
01:15:057 (8) - ^ Same here, move this note back 1/4
01:19:394 (3,4,5) - ^ This time move (3) forward 1/4 and remove (5) since there isn't a strong beat here

02:36:834 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7) - I think making these into a pattern would look really good since they're all on their own (so no distractions from past/future notes) and since they're in between two short breaks they could use some emphasis. Perhaps a heptagon or 7-sided star?
05:13:701 (1,2,3,4,5) - ^ Try a pentagon or 5-sided star this time
05:16:593 (1,2,3,4,5) - ^

03:54:725 - (2) - Try moving this to down to create a nice blanket with (1)
04:19:304 - (3) - ^ Move this one up a little to blanket with (1)
02:34:665 - If you drag your breaks out to the next white tick (or sometimes red tick depending on the BPM and song), it flows nicer during play in my opinion, so you could do this for each of your breaks if you feel it does anything for you. Something like this (just an example, not specific to this particular map but you get the idea hopefully
02:44:243 - I really wish I could help here but this long stream section is way out of my league. It looks pretty though (:
05:19:484 - Welp! More streams of doom! xD Again, nothing I could really comment on here, sorry ):
05:24:545 onwards - What's the purpose of all the red timing points at the end of the song here? You don't have a variable BPM or time signature here, and you even have the same volume and hitsound sampleset... Are they to correct offset changes? o_O


Wow, this was lots of fun! Your map looks really clean in general, so most of these are just some suggestions on patterns I'd like to see. Since it was a long mod, I apologize if I wasn't consistent all the way through, but hopefully there's some stuff in here you can make use of. If anything I've said doesn't make sense or you want to talk about in more detail, don't hesitate to drop back by the team queue or throw a PM my way ingame.

00:08:390 (1,2,3,4) - 3 should be more in the middle of 2 and 4, because it's too close to 4. Try disabling grid-snap to correct it.
00:26:172 (7) - Why is this circle so close to the slider before it? I think it should be spaced normally, like you did 00:25:540 (4,5) - here.
00:30:781 (4,5,6) - I think a triplet here is too much. Try making it a reverse slider to match 3.
00:31:323 (1) - The slider looks uneven because the first two ticks are on the same y axis, but the second two are slanted. I think that it should be like this or this or copy/paste and rotate 00:31:684 (2) - this if you want to.
00:33:311 (4,5,6) - Move this a bit to the left to make the star look better.
00:43:973 (1) - This shape is usually made with the points like ϟ <- that. Try this.
01:09:274 (5,6) - Blanket. You're going to have to make 5 more curved.

• 00:29:154(1) - Meh, small aesthetic question here: why did you break the combo? It could be okay with a single one, I guess
• 00:31:323(1,2) - Consider adding a note between the two sliders (in the blue tick). Maybe halfway in a straight line between the slider end on 1 and the slider beginning on 2?
• 00:31:323(2,3) - ^ Same suggestion, consider adding note in similar fashion
• 00:34:214(2,7) - I feel like these notes shouldn't be here. Try deleting them and see if the map feels less cramped to you
• 00:34:214(5,6) - There's a notable hit between these notes. Maybe make 5 a double instead?
• 00:35:299(2,7) - Consider removing these notes too. Same as 00:34:214(2,7)
• 00:35:299(5,6) - Consider adding note between these two. Same as 00:34:214(5,6)

• 00:58:792(1,2) - The guitar repeats the note that plays on both notes once between them (on the blue tick). Consider adding a note here too

• 01:21:924(7,8,9) - Revisit this triple. I recommend adding a slider instead, as there are no drums and the guitar note is long

• 01:42:888(6,7,8) - Strongly suggest adding note after 8 on blue tick

After getting a first impression of the map, I have two points to make:
1. Your streams are not always very pretty. Those will probably take some work and reconsideration before this gets approved.
2. A partial cause of the first problem, turn off Grid Snap especially for those streams. Grid Snap makes it very hard to make nice-looking streams, and overall just inhibits you.

That said, there's very little wrong about the map in terms of playability, and it's still fun.


With the timing, I came to an offset of 882 for the first timing point, and subsequently everything else follows with a change of -8ms.


00:01:401 (1,1) - I think it'd be nice to not begin with two spinners, especially seeing as these are mappable, normally.
00:15:058 (2) - The overlap with 00:14:335 (6) - is a bit ugly.
00:19:576 (8,1) - Maybe make this a triple too, for consistency?
00:29:154 (9,10,11) - The sharp angle here in this otherwise curvy stream doesn't look good.
00:34:214 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8) - I don't think you're mapping very well to the music here. The music gets more intense (without so many 1/4ths), and the map doesn't accommodate that.
00:45:772 (1,2,3,4,5,1,2,3,4,5,1,2,3,4,5,1,2,3,4,5) - These streams look wonky.
01:11:434 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12) - Would look better if it was more evenly round (like the letter C)
01:16:495 (4) - Try moving it a bit to the right, I think that'd look nicer.
02:14:416 (1,2,3,4,5) - This should be spaced a bit further away from the last stream.
03:04:838 (1,2,3) - ^
03:11:524 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,1,2,3,4) - I really don't like how the spacing goes here, it feels very out-of-place, other than it raising at the part where the music raises too. Before that is a big no from me.

05:19:476 (1) - (until end) I like the increase in difficulty here, it definitely fits, but it seems like it makes a jump down in difficulty at about 05:38:632 (1) - without getting back to the same intensity (while the song gets more and more intense.

Fun map! As I said in the mod, you're going to have to do some work on the streams (more than mentioned specifically) before this'll get approved, but those are far from unfixable, and once you've fixed that up, the map will look a lot nicer. Good luck getting it approved!

Thanks for the mod! <3 Tidied up my map now, hopefully looks better, even lost 0.02 stars owo but some of the streams im keeping.
