Because this red tick is enough audible, and that sounds better if it is followed by the sliderend. As i said, this is an extra diff, and the note density could be at its maximum, that means you can map all notes you can hear. The current 3/4 slider works well, but it sounds better if you use the pattern i suggested to you instead.

  5. 01:18:458 - How about adding a note here, to represent the end of vocal been stated multiple times i leave this unmapped for the effect with the instrumentals and the break
  6. 01:39:002 (11,12) - May consider changing this into streams, since the pitch is start decreasing from 01:39:002, it is not really suitable to use 1/4 sliders when it represent a stronger beat then normal streams this is intended to set this apart from the stream before, since the drum enters here again
  7. 02:16:991 (1) - Same as 00:58:730 (1)
  8. 02:19:763 (1,2,1,2) - Same as 01:01:502 (1,2,1,2), the music is not that strong which is suitable to use 1/4 slider to represent same answer
  9. 03:11:447 (5,6) - 03:11:284 (4,5) is in upward movement, so i would suggest to keep this flow by placing 03:11:611 (6) higher than 03:11:447 (5) doesn't really change much in the actual flow but w/e
  10. 03:27:589 (1,2,1,2) - Same reason as mentioned above ~
  11. 03:41:937 (1,2) - The jump here is too large compared to those in other chorus like 01:15:850 (1), music isn't strong enough to use such a large jump and moreover, it will become difficult for players to hit the following streams 03:42:100 (2,3,4,5,6,7,1,2,3,4,5,6,7) accurately, so consider to reduce the distance
  12. 04:09:328 (1,2,3,1) - There is a back and forth movement in 04:09:328 (1,2,3), so it is better when 04:09:817 (1) is placed near 04:09:980 (2) to keep this flow instead of making sharp movement to bottom doesn't make any difference at all because of how people play constant jump sections like this. as long as angles are sharp they will still be easy to hit
I am not going to comment a lot about usage of the 1/4 sliders in captin's Extra, but I would like to see more mods in order to get more opinions from different players/modders to see if it is appropriate, so that we can push it forward

hmm yea there's a little tick there but imo it's too quiet for me to map, also the way the extended slider is set up it emphasizes the next note more so im gunna keep it like thaat

Hello!

Unfortunately, the Quality Assurance Team has decided to disqualify this beatmap. The following is a list of reasons and examples for the disqualification. We do not outline every issue in detail, so make sure to take the idea behind each reason and apply it to the entire beatmap as issues might be found in more than the spots mentioned below. Lack of a concept regarding spacing and rhythm

  • The issues mentioned by Loctav have not been addressed - since it was an unsucessfully contested DQ, everything posted there must be fixed before it can proceed towards ranked status.
    The difficulty still seems artificial and lacks a concept in many aspects; There are jumps between essentially all of the objects, so there is no basic spacing the map goes back to. Emphasis for really strong beats through jumps is completely lost, as there are also jumps before weaker beats.
    The rhythm is very dense and consists of a lot of overmapped triplets and extended sliders. Similar to the jumps, those take away the emphasis of triplets and streams that really fit the music and those feel like they were artificially inserted.
    Examples for the above issue:
  1. 00:21:067 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,1,2,3,4,5,1,2,3,4,5,6,7) - There are jumps between every pair of objects, even though this is not even the most intense section
  2. 00:52:371 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8) - All the triplets and extended sliders make the rhythm much more dense than it should be. Most of them are overmapped.
  3. 03:08:024 (1,2,3,4,5,1,2,3,4,5,6,1,2,3,4,5,6,1,2,3,4,5,6) - This section is a build-up too the chorus with strong emphasis on the white ticks, yet there are jumps between every objects

If you happen to have concerns about this disqualification, you can contest the decision with this form. Before using this form, please read the instructions carefully.

The Beatmap Nominators may handle this mapset after the issues have been addressed.

the jumps at 00:21:067 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,1,2,3,4,5,1,2,3,4,5,6,7) - are at best medium jumps, they aren't even that large compared to the rest of the map.. whats wrong with the jumps here? i think it accents the downbeats fine. (from player perspective)
