according to shoegazer, the difficulty gap between 8 and 9 is really small, so if you've nailed 8, hit 9 while you're still warmed up or something (worked for me lol). Just gotta get past the first song

John Tanaka is mainly reading; you can manipulate a good amount of patterns in them to conserve stamina and get a good score the whole way through. Try it.

Hey, if there's anyone here who's familiar with FFR's Division system, could you give me a rough estimate of how Divisions compare to dans? 10-Tachyion is clearly D7, and I'm guessing Dan 1 and 2 are around D3, but I'm not sure about the rest of them. Not that i'll be clearing anything beyond Dan 2 anytime soon because I'm a shit-tier player (used to be D2/borderline D3), but it would be awesome to comparatively know where I'd stand with each Dan.
Also, just gonna point it out. Some of the links to songs in lower dans are dead because the maps were removed. Most of them are ryu songs obviously.

10th dan is borderline D7, Luminal is mid D7, Tachyon is high D7. 8th and 9th Dan are about equal because I'm retarded, they're about mid-high D6. 7th Dan is low-mid D6. 4th to 6th dan encompass all of D5.
