So since recently I didn't even know what snapping means, neither how to do it.
But after some research and finding out what it is i tried doing it, but I just didn't know if I'd do it or not.

So my 2 questions are.

Do I snap? (Map)
And if not how do i learn it?

Yeah, you snap, and are actually pretty good at it

If you didn't, you'd see the cursor moving in a circular shape, for example, instead of snapping to the notes in a square (just like you did). You might want to work a little bit more on the sliders though

Here's an idea, instead on focusing on trying to snap, play in the most comfortable way possible without enforcing bad habits.

Snapping isn't a bad habit though. Snapping gives advantage on certain pattern, so if he wants to learn it, why not?

So you are saying im not snapping?

That's the exact opposite of what I said, and the two of them haven't mentioned anything about you not snapping. Cloud says you want to learn it, but it doesn't mean you don't know it already

I wasn't talking about your post xD

I know, but the "if he wants to learn it" sounds like saying he isn't doing it.

And sorry for my broken english btw :D

Your English is actually pretty good, don't apologise for it.

But yeah, you miss a couple notes here and there but you do snap. Keep at it :)

I'm too retarded to snap.

I'm too retarded to snap.
And I'm too retarded to play long streams. Welcome to the club!

You will learn it, when you play more.
I wont learn it, no matter how much I play. There is no club.

There's no such thing as being unable to learn snapping, it's just a habit

as is consistently hitting streams
I do not, unfortunately, have that habit yet. Working on it.

And don't fool yourself: there's always a club.

snapping is moving to the next note in an straight or almost straight line,

flow playstyle, is not really snapping your wrist to the next note, usually more like curving it.

so for a square pattern, a snappy player would have cursor movements more like a square, while the more flowy player would instead use a circular pattern to hit the notes.

in the end, it's really your choice on what you end up using though.

Definitely his choice, except "flowy" playstyle doesn't work because you can't hit square jumps if you're drawing a circle, which is basically why everyone recommends snapping

This is coming from someone who's played like that for a long time, but when you learn to snap accurately, your aim improves a lot.

Ikr, I can't hit squares consistently to save my life because I flow and always come up short.

Snapping is defo a better playstyle if you can get used to it so start now while you can

Not true

GhostFrog
We haven't had a thread on a while on the definition of snapping.

Is it:
1) moving in straight lines?
2) getting to each note as fast as possible?
3) stopping, even if only momentarily, on each note?
4) some combination of these?
5) something else?

The definition I use is choice 3, but there are a surprising number of different opinions on this.

Not true

Notice how his accuracy is at 80% and how many misses and 100s he got

You can kill a lion with a rifle, but you can also kill it with a pencil
It does not mean, however, that the pencil is equal to the rifle in terms of killingfulness (just made that up), because it by all means is not.

EDIT: and by the way, just look at most of the 300s he got and see how he's actually snapping to these instead of "flowing" to them

Obviously snapping is better I'm not denying that, I just felt like linking that video when I read what you posted.

That depends on how you define snapping (see GhostFrogs post) because he certainly isn't moving in straight lines even though he does stop on some notes.

Yeah, sometimes it's really a circle, but often he just jumps to the next note, so I guess that counts
