Popped for snapping issues related to ⅙ and ⅛

Sorry for coming in out of nowhere. I was interested to rebubble, but had to take a look at the whole set first.

Std Collab
looks fine

CtB Collab
01:29:584 (3) - 01:39:637 (3) - These should be snapped to ⅙, not ⅛.
02:52:516 (2) - These are snapped as ¼ on the standard diff, but that’s acceptable for keeping playability. Here, there’s almost no reason not to use ⅙ because they play identical, and it follows the song better. (Especially when it’s inconsistent with how 03:02:569 (2) - was mapped as ⅙ too)

Popped for the issues above, placing a veto until there are additional changes made below.

There are huge inconsistencies within the difficulty between each collab mapper. Some are mapping a rain, some are mapping a deluge. This is most prevalent with CLSW’s sections, which were remapped a couple months ago, whereas the rest of the diff was made 3 years ago.

05:06:652 (1) - This section is one of the hardest parts in the map, making it inconsistent with the whole diff. Having high spacing between the repetitive sliders of 05:06:966 (2,3) - provides significant challenge to the player. Combined with frequent use of large ¼ hyperdashes every 1/1 makes this section much harder than any part of the kiai, which had much more limited movement and was much easier to play.
This section is far more intense to play than the rest of the diff, while the music is far weaker and is fading to the outro.

Fortunately, this is incredibly easy to fix. If you search on the thread for an older version of the collab, you can see how much has changed. All streams in this section above are much more organised, clear to follow, and match the intensity of the song. While remapping, it was decided for one reason or another that buffing his sections from 6.5* to 7.2* was a good idea?
I would honestly be fine with rebubbling if the current version of this section was replaced with the old one.

There are many more overmapping issues on CLSW's sections, in no order

05:15:448 (1,2,1) - The song intensity here has completely dropped to zero, only small wubs are in the music. Yet there are full screen jumps again. Reduce the distance to match the song’s intensity. If you compare this section to the old version, there aren’t even hyperdashes used.

05:36:495 (3,4) - This is a massive full-screen jump on some of the least intense drums in the least intense section of the entire song. They’re mapped with almost the same intensity of the buildup to the kiai at 02:20:788 (1) - .

02:20:788 (1,2,3,4) - There’s a buildup here, but it’s far too large compared to everything prior and after this. Nerf it to what it was 3 years ago.

03:26:129 (1) - Reduce the slider velocity used here. There’s more movement used than in the kiai sections, which contrasts the intensity of the song.

03:41:207 (1) - It’s honestly just disappointing for me that you value following pp more than following the song.
If this was just a CLSW map, it would have probably been acceptable, where the rest of the map would have had the same consistent difficulty with his own sections. However, the other mappers viewpoints were not considered when CLSW made changes to his sections. Until these are changed to be consistent with the other parts again, I can't agree with this set being pushed to rank.

Further unrelated issues which should be addressed
01:24:087 (8,1) - Edge dash here, combined with fullscreen hyperdashes at 01:24:558 (2,3,4) - make this pattern really awkward to play.
01:48:590 (3) - Why is this slider reversed, it sounds identical to all other triples in this section and has nothing in the music to make it distinct.
04:11:364 (1) - This pattern feels really out of place with all the antiflow and fast movement that’s going on. Changing this pattern would follow the rest of the map much better.
04:44:663 - This stream shape could really be improved, using two straight lines like this is very uncomfortable to play compared to curves that most other maps use.
05:45:134 (2) - This is much harder to play compared to the rest of the stream, and has no strong or significant sound on it. Ctrl-g for flow would be a better option here, same for 3 and probably 4.

Call me back once you think these issues have been fixed.

Adjusted each point, what was changed at 03:26:129 (1) was rather positioning

Mania 4k Collab

  1. 02:04:453 - 02:09:480 - I think you should have 1/2 notes on both, instead of 1/1 then 1/2
  2. 02:50:946 - I suggest adding 3-note chords on 1/1 for emphasis on heavy sound for this part
  3. 03:06:652 - make it more like 03:09:480 ?
  4. 03:16:705 - Same here. I think the LN section should match the music more, right now I don't think it fits at all
  5. 03:37:438 - 03:39:951 - I think 3-note chords would be good here
  6. 04:06:024 - I'm not sure about this part. It sounds like 04:06:338 - should be heavier. Maybe make LN end earlier and have a big chord? And add more jack? I think it definitely fits, but not sure how to add it
  7. 04:11:207 (251207|1,251207|3,251207|2) - I think remove |2| here as 3-note seems too over the top. It would still be emphasised by the jack, plays nicer
  8. 04:45:370 (285370|3,285448|2,285527|1,285605|3,285605|0) - I think you should continue this through 04:45:605 - here
  9. 05:16:705 - This section should really be the same as 05:06:652 - , they sound identical. I don't think intensity should decrease

Good luck! Hope I was helpful!

  2. 04:45:370 (285370|3,285448|2,285527|1,285605|3,285605|0) - I think you should continue this through 04:45:605 - here there really isn't anything there though, the 1/4 ends at the current location
  3. 05:16:705 - This section should really be the same as 05:06:652 - , they sound identical. I don't think intensity should decrease it is true the collab of the other diff differs, but the progression of slowing down differs between them, this one is leaning more towards the increasing slowdown shown in the ctb and std as well

Good luck! Hope I was helpful!
Thanks for looking though, Unmei Muma will reply to the rest soon!

  1. 02:04:453 - 02:09:480 - I think you should have 1/2 notes on both, instead of 1/1 then 1/2 while the idea is good in essence, i'd like to keep the current pattern to show a buildup instead of having the same density throughout.
  2. 02:50:946 - I suggest adding 3-note chords on 1/1 for emphasis on heavy sound for this part done
  3. 03:06:652 - make it more like 03:09:480 ? changed the pattern of the beginning a bit to fit more what was done a bit later
  4. 03:16:705 - Same here. I think the LN section should match the music more, right now I don't think it fits at all changed to 1/2 LNs
  5. 03:37:438 - 03:39:951 - I think 3-note chords would be good here i would rather keep the current structure as it is building up - the reason why it's not a handstream later is because well lol handstreams
  6. 04:06:024 - I'm not sure about this part. It sounds like 04:06:338 - should be heavier. Maybe make LN end earlier and have a big chord? And add more jack? I think it definitely fits, but not sure how to add it likely to be caused by the change, but i shortened the LN@3 to give way to a double, even triple chord

Good luck! Hope I was helpful!
