The higher the AR, the easier it is to aim (up until you reach an AR you can't comfortably read).

Reading, for some sense of the word that depends directly on AR, is very heavily tied into aiming. The better your reading ability, the less AR will influence your aim, but the effect is always there. It's a big part of the reason why people who play nothing but AR9+ tend to hate AR8.
