Do any of you guys have characters you really like but hate/dislike the anime?

I watched Rosario + Vampire and I did not like it all very much, but I really liked Mizore. I have moar but that's all that comes to mind right now.

There's a LOT of great characters getting ruined by terrible stories.
First that comes to mind is muh waifu from Sankarea.

The story had a good plot, but felt plain out depressing throughout the whole show and it ended with a dreadful cliffhanger.

These people want to be the next Cookiezi, but all they do is talk in #osu.

Mamimi from FLCL and Togame from Katanagatari. I don't praticularly "hate" those anime, but I find them to be incredibly mediocre and not worthy of all the praise they receive.

It kinda frustrating to see so many animes I like here, but I guess there is a selection bias at work since people may not have enjoyed them but they weren't bad enough to drop and had their positives too.
