I've only been playing for 4 days but I feel that while I'm getting somewhat better at most aspects of the game, I haven't improved at all with spinners. Sometimes it feels as if I'm getting worse at them. Is there a trick to doing spinners with a mouse or is it just practice?

practice

start with the motion first, small circles means less distance you move your mouse
then start with the speed

Also spinning counterclockwise is usually reccomended due to how the wrist works

I don't believe this until I see some evidence.
I spin counterclockwise but with my left hand.
I think it's how people usually write 'o' or '0' is the reason

Huh, never thought of it that way, and it actually makes a lot of sense.

spinning 300 is enough for most spinners, i'd advise you to touch mousepad with wrist and spin with your arm, in the range of motion your skin against the mousepad lets you (pretty small motion')

Spin more.

I've always written O clockwise and I originally started spinning clockwise. After a few months I tried to learn counter clockwise spinning and became WAY better at spinning. Generally if your mouse points toward the right, and your desk/mouse area isn't very low, you're better off spinning counter clockwise.

Just keep playing at same point you will understand how to spin.
I recommend watching some videos about spinners and how to spin probably (and more efficiently) if you are using a wide-screen monitor.

What everybody said, and probably practise spinning on maps, and build up your speed. 300+ rpm is decent enough. Its easy to get the handle of it, I played on maps which have quite a lot of spinners.

I see a lot of quality shitposts here. Love it

As for you, op, I like starting the spin with a bigger but rapid movement and start closing in as it goes on. But practice is still practice
AND YOU NEED TO PRACTICE SON

I think we're done here
