  1. 00:21:442 (4) - still feel that finish hitsound doesnt really fit well here. i'd to use whistle instead

  1. no need widescreen support here
  2. 00:06:442 (3) - finish on tail sounds so loud and doesnt fit imo. you can try replace it with soft default whistle only :<
  3. 00:16:621 (4) - and 00:30:549 - same as above
  4. 00:21:442 (1) - yep i still feel replace finish with whistle would be great here
    These hitsound suggestions refer to your all diffs as well

  1. 00:05:907 (3) - this slider looks so curvy imo, i think smooth it a bit with middle node 313,165 feels better
  2. 00:16:622 (5) - yep same hitsound suggestion here.. also im bothered becuase 1/2 finishes in row q-q
  3. 00:20:907 (6,7) - probably replace this with whistle.. easy has no 1/2 so i think 1/2 of 3 circles might feel hard for newbies

  1. 00:00:014 (1) - 1/4 for first note might make a bit confuse for players.. i think circle at first stanza would be better

Okay, time for me to respond for your mod! So firstly, thanks for checking my mapset. :3 So ofc I will fix those widescreen support and combo colour things and that idea to use a single circle in Advanced difficulty is a great idea so I'm gonna use it! Haven't thought about it, to be honest. X'D

About the design things like moving points in the slider or moving them somehwere else, using NCs in Insane and the way I hitsounded notes... well, I like it as it is now and since those are rather suggestions, I'd like to keep those notes as they are. I got a few players and modders suggesting me to use normal or drum whistles, but I find my hitsounding the best, sorry. ;3; Also the design should be perfectly fine and 00:05:907 (3) - this note in Normal is blanketing with another note so I'll keep it as it is. However, I replaced two circles with a slider 00:20:906 (6,7) - here.

About so-called overmapping. Well, I made the melody myself and if it was obviously overmapped like one of taiko diffs (removed one), I would delete the problematic patterns. Sadly, there is no overmap like mapping non-existent sounds. Moments like 00:02:960 - or 00:05:103 - that are mapped without overmapping. Yes, they are not mapped in Easy Normal and so on because it would be too harsh. However, I used doubled quiet notes in the music which are happening at those highlighted moments and mapping them in difficulties which are supposed to be Hard+ should be totally fine, safe and rankable since I map sounds which do exist. I do not map sounds which are living in my own mind or imagined ones, so sadly I do not agree on removing those notes on these moments since overmapping is usual in 2015 (for example "Technonationalism" difficulty in nold's mapset for T-T-Techno) and I do not even try to overmap in my own set.

Also if my mapset ever gets qualified, I will appreciate if the QAT memebers read this post instead of disqualifying my mapset for "overmapping" reasons which are not even valid. Thank you!

So now let's wait for - Magic Bomb - to see what he says. After his answer I'm going to update the mapset. : D

EDIT: Also fixed the skin preference in Gero's difficulty.

Hello!

We have found some potential issues that we feel are important enough to address before continuing:

General

HP Drain settings are too low in Taiko difficulties.

  • With the current HP setting, no effort is required to pass the map. Higher HP Drain is encouraged to use in order to give a proper experience to the player. HP7 or 8 is the recommended setting for both difficulties.

If you disagree with these suggestions, please reply to this thread justifying why so we can discuss alternatives.

Otherwise, please reply to this thread when these issues are resolved.

Thanks for working with us towards higher quality beatmaps, we hope to see your beatmap ranked soon!

The HP you gain per note is inversely proportional to the total notes, but the HP you lose is constant, regardless of the total notes. That's why some marathons are a pain even with HP 4. Short songs should use a higher HP than the average due this, too.

I have to agree with Dake.The HP must be higher on Taiko diffs.

Apparently I noticed the hitsounding is a bit messed in one CtB diff so probably that was only a matter of time to get any DQ. Also I see what is going on here (OMG I hate hybrid beatmaps really the very last time I'm hosting the whole hybrid set). Anyways, let me inform SEE about it so he knows about it and we will use HP7.0-8.0 in taikos. By the way I am happy that is THE ONLY issue in taikos and except HP drain they are fine. \:3/

EDIT: And since it's the only issue, may I ask for an appropriate icon (also known as a fluffy bubble) on this beatmap from the disqualifier when the issue is fixed? This is a really painful thing to get hybrids requalified because noone wants to cooperate but I see the beatmap is really high quality and it doesn't have many problems.
