00:17:428 - consider changing the following 2 bars to resemble 00:14:761 (18,19,20,21,22) for consistency //more variety isn't a bad thing, right?
00:31:428 (46,47) - consider changing this to d d to follow 00:34:094 (50,51) (or the other way round if you wish) //prefer using kat for emphasizing the high pitch
00:59:428 (84) - this note could be removed to emphasis 00:58:761 (82,83) , i.e. the drum beat
01:22:761 (121) - change to d, I personally don't find the D for emphasis necessary

[Futsuu]
00:13:428 (1,2,3,4,5) - change to k k k k d, snares imo should be k instead of d
00:25:094 (28) - change to k, match trumpets(?) pitch
00:31:428 (40,41) - see Kantan //same
00:57:928 (86) - could be changed to D to create anticipation //doesn't fit the music imo.
01:11:428 (111,112,113) - change to kkd, match vocals pitch

[Muzukashii]
00:35:261 - add d, follow 00:33:761 (77,78,79)
00:44:594 (123,124,125) and 00:45:928 (129,130,131) - change to d, match drum kick as well as vocal pitch //I use kat to fit the pitch.
01:15:094 (238) - move to 01:15:428 , d is more fitting on the 1st or the 3rd beat //keep that for the drum sound.

[Oni]
00:09:261 (22,26) - these notes are supposed to be triplets, placed 1/3 behind 00:09:428 (23,27) respectively
00:41:594 (184) - might want to remove to shorten this run, and also match the subsequent pattern at 00:44:261 //not really i think. At least I don't see any reason to remove that.
01:02:928 (305,306,307,308) - change to ddd k, match vocals
01:13:761 (381,382) - change to d k, match vocals

You forgot remove the Widescreen Support

00:08:761 - Change to k?
00:19:428 - Add a d is better.
00:24:761 - ^ //Both too hard for kantan

[Futsuu]

You forgot remove the Widescreen Support

01:07:094 - Change to k. //Too hard for futsuu.
01:19:094 - ^ //^
01:19:761 - Change to k and here 01:20:094 - Change to d.

[Muzukashii]

You forgot remove the Widescreen Support

00:55:261 - Change to k. //Really, don sounds better.
00:56:594 - ^ //Same.

[Oni]

You forgot remove the Widescreen Support

00:49:261 - Change to k? is better. //I don't think it fits. Sorry.

感覺Kantan跟futsuu難度有點接近,建議把kantan改簡單一點。
如果我有空的話應該會來Mod :)

感覺還是有明顯的差距....適當的做了微調

Hi, here is the recheck as requested.

  • [Kantan]
  1. 00:06:761 (7) - consider adding finish here ? The stressed sound is much louder than 00:08:094 (10,12) - and is similar to 00:14:761 (18) -
  2. 00:53:428 (76) - maybe d to emphasize the low-pitched vocal there ?
  3. 01:10:094 (99) - this note could be deleted to give a 4/1 break. Currently the kiai is a bit crowded with 2/1 + 1/1 notes. Deleting the note could not only allow more time to rest in the middle of the kiai, but also make the pattern consistent with 00:59:428 -
  4. 01:19:428 (113) - d would be better as the vocal pitch is the same as 01:18:761 (112) -
  5. 01:21:428 (117) - maybe D as you did at 01:22:761 (120,122) - for consistency ?
  • [Futsuu]

I would suggest adding some 1/2 notes in this difficulty in order to make the number of notes closer to Muzukashii. Currently its gap with Muzukashii is quite big imo.
  1. 00:28:761 - consider adding a note here for a better spread ? The current density is nearly the same as Kantan.
  2. 00:28:928 - take this point as an example, you may add a note here for a 1/2 pattern to increase the difficulty a bit. You may add k at 00:29:761 - afterwards for a better flow.
  3. 00:37:094 - maybe add k here for pattern consistency as 00:26:428 (31) - ?
  4. 00:39:428 and 00:39:594 - same as 00:28:761 - , add d ?
  5. 00:41:428 (59) - is it intended to use finish here ? I think it would be better to change to k for consistency across all diffs.
  6. 00:58:761 (87,88) - consider adding finish here to emphasize the drums ?
  7. From 01:00:094 to 01:24:094 - the note density in the kiai is nearly the same as Kantan, especially 01:00:094 (90,91,92,93,94,95,96) - and 01:21:428 (132,133,134,135,136,137,138) - . I would recommend adding some 1/1 and 1/2 notes with reference to those in Muzukashii to increase the density a bit.
  • [Muzukashii]
  1. 00:25:261 (43) - consider deleting this note ? A bit unnecessary imo.
  2. 00:28:094 (54) - this note could be deleted to give a 2/1 break. Currently the 1/1 + 1/2 pattern is quite long from 00:14:761 to 00:46:761 -
  3. 00:38:761 (97) - same as ^
  4. 00:41:261 (107,108,109,110,111,112,113,114,115,116,117,118) - these four 1/4 ddk may be a bit hard for Muzukashii. Consider simplifying the pattern a bit or using monotone triplets instead ?
  5. 01:21:428 (267) - I think you may have missed the finish here ?
  • [Climbb's Taiko Oni]

Consider removing "Taiko" from difficulty name so as to make it consistent with other diffs ?
  1. 00:23:928 (124,125,126) - maybe try ddk to follow the high-pitched sound at 00:24:094 - better ?
  2. 00:39:928 (223,224,225) - consider using kkd here to fit the high-pitched vocal ?
  3. 01:13:928 (427,428,429) - same as ^
  • [Oni]
  1. 00:25:094 (81) - consider changing this note to k to accompany the high-pitched music there ?
  2. 00:39:344 - you may add d here for the background sound.
  • [aabc's Oni]
  1. 01:02:428 (5,1,1) - consider changing these notes to k d k ? This could follow both the vocal and snare in a way better imo.

Good diff following the vocal :3
The Onis look fine. You may call me back after fixing the difficulty issue in Futsuu~ :D

anything which is not mentioned means fixed or fixed in other ways.
For Futsuu, rarely do I put 1/2 too frequently as it may be a bit difficult for newbies, but instead, I removed some notes in muzukashii to reduce the gap.

  3. 01:13:928 (427,428,429) - same as ^
no change for these, as cbb is a drum-based mapper. I definitely sure he won't change anything for these because of the drum sound. (I checked these personally and found that they are fine since they followed the drum well.

The spread from Kantan to Muzukashii is much better now, and there are adequate breaks in the lower difficulties. The Onis are generally nicely mapped with distinctive styles.

Reason for Disqualification

Hi guys, Ono here. And sorry, but on behalf of the QAT I have to disqualify this set due to following reasons:

  1. The spread between lower (KFM) and upper (OIU) diffs is too high.
  2. Muzukashii contains in the kiai complex patterns which can be prevented when fixing the spread.
  3. Futsuu is continuous mapped with baerly any breaks at certain places like from 00:13:428 to 00:45:428 where the main snapping is 2/1 + 1/1, thus, would need bigger snapping for considerable breaks.
  4. Overall refinement is needed, like some restruction of notes or finisher (Muzu: 0:55:428 (146) - move to 00:55:594 - ) or the smoother transition of SV changes (Oni: 00:59:928 - )

While some of the points you see above have something to do with difficulty or maybe pattern structure itself, they also combine a general problem this map set has: The spread

There was some working on the spread as I can see, but it must be still refined since there are several aspects which makes the spread suffer. So is Futsuu mapped in a continues way and needs some deletions to make it not appear too hard, while Muzu contains some more complicated patterns, especially in kiai which should be reconsidered once again. And there is also the big problem that the difficulty spike from Muzu to the other Onis is really high. So does aabc's Oni (easiest one) contain a lot of 1/4, duplet, different tripplets, fiveplets and all somehow bounded together while Muzukashii has just some simple 1/2 + 1/1 constellations with some additional 1/4 mono tripplets or1/3 in kiai. So this set lacks a difficulty which introduces into the higher diffs. A connection between lower and upper diffs.

To be able to acchieve -hopefully- above said things, following solution will be suggested:

  1. Give Futsuu some deletions (main snapping 2/1+1/1, so break should be like 4/1) (SV 1.2 also not needed)
  2. Make for Muzu some easier patterns to compensate the removal in Futsuu and give more room for a new Oni. Introducing little 1/3 might be possible.
  3. New Oni with patterns which Muzu used before. Monotonically 5plets would be also possible.
  4. (Kantan can have some deletions too, but I will go more in specific later)

That's all for now. I hope the post doesn't confuse you guys somehow. If you allowe me, I would mod it tomorrow when I'm back from university, since I want to go more in specific here instead of just disqualifing this.

Hello!

We received your concerns about this map being disqualified for invalid reasons. Unfortunately, this disqualification has to stay. However, we agreed with points you arose upon us. Let me explain below:

  1. You explained that you disagree with the spread issues outlined by the Taiko QAT. This is something we agree with the QAT. The gap between the Muzukashii and the first Oni (here, seemingly climbb's) is quite huge, making it very hard for people to transit from Muzukashii to Oni level on this mapset. Whereas the Muzukashii is mostly based on objects being snapped on 1/2 and (every now and then) a 1/4 triplet, the Oni instantly jumps up to longer monotone 1/4 streams, 1/3 1/6 combinations (last kiai) and scroll speed changes (even if just the finishers were affected) [for reference: I took climbb's Oni to explain this gap, as the other two Insanes were even more difficult]. We see potential to reduce the dense and difficulty on climbb's Oni (maybe slim out some 1/4 streams and remove the SV changes?) to fix that spread issue and even out the huge gap.
  2. We agree with kanpakyin that the Futsuu is not having any continous mapping. You also asked what is meant with that. Continous mapping is the case if you place objects right one after another without leaving a small gap to rest the hands from constantly hitting a constant pace of patterns. (e.g. a long 20sec 1/4 densed section should have a gap of 1/2 to give people a chance to catch up again). These gaps have to be spread every now and then, so people have a chance to find themselves into the map again. Anyways, the Futsuu has a reasonable amount of gaps, so we do not see a need to change that.
  3. We agree with kanpakyin that the patterns in the last Muzukashii kiai time were not too complex. Indeed they were peaking out of the rest of the difficulty, however it was the climax of the song and it was very well warranted by the song. They are not TOO hard (even though the long 1/3 don pattern was quite long and maybe you want to shorten that, if you can), but they peaked. We understood the concerns of the QAT here and want to say that they probably just added this reason because they were going to disqualify over the spread, anyways.
  4. We agree with the QAT about the overall enhancements being required. The Scroll Speed changes performed on the Onis were not very polished and can be refined. They were hard to predict on first glance and seemed to us more like a attempt to "overdesign" it. You either want to reconsider their usage overally or want to rethink a better way to perform them.
Sorry for the long delay. We hope that we can find an agreement here and that you can requalify your good work at some point or another.
