why am i request this map here smh https://osu.ppy.sh/s/616967 it's cool because i use *quite* different combo colors for some part of the song, also SV gimmicks and 1/4, 1/3 mixed
https://osu.ppy.sh/s/654575 this map may not be very cool but its a little bit cool cause very fast sv slider jumps at kiai and kiais mapped differently (meaning they require different type of skill (buzzslider jumps/streams/fast sv slider jumps) for each of 3 higher diffs. Also almost perfect overlaps
I believe it uses a lot of triangle patterns as well as a relatively unique (at least for me) back-forth style that fits with the apex the music gives. It's hard to explain it in one sentence, the insane is also quite unique in that its anti-jumps are a main theme of the map. Yo this map is also cool because it doesn't follow subjective and opinionated constructs of what's cool.
this map is cool because OOR :3 this map is cool because its mapped with simple patterns and readable (i tried to gave a player comfortable while they played it) and then i used a lot of jumps on the top diff for the pp (and also to get attention by bn if i mapped top diff perhaps)
https://osu.ppy.sh/s/572095 cool bc it's mapped mostly to vocals and in the first kiai I tried to make it flow well so that the 1/4 gaps are easier to play with high spacing?
https://osu.ppy.sh/s/620604 Please, got a lot of mods already and 2 BN checks! This map is special because of the low SR I tried using ideas from Porter Robinson maps, and the low BPM makes it easy to play while challenging to FC due to the length. Thanks!
https://osu.ppy.sh/s/572387 I think it's cool because it disregards a lot of what I used to consider good flow. I threw out my old mapping reference on just using circular flow/sharp angles and I'm surprised at how it turned out. More noticeable on hard but present through all my diffs
i've skimmed through all the maps posted so far and marked down 14 that interested me (2 of which i've already modded). i probably won't nominate all of them, but i'll at least give them a closer look over the next few days
Let's try another set https://osu.ppy.sh/s/652293 It's interesting mainly because there's a quite a few GD's and in each of them, mappers promoted different interpretations to the song, from visuals, to rhythms every diff is kinda unique. thx
