So I was going to change my avatar, but it was 150x150, so I couldn't use it. I then remembered that at another forum, if the avatar was too big (but in the allowed filesize), then it would resize the image so it fit in the limit.

I'd like this to be added to this site, so I could have avatars that are somewhat close to 128x128, but are a tad bit larger.

I searched, and I didn't find any similar requests.

Write me the code to do so and I'll happily add it. I can provide the current avatar submit code if you want.

I'll work on trying to find the code for the forum I saw this on~ (I'm pretty sure I found it, but it required you to get a subscription to vbulliten, which was about $300 .-.)

I'm not actually that good at coding, so I'm not sure if the current avatar thing would help me atm, but I'll pm you if I need it :3~

Uh, don't bother. You're just going to waste your time.

I know you use a highly modified bulletin board, but looking around, couldn't really figure out if it was based on any other one of made from scratch. Anyways, probably not worth the time, but if you want to bother, here's the

phpbb2: http://www.phpbbhacks.com/download/4468

Then again, really not worth the time.

Don't see why. They are respectly enough people out with a good knownledge and skills about making Avatars. So if people want a good-looking avatar, there are three options:

- Ask meiikyuu/Miyu/anyone in the In-Game Chat if (s)he could help.
- Do it yourself.
- Being avatarless is also cool. lol

Also, how I could read, there would be the correct coding needed for it.

no need for this. if you really need to resize an image and you're too noob to be able to resize an image in paint, there's a lot of online programs that could help you.

In my opinion, manual editing of pictures for avatars, a relic of the past.
P.S. Where [web] tag?

2 yo post. imo the tag didn't even exist at this period.

About the idea, some people are really bad with those kind of software, it would be of course a good thing for these people. But a feature for some people sounds really low priority in my mind.

Resizing with Paint is more complicated than any other image editing software there is. Paint, not paint.net.

I realize it's easy, but how easy it is isn't the problem. People request this for convenience, because they don't want to manually resize images manually. Anything that makes something tedious simple and trivial is a good thing and the code is there for implementation. Other forums do it and there are no real downsides for adding this feature. I see no reason to disagree. Support.

Photoshop CS2 is now completely free. http://www.adobe.com/downloads/cs2_downloads/ Use that if you don't want to use paint.

I've switched to Paint.Net years ago and it's still going strong. It's a completely free editor with many cool features. Haven't touched photo shop for ages.

What's best is that the software is community supported, so if you require a special function it can be requested at the forum. Does tons of cool stuff.
