Sorry, I'm still not convinced.
I'm pretty sure the beat is the same. maybe in yours we can hear better the trumpet starting to play, but to me the actual beat is hearable also in mine.
idk.. maybe QAT should decide if I can just keep my mp3 or not.

I actually wasn't sure if I should speak on this myself, but there is a beat missing from the mp3.

I mean, as far as ranking's concerned I doubt it'd be a problem since it doesn't affect the beatmap and its playability, it's solely a difference between the original audio and this, as if the beginning lagged or is stunted. But since the mapping's based around it, it doesn't really make the map any less playable.

Made a comparison video of sorts, though it isn't exactly side by side: https://youtu.be/G2GZrDT53sI

The .mp3 used here seems quite normal to me
And. Multiple songs have weird x/4 setups
I once mapped a 13/4 with 11/4
It was vocaloid
A 7/4 for once isn't that weird imo

It's not that 7/4 is weird, it's just that in this case, there is no instance where the song goes into 3/4 or 7/4.
The song is 4/4 all the time. You can use BRADIO's official OP as proof.

Perhaps you got your mp3 from here, where the beat is cut off from the beginning.

I do want this beatmap to be ranked and stuff, but the missing beat at the beginning is probably unexpected for those who expect 4/4 timing.

So since it was really disturbing, I decided to take a look into this mp3.
The start is clearly truncated, the song start after the attack of first instrument. But in the case you don't belive me, I compared the mp3 from the map and the one from full version, who have the same start.

mp3 from map is on the top, and full version just under. I sync them ofc, you can confirm with waveform.
So, if the mp3 from the map was good, it should start from the same place than fuu ver., or...that's not the case AT ALL.

DQ this map, this is clearly stupid to make it pass.

How is this seriously a DQ'able issue
If I use a different .mp3 then an official source which misses a part, it's suddenly also DQ'able
Wtf

Edit: Let's just wait on clarification from the QAT

Because...it start from the middle of a note and kinda unsnaped ? Ohwell...like you want but don't be surprised if something happend.

so, if I remember well, when I first mapped this one I took the mp3 from https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UjjTMNDZi-A or somewhere else, but I clarely remember that at the time there wasn't a better mp3 to find anywhere. since the actual beat to be hitten is still there in my mp3 I always thought it was not a problem, and no one (not eaven BNs) complained about it.
Probably with the release of full version or official version the mp3 quality improved..
Anyway, for me tha map is fine.. but I would like to see a QAT's opinion, instead of discussing randomly at this point.

I don't think mp3 quality is the reason. It's about the mp3 being clipped so that the first beat is missing.

I believe your YouTube link is also what I linked before:

Anyways, I'd like to hear QAT's opinion on this to see if that matters.

I'm wondering what you're doing in BNG with this kind of reaction/argument to be honest...

I'm not at home, but to avoid more 'angry discussions' at this point, I can provide you a part of the answer (I'm not a QAT but as a staff member, I can help and try to give a reliable opinion)

Your timing isn't really "bad" because you're still using 4 beats per mesure so it's on beat but 7/4 just mean you remove one mesure (which is the cut some people were pointing out). To be more precise, it means you're not on the right big white tick we should have (because it's not in this mp3) and you're just moving the next big white tick 7 mesures later (instead of 8) to come back on the 4/4 mesure the song is using.

We can just call this a "glitch" or a "trick" which isn't acceptable for a ranked map. You can solve the problem by updating the mp3 file with a better version and you'll have something a lot better in term of quality. (btw I found a weird bug, when you reach the first green point, ticks are changing to 4/4 in the timeline without any red point... I can't replicate it tho... edit : apparently, a visual bug already reported by Shiro)

I'm not talking about the general aspect of the map, it's certainly well mapped (I haven't checked it so I can't tell you but the rating seems ok). It's obviously not affecting the whole playability because it's just one note at the beginning of the map but let's be honest, it sounds terrible ^^' It's not making sense with the next mesure using the same 'pattern' but timed differently.

Hope I answered some questions and that it'll be possible to see this fixed!
If you have any problem, feel free to pm me instead of flooding this thread.

Thank you!

Sharpii, what you said indeed makes sense
But I personally don't see why it should be DQ'd just because it uses a 'different' .mp3
You did clarify it more to me, but I see no need to DQ it because Luxo took a .mp3 which misses a part
Also, I don't know the 'long' version, but the current one seems to go rather nicely, with the string sounds starting at the offset at a 7/4
This is just my opinion on it, let's just wait on what the QAT have to say about this

Edit: Sorry for all the troubles
I had a talk with shARPII, and he explained what the problems was
Yeah, I can understand it now, as it's not the official .mp3
Of the official .mp3, in the first 2 beats, a chunk is taken out, as the trumpet used to be longer (unless I misundertood again)
However, I still don't find it a DQáble something
Okay, if it gets DQ'd for mapping quality or something like that, then it should be changed, btu I personally don't think it needs to be DQ'd just because of this

ok, I understand the problem.
Anyway I want to see a QAT here. cause none of us have the power to disqualify this or decide to let it be ranked.
We can discuss this forever but they have to decide.
Bearizm
Pretty late, but yeah, I noticed the mp3 started in the middle of the first beat.

I know you downloaded your video and MP3 from https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UjjTMNDZi-A but if you compare that with https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tEzoxgv_kOM you'll realize that the first beat is really missing.

man, I'd really love this to get ranked T~T wish someone would map the full ver too! ;w;

Thanks, but we already know that.
I can't decide anything unless a QAT come.

Disqualification Notice

Hello!

Unfortunately, the Quality Assurance Team has decided to disqualify this beatmap. The following is a list of reasons and examples for the disqualification. We do not outline every issue in detail, so make sure to take the idea behind each reason and apply it to the entire beatmap as issues might be found in more than the spots mentioned below. If you have any questions, please reply to this post and we will do our best to clarify any misunderstandings.

General

Faulty Audio File
  1. The audio file included starts later than it should (skips past the attack of the beginning). This causes the timing to be hacky and can be fixed with a proper audio file.

If you happen to have concerns about this disqualification, you can contest the decision with this form. Before using this form, please read the instructions carefully.

The Beatmap Nominators may handle this mapset after the issues have been addressed.

Good luck!

Allow me to help, since I was the one who brought up the problem in the first place.

I took the tusfiles mp3 and normalized it (to make it "louder", since the mp3 file is a bit quiet) on Audacity.

The following link is the result: https://www.mediafire.com/?63q3993c2y8sj9z

EDIT: I also took BRADIO's TV size off YouTube, which resulted in this mp3: https://www.mediafire.com/?682t5f0y2l6dpjm
(I cut off the end parts where the credits roll, which is just replaying the song again. Still TV size)
Also Okoratu's idea might be good too.

Let me know if the mp3 is faulty or not!
