Question to Hayate No Gotoku/The Combat Butler Fans

So i dropped this manga a few months back... maybe even a little more than half a year. Idk why i dropped it i still liked it but i just didnt care enough to actually read it weekly (or in this case monthly).

I dropped it at the part where Hayate meets his brother at the beach and he seemingly doesn't know who Hayate is. Does the manga get better or is it just getting too dragged out? Unlike One Piece, the manga had long character developments/explanation (sometimes maybe too long and boring, but it still regain its taste by giving us an awesome fight time to time and the movie animations are truly divine *cough* Z vs Borsalino *cough*). On the other hand Hayate has really nothing going for it except its randomness and people just hoping for it to get better. Sometimes i think the only reason why its still "there" is because people just don't want to give up Hayate or Nagi.

So the question really is should i keep reading on? I mean the story does interests me somewhat since i want to know how Nagi gets her money back (obviously throw the jewels/gem thing which btw i forgot the name since i haven't read it in a long time). I have a lot of things to watch/read Gundam:BFT, Gundam Recon., Twin Tails, Blade Dance, and etc. are just some of them. Hope you guys give me honest opinions

I'm a fan of Hayate no Gotoku, but I put the manga on halt due to me getting lost in the chapters.

I think I haven't got to the part you mention there (OMG spoiler, you should die), but I remember reading about Ruka. If the story interest you, then I think you should keep reading. But read a bunch of chapter at the same time (they're mostly short ones anyway), so you don't get overwhelmed by it.

Now, which chapter did I read last time....
