this list was WAY harder to decide on than last year and i would really like to interchange a few players/ vote for a whole 20 players. since i can't i included a list of honorable mentions and my reasons for them. i think the top 6 players on my list don't need an explanation because they deserve the title

My votes:

    7. emperorpenguin83 (before you guys sling shit at me, you gotta at least respect the fact that he's the only good ar11 player in top 50)

    8. NerO (very impressive plays i've been trying to match for a long time, sick aim bro)

    9. Gokuri (have you seen this guy's consistency? a HDHR mouse player is nothing to scoff at, and he can also DT well. what a pro.)

    10. Rafis (was a nobody until he shot into the top 10 over like 2 months. that improvement deserves my vote)

Honorable mentions
honorable mentions:
  • thelewa (will always have HDHR scores i look up to, but was largely inactive this year and doesn't seem to want votes)

    small k (shot up in ranks pretty fast like rafis, not too well known for his plays but has a score on a good majority of the hard pp maps. well rounded player and nothing to scoff at)

    a2r (rucker) (damn, i miss the days when this guy was cookiezi's only competition. he's top tier still and just hasn't bothered much with his rank. pro <3)

    xilver15 (very underrated player, incredible accuracy on par with bikko and the rest. if he improves his HD you can expect him to wreck the scoreboards with his acc in the near future)

    alumetorz (pro HR only, nice aim)

    omgforz (barely even anyone mentioning him, but he carried in OWC for austria and demonstrated his exceptional nomod skills and reading)

    wobeinimacao (also pro HR, notably consistent speed. i remember playing multi with him and watching him improve back in the day)

    azer (improved really fast this last year, glad to make him one of my rivals)

    adamqs (best HDHR aim in the world imo, too bad he's restricted from his account)

    bikko (godtier HDHR acc)

    kynan (300 bpm ar10.3 guy)

    HAUHAU (probably the most consistent 10.3 reading in top 50)

    nitro (very consistent and proficient at most modsets)

    sapphireghost (USA's HD and aim god)

    tokichii (very impressive DT improvement and notable aim; could be one of the best if he keeps improving)

    happystick (why did i rival myself with you too? gotta go fast man. if you think he shouldn't be on this list of honorable mentions, check his image material play)

    doomsday (TEACH ME HOW TO STREAM SENPAI)

    cptnXn (dat freedom dive)

    Elysion (i'm always astounded by how you can consistently DT things, even the stuff i HR)

    Astar (nice improvement this year, gj dude)

    MeCarl, isokasapupuja, Meltina, Angelsim (all good DT players and perhaps underrated despite their skills)


there are a handful of other inactive players that deserve mentions and a ton of people who i debated putting in the 6-10 votes of this list. all in all the community has improved as a whole and i'm glad to see the level of competition improving. i think we can even credit some of that to tom94 for helping implement ppv2 and encouraging more skillful gameplay. 2014 has been a great year and i'm eager to see where the top players end up in 2015
