Changing from hover to drag

I've been pondering about how good my pen precision can improve by dragging instead of hovering, which I have done for 3 years without a blink of changing my playstyle. In high level DT maps like Mezame and Remote Control I can't think how it is possible to have a stable aiming while hovering. My real question is, is it worth the change or will it just screw my tablet?

as far as I know the 3 players who have DT'd Remote Control hovered so...

If this is all you're worried about, buy some protective film, the kind you'd put on a phone screen. Buy one big enough for an ipad or android tablet, and stick it over your play area, this should protect it from scratches, and should still retain clicking functionality. If you can't be bothered buying that, you could probably get away with even using a couple layers of cling wrap.

And rank 1 on both airman and freedom dive use mouse. Those songs have less full combos. 8-)

It's all a conspiracy that started in 2004 and proliferated in 2007 when the capitalist pigs at the tablet companies decided that they should adjust their tablet materials so when the pen made contact it would cause severe damage. They intended this so artists using the tablet would have to fork out more money to Obama for his satanic hardcore leftist policies. WAKE UP SHEEPLE.

Dragging for me helped me actually have not half assed aim, in the long run my nibs wear out and it created inconsistency's now it's just a huge pain in the ass, I like to drag because the aim is clean like a mouse and I don't use a mouse because drift sucks.

Oh and fast jumps like those double time maps would be much easier hovering just because dragging restricts your movement

It doesn't matter, you can get good with both. Personally, I like drag but its all preference. Do whatever suits you. End of story.

Without videos or confirmation we can only assume that the players who fc'd remote control dt hovered during those plays based on the fact that they hover in general. If they did/didn't hover on those plays it's because it was more comfortable for them so that should be the main take away: do whatever is most comfortable for you.

The problem with dragging is that you burn through nibs like no 2morrow. I also feel personally(I used to drag) that the hand movements when dragging are less natural than when hovering. I personally move much faster and accurately when hovering and I noticed a significant improvement in my playstyle when I moved from dragging to hovering.


I am not as good as you at the game (not nearly) but this has been my own personal experience.

The texture on my tablet feels weird when dragging so I hover instead, but it's up to you:P

i have been dragging since i started playing with tablet because i thought everyone was doing it xD

i use a foil to protect my tablet from damage and make the surface smoother though :D
(edit: btw this also prevents the nibs from wearing off, i didnt even need to buy a new one once since i started playing)

my aim gets worse all the time when i try to hover :x i guess its just a matter of personal preference
