olala mod from my Q but olala its a very gud mapset! okorin + noffy got me pregnant :'(

[Okorin-senpai Insane]
  1. 00:21:126 (2,3,4) - Here, with the sound that I hear, I would think about something more fast (gotta got fast *cough cough*) but here, I see something that slow this part with the triplet, so I don't know if you want to change it, but I think it could be a possibility. Look here, it fit(s) very well! → 00:32:098 (2,3,4) -
  2. 00:21:469 (4) - Why you didn't NC here, but you did on the previous slider 00:20:784 (1) - but it's the the same sound *cry*
  3. 00:29:355 (2,4) - You should rework a bit the blanket here
  4. 00:51:298 (2,3) - In my opinion, this part isn't really nice, because it's like an overleap between those two sliders, and I don't think that it's the good thing to do, but it's up to you :D
  5. 01:01:926 (1) - I would change the side of this slider, like this https://puu.sh/riKCm/e3ae4f7511.png and then the flow can be more good imo.
  6. 01:10:841 (3,4) - The flow here is quite strange, I think the problem is from the second slider pwp

That's all I listed for Okokokokokoko so I think it's okay blblblblbl

[Noffy-gami Hard]
  1. 00:10:155 (2,3,4,5) - To be honest, I think you can keep the same pattern as you did before, here → 00:08:441 (1,2,3,4,5) - or you can move those stacks in my opinion, to make something more spaced like that → https://puu.sh/riL20/77e72bc17a.png

There is everything I found on both diffs, I think this mapset is very very very nice, and it could be ranked very soon because you have strong diffs!
Probably sometimes, hitsounds are a bit too loud, so I think you can change a bit the volume, especially on the Hard diff D:
Otherwise, it's a very great mapset I love the song, and I hope it will get ranked, I will give kudosu because of my overload of yoloswagness.

I'm here after 2 years lets see how things held up. Ayyri sent me here 8-)

[Easy]
Easy seems fine

[Normal]
Usually for this 00:16:669 (3) - this note is Ctrl+G for flow purposes but it will do
00:29:012 (1) - Just pointing out that slider like this our of nowhere is kinda sloppy. Things like this could be useful http://puu.sh/rCycI/d92b9da86f.jpg
00:50:955 (1) - I honestly don't think you need that white anchor at the end of the slider. You can keep but you can make both sides of the slider consistent
01:03:297 (4) - Can be NC
01:18:041 (5) - This can be replaced for 2 circles
I think the biggest fault on this normal is that it has slider velocity changes on a normal. I would highly suggest that to be changed. Nothing really stands out to use 1.25 SV on the kiai parts. You can jump the difficulty by doing the rhythms you already have or even adding extra flare to it. I do agree it stays consistent, but the change only makes the sliders faster but relatively everything seems the same.

[Hard]
01:36:898 (2,3) - This rhythm could be Ctrl+G better to continue the pattern with slider first then to end on a slider. That or the slider can be repeated (2)
02:09:469 (3,4) - This can fit by blanketing but that's just me being judgmental

Oko's Part seems fine.

My only concern is the normal. It's really holding this map back. Once the changes have been made or a good reason as to why 1.25 SV is used on a normal then I'll see to push the mapset forward. 8-) Advanced diff can be looked into but really I just want to see what is going to be said for normal diff

I do agree it stays consistent, but the change only makes the sliders faster but relatively everything seems the same.
I can understand why you suggest that, as it is a normal. However, I think it is fitting here due to how much more intense the kiai sections are compared to the rest of the song. In all of my difficulties, this is additionally reflected in the rhythm growing more dense/intense. (Beginner going from solid 4/1 to some 2/1, easy from 2/1 to some 1/1, normal 1/1 to some 1/2, and hard from less to more circles. I feel that with how much more intense the song gets during the kiai, the sv change is warranted and plays well. It also helps it to be more readable in the increased rhythm rather than suddenly everything overlaps eachother in normal and hard. Removing this slider change - which I overall disagree with - would also make normal even easier, which in the set's current spread where I'm worried about it being too easy compared to hard always would make said difficulty gap even larger, as on top of the denser rhythm in the kiai, only hard would have the increase in speed. I want to introduce this in normal, as it fits, and also helps to introduce that new shiny thing in difficulty progression.
That being said, I plan to look at normal, in particular the kiai sections, to revise parts that may have awkward flow, as I think I made some parts weirdly linear or angular that makes it play more oddly than need be. For that reason, normal only has light updates for now and I'll apply your mod more fully when reworking certain parts.
Hopefully once I do that it'll be better~

I'm sorry this is really long I wasn't sure how much would classify as a good reason so I tried to write out the entirety of my reasoning as best as I could ;;

[Hard]
01:36:898 (2,3) - This rhythm could be Ctrl+G better to continue the pattern with slider first then to end on a slider. That or the slider can be repeated (2) Changed~ Fits better yes.
02:09:469 (3,4) - This can fit by blanketing but that's just me being judgmental I'm ashamed. Revised.

Oko's Part seems fine. perfect since birth.

My only concern is the normal. It's really holding this map back. What I meant with an advanced was that you could have one between normal and hard. The gap spread SV of the map itself is a big jump. The normal is quite easy to play then the hard comes in with more of an impact. An advanced could help leverage out your SV and the way your map is played. It's not really necessary if you don't want it but I'm just saying it'll be really good to have one. I've talked to Kibb I'll see what he says 8-)

Ohhhh I see! I may have to look into making one then if I can :)
Not sure how I'd make a rhythm for it though >_<
Even if deep in my heart I want to be lazy and say it's not needed, I've technically mapped 13ish diffs for this song if you count full-remaps so. Soo.. another one.. wouldn't be too bad..
For that reason I was a bit adverse to believing whether it would really need one or not, but have since then been thinking that it could help with how I constantly run into the problem of trying to balance normal and hard as is. Also since I wanted this map to be accessible to all players from it's conception beginner that not having a good diff for those between normal and hard would be a shame.

Small story: I'd map hard the way I want it to be, it ends up too hard of a jump from normal, nuke it a bit, unhappy with it, remap it again, too hard again, and so on. On the other side, trying to make normal harder would always feel awkward and wrong, without making it too hard compared to easy. X_X

Spoiler I dont map anything other than Extra diffs so judging anything else is kinda ehh for me. Loads of posts as well so this'll probably be a bunch of personal suggestions rather than issues.

oko's Extra

  1. 00:13:841 (9,1) - While this makes perfect sense in how you've mapped it, I fear for several reasons this could be ever so slightly misleading. Comparing 00:13:584 (8) - with 00:12:898 (3) - Which are both the same sound you'd assume this early in the song (Since the player has yet to play it) They would both have the 1/4 gap in between. Yet the second obviously doesn't, so possible misread. Easy solution either give some space between 00:13:841 (9,1) - Or just move them both closer to 00:13:584 (8) - Or have said slider lead a little cleaner into it. Obviously this wont apply to any other cases of this since the player is ready for it then.
  2. 00:23:355 (12) - This slider in particular feels slightly jarring to me. Going from horizontal movement on the previous 3 to a vertical spike puts a lot of "forced momentum" I guess on the player, and since this particular jump is pretty small you have to halt your speed or move much slower than you expect. Id give it a bit more spacing or adjust the angle.
  3. 00:46:669 (1,2) - Weirdish transition, 1 doesnt flow well into the 2. 00:24:726 (1,2) - This was much better.
  4. 00:47:355 (3,4,5,6,7) - OCD triggered. Pattern is noticeably off because 00:47:355 (3,4,5) - Arent evenly spaced along with 00:47:526 (4,6,7) -
  5. 00:48:555 (2,3) - So due to the counterclockwise movement of previous notes, I would have expected this to be a little lower down, since right now you have to pull out of it a little too much. Tad strange.
  6. 01:01:241 (3) - This really needs a bit more emphasis.
  7. 01:45:126 (3) - Same here.

oko's Another

  1. Strange how this is the same AR as the extra. AR9 is fine.
  2. 00:33:812 (8,9,10) - 9 > 8 > 10 makes for a smoother pattern and leads from the previous slider better.
  3. 00:47:012 (2,3) - Slightly misleading as a 1/4 gap. The previous instance of this was also much more spaced so its a bit inconsistent.
  4. 01:12:726 (4) - Not too sure about this linear flow. Something like https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/6316928 Could work nicely.
Perfectly fine diff as is.

oko's Insane

  1. 00:51:298 (2,3) - This really doesnt matter at all but my OCD once again triggered that these arent perfectly overlapped.
  2. 02:00:555 (5,6,1) - Auto stacking makes this a little difficult to see for an insane diff.
Again, nothing wrong. I cant even find personal opinions.

So, this isnt just me being lazy but I honestly cant find anything in the lower diffs. They seem perfectly fine to me, and anything I pointed out for the higher ones doesnt even matter that much. Set is perfectly rankable.

Also if anyone wants to complain about the spread, they're stupid. =w=
Cryptic
Similar to what Kocari had said, an Advanced is missing in the spread most likely (as well as the Insane possibly needing a light buff). I'll be modding Oko's diffs after Fetish's mod is looked at and applied (if Oko choose to do so).

[Beginner]
  1. Not really a big fan of this difficulty. In my opinion it either needs to be remapped entirely or removed. I'll quickly go over why. For super easy difficulties such as this, the player will be heavily relying on the slider velocity speed and adjusting their playing to fit that. Here, you use a SV of .6 (which is about average for diffs like this) but you use a DS of .6 . This is where the issue lies, as the notes will be closer than what the player will intuitively expect and therefore they may hit the note early. Using a DS of 1 or slightly higher (1.1 or 1.2) is recommended for difficulties like this as all movements are about the same. This is really evident in places like 01:10:155 (2,3) - here where you complete the slider and theres a noticeable stop which is really jarring visually and play-ually (yes I made that up). Overall, if you really want a beginner, I highly recommend looking at the following difficulties to get a better idea of how yours should be made:
    https://osu.ppy.sh/b/838742&m=0
    https://osu.ppy.sh/b/722514&m=0
In conclusion, I'd say that my opinion of this is a bit harsher than most, but if you want to do an incredibly easy difficulty you have to be very particular with SV and DS. Overall, if you want to choose between remapping/fixing the Beginner or making the Advanced, choose making an Advanced.
[Easy]
  1. A similar problem is on the easy but its less noticeable so we'll ignore it.
  2. 00:32:441 (2,3) - Polish this blanket.
  3. 01:29:355 (1,2,3,1,2,3) - Polish the flow here. What I mean by that is 01:29:355 (1,2) - Currently 1 does not flow directly into 2, let alone 2>3. Change the positioning of 1's slider tail to flow into 2,3 like you have it done here 01:32:098 (1,2,3) - . Next, make sure that 01:30:726 (2,3,1) - flows properly into 1. Right now, the curve flows partially opposite to where the circles are coming from. If I need to clarify anything about this, ask me.
[Normal]
  1. 00:06:726 (6) - This feels super out of place.
  2. 00:21:469 (2,3) - Fix DS.
  3. 01:36:898 (6,1) - DS?
  4. 01:49:241 (3,4) - DS?
  5. So on the Easy I mentioned polishing the flow. Well this map has a lot of issues with flow/direction (00:23:526 (1,2,3) - 00:24:898 (3,4,1) - 00:30:384 (3,4,1) - 00:45:469 (1,2,3) - 01:05:355 (3,4,5) - 01:11:526 (3,4,5,6,1) - 01:51:298 (1,2,3) - 01:53:698 (4,1) - 01:57:812 (3,4,1) - 02:07:069 (6,7,1) - ). If this was a Hard or Advanced I think I'd let a lot of this slide, but I'd recommend doing some self-modding here before you get me to fully check (or get some experienced Normal modders). Easier ones to change would be 00:29:698 (2) - tilting this -10 deg or so, 00:32:441 (2) - same here, maybe a bit more deg. I don't know, overall the map doesn't need to be remapped, but it can definitely be more polished.
[Hard]
  1. 00:09:812 (1,2,3,4,5,6) - Why stacked?
  2. 00:11:184 (1,1,2) - I would end the spinner earlier so you can have two sliders, otherwise it just feels weird.
  3. 01:07:412 (1,2,3,4,5) - For the kiai, this pattern feels really cramped, especially the 4,5. CTRL+Ging the 5 would be nice but you don't really do any decently large jumps so that wouldn't work.
  4. 01:09:126 (3,4,5) - I get the concept here, but it feels kind of clunky. I'd change 5's shape to flow better out of the jumps rather than mimicking the jumps.
  5. 01:30:041 (3) - Rotate this in place slightly to flow better, remember what I've mentioned above.
  6. 01:36:212 (1,2,3) - I can't help but feel this should be a 1/1 slider that ends on the accent their voices hit, that way you can put an actual circle where you have the slider end now.
  7. 01:44:441 (1,2) - I wish this kept the pattern that 01:43:069 (1,2,3,4) - started visually.
  8. 01:51:298 (1,2,3,4,5) - Flipped patterns cause the same problems, look above.
  9. 01:53:012 (3,4,5) - Same thing for flipped sliders.
  10. 01:58:155 (1,2,3,4,5) - I actually like this pattern a lot, good job. It'd be cool to see more stuff like this here and there.
  11. 01:58:841 (5,1) - Recall: Flow
  12. 02:11:184 (3,1) - Recall: Flow
Set is close, but lower diffs still need more polishing from my POV.

The vast majority of them panic on sliders, go faster on sliders, and try to complete sliders as soon as possible. When a slider's speed is slower than or close to the speed between objects, they end up then breaking out of the follow circle because of that. I raised the distance snap to .8 to avoid complete stops between the closer notes in time, but for the reasons I described previously did not raise it to an entire 1.0.

Er, some of the links were a bit confusing as to how their flow would need polishing, but will revise this difficulty as best I can.
[Hard]
  1. 00:09:812 (1,2,3,4,5,6) - Why stacked? To pair the sounds I think should be paired rather than have a massive line of equal-importance circles.
  2. 00:11:184 (1,1,2) - I would end the spinner earlier so you can have two sliders, otherwise it just feels weird. Ok
  3. 01:07:412 (1,2,3,4,5) - For the kiai, this pattern feels really cramped, especially the 4,5. CTRL+Ging the 5 would be nice but you don't really do any decently large jumps so that wouldn't work. I'll consider changing it, but I think it is fine as it is and not ..really cramped. no change for now..
  4. 01:09:126 (3,4,5) - I get the concept here, but it feels kind of clunky. I'd change 5's shape to flow better out of the jumps rather than mimicking the jumps. I do not understand how this would feel clunky, so not sure how to change if I even would. No change.
  5. 01:30:041 (3) - Rotate this in place slightly to flow better, remember what I've mentioned above. Moved (1,2) instead because I think rotating 3 would make how it leads into the next combo awkward.
  6. 01:36:212 (1,2,3) - I can't help but feel this should be a 1/1 slider that ends on the accent their voices hit, that way you can put an actual circle where you have the slider end now. I think this is one of the weirdest held vocals in the song, and that it sounds really really really really weird to end the slider at the white tick, because the hold is still going. No change.
  7. 01:44:441 (1,2) - I wish this kept the pattern that 01:43:069 (1,2,3,4) - started visually. err, not entirely sure what you meant, but tried to change.
  8. 01:51:298 (1,2,3,4,5) - Flipped patterns cause the same problems, look above. Same thing.. will consider.
  9. 01:53:012 (3,4,5) - Same thing for flipped sliders. Now I'm especially confused, because the way it interacts with the patterns around it is totally different. No change ;;
  10. 01:58:155 (1,2,3,4,5) - I actually like this pattern a lot, good job. It'd be cool to see more stuff like this here and there. hmm...
  11. 01:58:841 (5,1) - Recall: Flow Will think about this.
  12. 02:11:184 (3,1) - Recall: Flow In this case, I don't see why that should need to be changed, as it is going nearly straight down, where the next pattern goes nearly straight up, and their voices have enough of a pluck at the start of the next combo I feel to warrant that directional change.
Set is close, but lower diffs still need more polishing from my POV.

im feeling extremely yellow, my dear buddy'ol'pal

im gonna tear this map a new sliderhole. (visually)

Beginner

00:01:584 (1) - center the curve's sliderpoint. its ruining the curve of the slider. http://puu.sh/saLyh/2e11dbe926.jpg
00:04:326 (2) - i cant help but feel like this note this out of place. well, comparing it to 00:01:584 (1) - , you might wanna go with something more similar. maybe a straight slider http://puu.sh/saLHz/35f73eb507.jpg (to imitate the previous slider's straight drop would feel more suitable? fix any distancing issues that may arise.
00:18:041 (1) - imo using a wider curve looks weird and bad. try condensing it. http://puu.sh/saLTe/3fff866b42.jpg Bonus points if you manage to blanket the sliderend with 00:15:298 (2) -
00:20:784 (2) - a straight slider should do nicely. looks less confusing and is more pleasing to look at http://puu.sh/saM9x/dee089dc12.jpg

heres a pro tip for ya. for beginner diffs, stick to simple shapes. like, easy to understand, simple shapes. keep slider variety to a minimum, like 3 at max (excl. mirror sliders). dont startle the new players with stuff like slider art. that stuff is reserved to the higher difficulties (hard+).

tbh, im questioning on whether or not you actually need the beginner diff. i mean, first time players would be able to clear Easy no problemo. i can testify to playing maps of this level when i was starting and playing them with average score. if you want to keep this vid, pm me and maybe we can IRC mod this together. because most of the issues in here are relating to slider usage and its super hard to explain that on text without someone (the mapper) to talk to.

ill just move on to the next diff because most of what i wanted to say for this mod was already stated over on the pro tip section.

Easy

00:01:584 (1,2) - methinks that having super slanted sliders are ugly :c. heres a better suggestion! http://puu.sh/saMDV/b0c88b2860.jpg curve sliders are cute and easy to look at; a better alternative which isnt too different to play!

00:02:955 (2,1) - blanket whenever possible. they look good yo. but if blanketting isnt your intention, then make sure that said notes look less blanket ready. *http://puu.sh/saMI9/77bc2d2347.jpg, although i recommend the blanket.
*http://puu.sh/saMLq/715cb0dd75.jpg see? doesnt this look pretty?

00:15:298 (1,3) - applies the same way~. blanket whenever possible! half-done blankets look weird and should be removed!

00:16:669 (3) - why is this slider slanted tho? this looks better dont you think? http://puu.sh/saN7w/36f4e1b118.jpg
00:18:041 (1,2,3) - if you apply the mod on top, ill help you fix this one. try doing this http://puu.sh/saNfT/86694aca61.jpg and see if you like em. i condensed the notes for visibility. http://puu.sh/saNj4/ae33edeea0.jpg

00:20:784 (1,3) - now same question; why is this slider slanted? just keep it nice and curved without slanting it too much. try doing this http://puu.sh/saNml/88de207d4b.jpg

00:23:526 (1,2,3) - you can fix these notes easy, but lets see you try. my suggestion is doing this tho http://puu.sh/saNw2/ddfcd6c9ed.jpg. just stack the sliderend of the straight slider to the sliderhead of 00:27:641 -

00:49:584 (3) - lolol whats up with this slider? just go with a regular curve. dont feel obligated to do fancy stuff on a song that clearly sounds simple. thats like putting a top hat on a chef. its a hat that belongs on a head, but not this head. same with the slider, its a slider that belongs on a map, but not this map. hope you understood that xd

00:56:441 (1,2) - same with the beginning. curving this makes it look better!
01:01:926 (1,2) - ^

01:04:669 (1,1) - make that sliderblanket better yo!
01:04:669 (1) - do you really need to NC this? continuing combo is perfectly fine for me.

01:10:155 (1) - im not to say here, but you can either change this slider to a regular curve, or hook the second portion of the slider to make the movement to the next note more intuitive (obvious). http://puu.sh/saNTr/b9b7b2e3b4.jpg

01:15:641 (1,2) - use the same slider yo. i dont see why not? xd actually looks better ya know.

01:18:041 (3) - try curving it. might actually look better somehow. what do you think? http://puu.sh/saNXb/903e759b63.jpg

01:27:984 - lolol whyd you delay the breaktime (end)? you dont need to do that. looks weird rn. set it back to normal.

01:33:469 (2,1) - a better blanket is possible.

01:37:584 (3) - i feel like you could improve this section. dont go with a 2/1 slider. feels lazy imo. instead, go with a 1/1+2 circle http://puu.sh/saObt/0c545e9dbb.jpg try adding a straight slider facing top http://puu.sh/saOcn/fd34966de3.jpg. might work for you. remember; dont make the slider too slanted!

01:50:612 (2,1) - i feel like you could make these enter more smoothly. rn it looks super forced. dont delete the curve slider tho, youll need that for the next mod. for starters, why dont we perfectly align these together? http://puu.sh/saOpz/becd72e152.jpg

01:54:041 (1) - this sound is identical to 01:51:298 (1) - no? but copy pasting it as is makes it look weird! lets rotate it 45 degrees anticlockwise. http://puu.sh/saOCp/dde13ba9bf.jpg now it looks better!

01:54:041 (1,2,3,1) - but now this place looks all broken! heres my suggested fix. i condensed the objects so that you can see everything in one screen. http://puu.sh/saONr/9592be656e.jpg (the blank note represents the next note after the slider)

fix any broken spacing issues.

02:06:384 (2,3,1) - try to have these swing a bit more. as in, lower [3] and bump up [1]. http://puu.sh/saOUI/56c27474c4.jpg it looks better right? i call this slider entry. seems like only i use it, but its a term that helps me explain on how to make sliders more intuitive (obvious).

Normal

00:59:184 (1,2,3,4) - maybe do this? it looks more organized this way. condensed for easier viewing; http://puu.sh/sgw4S/cba33dee96.jpg 00:59:184 (1,2,3) - mostly coz the visual distance is wonky lol http://puu.sh/sgw6j/92aa7c2739.jpg

01:34:841 (1,2,3) - same as above. just stack [3] with 01:34:155 (4) - . fix any spacing issues.

nothing wrong with this one i think

Hard
00:11:184 (1,1) - nice spinner gap? idk about this one. pls confirm coz id usually use this gap on insane+

01:08:441 (5) - with hard diffs, we can be more risky with the gameplay. ctrl g this to give a bit of challenge + emphasis to 01:08:784 (1) -

01:45:641 - dont ignore this :c theres a strong sound/vocal here.

01:46:841 - this part, 01:47:012 - since this part is weaker in emphasis than this 01:47:184 - why not stack it? the real pattern starts in 01:47:184 - anyway. http://puu.sh/sgwvx/9b6105a051.jpg

01:58:497 (3,4) - ctrl g. i think this should play a bit more rougher. a zigzag would work well imo

fin.

i like the normal+ diffs. only ez was a rek ;p

Beginner

00:01:584 (1) - center the curve's sliderpoint. its ruining the curve of the slider. http://puu.sh/saLyh/2e11dbe926.jpg Changed~
That's a very nice idea, changed and moved pattern slightly for distance snappu, also changed the shape of 00:07:069 (1) - for flow yeah
00:18:041 (1) - imo using a wider curve looks weird and bad. try condensing it. http://puu.sh/saLTe/3fff866b42.jpg Bonus points if you manage to blanket the sliderend with 00:15:298 (2) - I condensed it a little, but not as much as suggested, since I think that'd be out of place with the amount of curve generally used in this map/set.
00:20:784 (2) - a straight slider should do nicely. looks less confusing and is more pleasing to look at http://puu.sh/saM9x/dee089dc12.jpg I changed this to make it more straightfoward, but not as a straight slider. It's instead a bird now~

heres a pro tip for ya. for beginner diffs, stick to simple shapes. like, easy to understand, simple shapes. keep slider variety to a minimum, like 3 at max (excl. mirror sliders). dont startle the new players with stuff like slider art. that stuff is reserved to the higher difficulties (hard+).

ill just move on to the next diff because most of what i wanted to say for this mod was already stated over on the pro tip section. I applied mostly what you said here, and changed a couple (literally 2) other things in this difficulty, since I'd like to talk about you with it in IRC when the chance appears first. Especially since, the majority of specially shaped sliders are for either a.) YELLOW YELLOW during the kiai and b.)the end of a section, and I want to keep that concept in general, but if there are ways to make it look better while still having special shapes for those portions then I'll definitely change it.

Easy

00:01:584 (1,2) - methinks that having super slanted sliders are ugly :c. heres a better suggestion! http://puu.sh/saMDV/b0c88b2860.jpg curve sliders are cute and easy to look at; a better alternative which isnt too different to play! I'll keep this in consideration, and ask others about it if I can, but personally don't find slanted sliders like these to be ugly vs. too many curves in a row to sometimes be x_x. So no change for now.

00:02:955 (2,1) - blanket whenever possible. they look good yo. but if blanketting isnt your intention, then make sure that said notes look less blanket ready. Instead of blanketing, I've moved this to the left to look less blanket ready, as I'd want this to beginning section to have very simple straightforward movements which a blanket would interfere with ever so slightly enough to be :C*http://puu.sh/saMI9/77bc2d2347.jpg, although i recommend the blanket.
*http://puu.sh/saMLq/715cb0dd75.jpg see? doesnt this look pretty?

00:15:298 (1,3) - applies the same way~. blanket whenever possible! half-done blankets look weird and should be removed! Not applied due to changing some according to the below.

00:16:669 (3) - why is this slider slanted tho? this looks better dont you think? http://puu.sh/saN7w/36f4e1b118.jpg Changed to be less slanted, but not entirely, as it flows better into the next part of the pattern this way.
00:18:041 (1,2,3) - if you apply the mod on top, ill help you fix this one. try doing this http://puu.sh/saNfT/86694aca61.jpg and see if you like em. i condensed the notes for visibility. http://puu.sh/saNj4/ae33edeea0.jpg Mostly changed this as suggested~

00:20:784 (1,3) - now same question; why is this slider slanted? just keep it nice and curved without slanting it too much. try doing this http://puu.sh/saNml/88de207d4b.jpg I ended up changing it while applying the above, it's not as suggested, but now it's mostly straight + curve.

00:23:526 (1,2,3) - you can fix these notes easy, but lets see you try. my suggestion is doing this tho http://puu.sh/saNw2/ddfcd6c9ed.jpg. just stack the sliderend of the straight slider to the sliderhead of 00:27:641 - The way I changed the above meant this is not needed to be fixed, unless you were suggesting it for another reason.

00:49:584 (3) - lolol whats up with this slider? just go with a regular curve. dont feel obligated to do fancy stuff on a song that clearly sounds simple. thats like putting a top hat on a chef. its a hat that belongs on a head, but not this head. same with the slider, its a slider that belongs on a map, but not this map. hope you understood that xd I think I understand, but would like to keep it this way for 00:48:212 (1,2,3) - to feel similar to 00:26:269 (1,2,3) - in that you have two nice innocent circles and then a slider that makes you move a bit out of the ordinary in comparison. I'll try to (honest to goodness) think of another way to accomplish that without just copying the first pattern besides this, but (overall) I think it's good as is.

00:56:441 (1,2) - same with the beginning. curving this makes it look better!
01:01:926 (1,2) - ^ ^ same reply as beginning for these two for now then

01:04:669 (1,1) - make that sliderblanket better yo! Fixed, I think, probably.
01:04:669 (1) - do you really need to NC this? continuing combo is perfectly fine for me. Well the entire diff is NC'd every other bar.. it'd be kind of inconsistent to randomly not do so for here

01:10:155 (1) - im not to say here, but you can either change this slider to a regular curve, or hook the second portion of the slider to make the movement to the next note more intuitive (obvious). http://puu.sh/saNTr/b9b7b2e3b4.jpg I moved this and the objects before and after a bit for hopefully more obvious movement, but did not do the suggested shape because a.) eeek, it's a bit out of place and b.)I did not simply curve it because the way the pattern is currently set up, there isn't a good way to do so that I can figure out that doesn't make the movement less intuitive.

01:15:641 (1,2) - use the same slider yo. i dont see why not? xd actually looks better ya know. Changed as suggested

01:18:041 (3) - try curving it. might actually look better somehow. what do you think? http://puu.sh/saNXb/903e759b63.jpg No change, I think here, having it straight helps emphasize the finality of it/the cymbal whoo-shiwaaw

01:27:984 - lolol whyd you delay the breaktime (end)? you dont need to do that. looks weird rn. set it back to normal. This is legitimately happening in all of my maps randomly and I have no clue why :< fixed probably

01:33:469 (2,1) - a better blanket is possible. Fixed I think probably.

01:37:584 (3) - i feel like you could improve this section. dont go with a 2/1 slider. feels lazy imo. instead, go with a 1/1+2 circle
http://puu.sh/saObt/0c545e9dbb.jpg try adding a straight slider facing top http://puu.sh/saOcn/fd34966de3.jpg. might work for you. remember; dont make the slider too slanted! Changed rhythm as suggested, but opted for a curved slider instead since straight here would require the next note not to come out of it but to be to the side due to how close it is to the top which is a bit hmm

01:50:612 (2,1) - i feel like you could make these enter more smoothly. rn it looks super forced. dont delete the curve slider tho, youll need that for the next mod. for starters, why dont we perfectly align these together? http://puu.sh/saOpz/becd72e152.jpg I tried to change it a wee bit, but didn't apply the suggestion to align them perfectly because the slider goes slightly upwards which would.. I think.. look very odd to be that way instead of the slider being slightly higher than the circle so that it leads into the slider's shape.

01:54:041 (1) - this sound is identical to 01:51:298 (1) - no? but copy pasting it as is makes it look weird! lets rotate it 45 degrees anticlockwise. http://puu.sh/saOCp/dde13ba9bf.jpg now it looks better! Changed mostly as suggested~

01:54:041 (1,2,3,1) - but now this place looks all broken! heres my suggested fix. i condensed the objects so that you can see everything in one screen. http://puu.sh/saONr/9592be656e.jpg (the blank note represents the next note after the slider) Changed mostly as suggested except kept 01:56:784 (1) - straight yes.

fix any broken spacing issues. always

Changed just as suggested

ill continue this mod on a later date;

to be continued: Normal -->Good luck it's technically the oldest diff of mine but I can't find anything when self-modding :< Advanced --> Good luck it's the newest diff so I still like it too much to be able to self-mod it :> hard Good luck in general

01:34:841 (1,2,3) - same as above. just stack [3] with 01:34:155 (4) - . fix any spacing issues. It ended up taking a bit more than a stack to make it fully proper but done did

nothing wrong with this one i think !!!

Hard
00:11:184 (1,1) - nice spinner gap? idk about this one. pls confirm coz id usually use this gap on insane+ I'm pretty sure it's alright, it fits with the overall difficulty of this hard, which is a bit in the higher levels of what's considered a hard already. also this dinosaur that was freshly born when I first made this set orzzz

01:08:441 (5) - with hard diffs, we can be more risky with the gameplay. ctrl g this to give a bit of challenge + emphasis to 01:08:784 (1) - Not too sure about this one to be honest, will have to think about it.

01:45:641 - dont ignore this :c theres a strong sound/vocal here. 01:01:755 - same thing happens here, but the singing is so weirdly high pitched right here and there that it feels wrong to click to, in my opinion :< (also because 5 circles in a row is a terror that I was iffy about putting in even at 01:47:012 (1) -

01:46:841 - this part, 01:47:012 - since this part is weaker in emphasis than this 01:47:184 - why not stack it? the real pattern starts in 01:47:184 - anyway. http://puu.sh/sgwvx/9b6105a051.jpg Aaah, I get what you mean, but I think that stacking in this map would be an emhpasis itself since I so rarely stack one note after the other, and I absolutely don't want to ruin the symmetries that are painstakingly dsed and everything, and that the current way is the best to keep it from being emphasized because it's just sorta.. there. in the middle. there. nothing special about it.

01:58:497 (3,4) - ctrl g. i think this should play a bit more rougher. a zigzag would work well imo That works quite well overall. Done~

HELLO, from my Queue
omg so many diffs

[General]
  1. check the wildscreen be consistent in every diff
  2. the BG is very colorful and bright, I sincerely recommend changing all combo colors to this for player
    (please avoid yellow & green)

[Hard]
  1. 01:47:012 (6,7) change 2 notes to a slider
[oko's Extra]
  1. 00:46:669 why use this weird DS to overlap 1/2 slider?
check all diffs then don't know what to mod :o

Double checked the widescreen support and fixed that, it was randomly checked on a few diffs.
Those combo colors don't go with the song at all, in my opinion, so no change >_<
..
and, what is that timestamp on hard supposed to be referring to? D: Even before the offset changed it was trying to link me to a non-existent (6,7). Same goes for the point on oko's diff, while it did refer to a 1/2 slider, your point mentions overlap.. when.. it's not overlapping anything?

00:14 Noffy: I'm gonna copy this from the thread
00:14 Cryptic: okoko
00:15 Noffy: cause it's actually all of them (besides the ones in the kiais since those sections were mostly rearranged as I removed the sv multiplier)
00:15 Noffy: 00:23:526 (1,2,3) - 00:24:898 (3,4,1) - 00:30:384 (3,4,1) - 00:45:469 (1,2,3) - 01:05:355 (3,4,5)
00:16 Noffy: 00:24:898 (3,4,1) - this one I kind of see what you mean, but the rest are ><?
00:16 Cryptic: 00:23:526 (1,2,3) - okay so the issue here is that you're basically having the player go directly horizontal, up and down, and then directly horizontal again. Typically patterns like this are arranged so that the kick is placed above/below the beginning and ending objects so that it can better lead into it
00:16 Cryptic: For example
00:17 *Cryptic is editing [http://osu.ppy.sh/b/783429 Sigma ft. Paloma Faith - Changing [Normal]]
00:17 Noffy: Huh, I see, but the intent there was that 2 would play more like a hold rather than the player going all the way up and down
00:17 Cryptic: 01:07:197 (3,1,2) -
00:17 Cryptic: like that
00:17 Noffy: Is that not obvious enough at this difficulty level ? ><
00:17 Cryptic: I get the intent, but a new player would still make the mistake
00:17 Cryptic: This normal actually does some stuff I dislike
00:18 Cryptic: but its fairly consistent about it and the way that it presents it doesn't make it overly difficult to figure out
00:18 Cryptic: back to your map
00:19 Noffy: okay
00:19 Cryptic: 00:24:898 (3,4,1) - this isn't a huge issue, just something I personally dislike since it doesn't directly flow into one another. I prepfer linear/circular flow almost exclusively on lower diffs, so I typically try to get mappers to conform ot that standard when I'm modding
00:19 Cryptic: Circular/linear flow is easier to pick up and allows players to more easily transition from easy to normal
00:19 Cryptic: then you can introduce some rougher flows in hards/advanceds
00:19 Cryptic: Its just a personal thing
00:19 Noffy: ah, I see, in that case I'd probably want to keep it, since like 3->4 is a bit harsher to emhpasize the higher pitch
00:19 Noffy: if that makes sense?
00:20 Cryptic: 00:30:384 (3,4,1) - kind of the same thing I mentioned with the repeat arrow. You basically have the four below the curve of the sliders. If you'd map out a path from slider to slider, the four would be below that path and thus not quite fitting.
00:20 Cryptic: Sure, it makes sense.
00:20 Cryptic: 00:45:469 (1,2,3) - same problem as the earlier place
00:20 Cryptic: 01:05:355 (3,4,5,6) - this isn't as large of a problem, but its similar to the whole doesn't flow /as/ well as it could thing
00:21 Cryptic: so yeah
00:21 Cryptic: let me know if you have any additional questions
00:21 Cryptic: also, I'd recommend posting a log of this when you update just to keep a track of changes.
00:21 Noffy: alright, will do!
00:21 Cryptic: Good luck~
00:21 Noffy: Thank you! c:
00:21 Noffy: I think I get it better now what I need to fix c:<
00:22 Cryptic: Cool cool~
00:22 Cryptic: People have told me they don't think your lower diffs don't look too bad
00:22 Cryptic: but IMO they're just unpolished still
00:22 Cryptic: You can tell a lot of it was odne before you had a better grasp on mapping
00:22 Cryptic: and especially on lower diffs, aesthetics are quite important
00:22 Noffy: Normal's my biggest worry
00:22 Cryptic: so I think really nazi'ing this stuff is beneficial for someone in your stage
00:22 Noffy: cause it was the only one that wasn't massively changed/remapped prior to reviving the set
00:23 Cryptic: yeah
00:23 Cryptic: tbh, I'd still remap just because ugly af aesethtis in some places
00:23 Cryptic: but the entier thing isn't ugly
00:23 Cryptic: its like
00:23 Cryptic: fiddy fiddy
00:23 Noffy: which was because I didn't see anything wrong with it like I did other diffs
00:23 Noffy: oo I see
00:24 Noffy: will try to fix up there and there then
00:24 Noffy: thanku again
00:24 Noffy: !
00:24 Cryptic: np~

00:22:420 (1,2,3) - Changed this slightly, mostly as suggested. However, I did not make it too different as I still want this to be mostly straight, and while I think the example you gave me for the other map works, it's not quite what I was going for here.
00:23:792 (3,4,1) - No change, this is done intentionally to emphasize the final note in the bar.
00:29:278 (3,4,1) - No change for the same reason as above. In previous cases, 00:23:792 (3,4) - 00:26:535 (3,4) - the last note was blanketed, and had to change direction to be hit. This case, it roughly comes more out of the slider, so it is intentionally placed a bit out of the obvious path to achieve the same effect.
00:44:363 (1,2,3) - Changed this a bit as suggested, same as last accepted point in this box.
01:04:249 (3,4,5) - 01:03:563 (1,2,3) - Changed this pattern cause it was ugly, so now 3>4 goes more smoothly. The rest however was not changed, I do not see anything else wrong with this flow here.

Self changes for the record:
00:00:478 (1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4,5,6,1,2,3,4,5,6) - revised this section slightly so that 00:03:220 (1,2,3,4,5,6) - doesn't look awful
00:16:935 (1,2) - Made the waves less intense.
01:47:449 (1,2,3) - Changed this to be similar to how I changed 01:03:563 (1,2,3) -
00:49:849 (1,2,3) - Revised slightly so that 1>2 would look cleaner, and 2>3 play better.
01:33:735 (1,2,3,4) - Removed the 1/2s they weren't all that great
01:48:820 (4,5,6) - Revised so it wouldn't look and play gross

Also changed mp3

Look here, it fit(s) very well! → 00:30:992 (2,3,4) -
  2. 00:20:363 (4) - Why you didn't NC here, but you did on the previous slider 00:19:678 (1) - but it's the the same sound *cry*
  3. 00:28:249 (2,4) - You should rework a bit the blanket here
  4. 00:50:192 (2,3) - In my opinion, this part isn't really nice, because it's like an overleap between those two sliders, and I don't think that it's the good thing to do, but it's up to you :D
  5. 01:00:820 (1) - I would change the side of this slider, like this https://puu.sh/riKCm/e3ae4f7511.png and then the flow can be more good imo.
  6. 01:09:735 (3,4) - The flow here is quite strange, I think the problem is from the second slider pwp

  1. 00:12:735 (9,1) - While this makes perfect sense in how you've mapped it, I fear for several reasons this could be ever so slightly misleading. Comparing 00:12:478 (8) - with 00:11:792 (3) - Which are both the same sound you'd assume this early in the song (Since the player has yet to play it) They would both have the 1/4 gap in between. Yet the second obviously doesn't, so possible misread. Easy solution either give some space between 00:12:735 (9,1) - Or just move them both closer to 00:12:478 (8) - Or have said slider lead a little cleaner into it. Obviously this wont apply to any other cases of this since the player is ready for it then.
  2. 00:22:249 (12) - This slider in particular feels slightly jarring to me. Going from horizontal movement on the previous 3 to a vertical spike puts a lot of "forced momentum" I guess on the player, and since this particular jump is pretty small you have to halt your speed or move much slower than you expect. Id give it a bit more spacing or adjust the angle.
  3. 00:45:563 (1,2) - Weirdish transition, 1 doesnt flow well into the 2. 00:23:620 (1,2) - This was much better.
  4. 00:46:249 (3,4,5,6,7) - OCD triggered. Pattern is noticeably off because 00:46:249 (3,4,5) - Arent evenly spaced along with 00:46:420 (4,6,7) -
  5. 00:47:449 (2,3) - So due to the counterclockwise movement of previous notes, I would have expected this to be a little lower down, since right now you have to pull out of it a little too much. Tad strange.
  6. 01:00:135 (3) - This really needs a bit more emphasis.
  7. 01:44:020 (3) - Same here.

  1. Strange how this is the same AR as the extra. AR9 is fine.
  2. 00:32:706 (8,9,10) - 9 > 8 > 10 makes for a smoother pattern and leads from the previous slider better.
  3. 00:45:906 (2,3) - Slightly misleading as a 1/4 gap. The previous instance of this was also much more spaced so its a bit inconsistent.
  4. 01:11:620 (4) - Not too sure about this linear flow. Something like https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/6316928 Could work nicely.
Perfectly fine diff as is.

  1. 00:50:192 (2,3) - This really doesnt matter at all but my OCD once again triggered that these arent perfectly overlapped.
  2. 01:59:449 (5,6,1) - Auto stacking makes this a little difficult to see for an insane diff.

  6. 01:09:735 (3,4) - The flow here is quite strange, I think the problem is from the second slider pwp it's just linear flow, it's used a ton in this diff so if you can play the rest of it just fine i don't see the issue lol

00:58:078 (1,2,3) - all circles? Differentiate it from 00:55:335 (1,2)
02:10:764 (3) - it can look better?

Normal

00:29:278 (3,1) - why the sudden drum finishes?
00:55:335 (1) - hitsounds to go with the cymbals in the song?
01:06:992 (2) - isn't this repeat slider in an odd position? Especially with it ending on a pretty strong beat
01:36:992 - something to add here? Given how the start of this section had 1/2 beats but then they stopped, and then even when the beat starts picking up here with the 1/2 in the music it's still in 1/1s. Think 01:47:962 (2)

Advanced

Positioning seems a bit awkward, especially those 1/2s, the angles seem rigid. Though some keep up with pattern, there are those that either move in a rigid manner or the pattern seems imbalanced; 00:12:820 (1,2,3,4) - 00:18:306 (1,2,3,4)

00:58:078 (1,2,3) - all circles? Differentiate it from 00:55:335 (1,2) Changed, as that makes a lot of sense, and makes some nice patterning, though I'm not 100% confident in it since that makes this the most circle heavy part of easy besides the very end 02:08:021 (2,3,1,2) - , even though it also balances out with other difficulties since these sections are some of the hardest in them\\,.,.
02:10:764 (3) - it can look better? This is currently nearly exactly a fibonacci curve which I think looks pretty neat so unless you mean making it 1:1 perfect fibonacci I'm not sure what you mean. This is also similar to the spirals on normal/advanced and the very-vaguely suggested one on hard, so I'd be against removing the spiral on easy entirely...

Normal

00:29:278 (3,1) - why the sudden drum finishes? your guess is as good as mine :( removed
00:55:335 (1) - hitsounds to go with the cymbals in the song? fixed that !><
01:06:992 (2) - isn't this repeat slider in an odd position? Especially with it ending on a pretty strong beat It was meant to go with the sorosoro but I see what you mean, fixed this and 01:50:192 - to be similar to like 01:11:792 (1,2,3,4,5) -
01:36:992 - something to add here? Given how the start of this section had 1/2 beats but then they stopped, and then even when the beat starts picking up here with the 1/2 in the music it's still in 1/1s. Think 01:47:962 (2) Added a 1/2 / changed positions a bit for it to look nice

Advanced

Positioning seems a bit awkward, especially those 1/2s, the angles seem rigid. Though some keep up with pattern, there are those that either move in a rigid manner or the pattern seems imbalanced; 00:12:820 (1,2,3,4) - 00:18:306 (1,2,3,4) Unsure to what extent you're referring to this in the map, as there are quite a few rigid patterns, that I'm aware of, but they're all intentional, done as part of what sets this difficulty apart, and I'm not sure what is/isn't being seen as a problem here. Especially with the 1/2s in the section at 00:11:449 - which was done this way to carry the same idea as the triangles in hard did. ><! 00:12:820 (1,2,3,4) - changed this so it's more balanced on its axis , and closed the angle for 00:18:306 (1,2,3,4) - some though.
00:30:649 (1,2,3) - 100% sure the claps are where they are supposed to be? It differs from 00:52:592 (1,2,3) - as well added missing claps at 00:31:506 - , 00:52:763 - , 00:53:449 -
01:00:135 (3) - highest point in the phrase of 00:58:078 (1,2,3,4,1,2,3) - but it's: lowest object on the map, 1/1 slider, kinda underwhelming. As such, consider 01:44:020 (3) - as well That's exactly why I had it as a 1/1 slider, as how I see it it's going like, 1,2, 1,2, 1,2, OOOONEEE, like it's building up tension before that final held-ish release, and that having it as two 1/2 sliders or some combination of circles and 1/2 slider similar to the rest took away from that distinction.

Hard

00:29:106 (1,2,3,4) - This pattern could be neater I'm not sure exactly of what you mean by neater, if that's referring to the pattern's concept overall or how it's done, so for now I fixed it so that the angles for 00:29:106 (1,4) - match and that the spacing between 00:29:106 (1,2) - and 00:29:449 (2,4) - match.
00:30:649 (1,2,3,4) - similar music to 00:52:592 (1,2,3) - but different hitsounds again? added missing drum clap at 00:52:763 -
01:07:335 (5,4) - they don't stack anyway lol wh a t th e heck (fixed)
01:44:020 (3) - I have the same opinion for this as in Advanced same response
01:45:906 (1,2,3) - hold with the vocals? Having 1/2 circles seem overkill I'm a bit unsure about this as it means breaking the symmetry a bit, but overall it fits better so.. changed~
01:57:049 (1,2,3,4,5) - the circles 01:57:049 (1,2,3) go in a direction and pattern but then 01:57:392 (3,4,5) doesn't connect well with the previous pattern I've switched 3 and 4, as even though it looks the same it plays more smoothly while still retaining the sharp movement to four.gif

Yuii-
2 years later... worth the wait?

beginner

i have said this many times, but beginner difficulties should be used when the easy difficulties are on the edge of being called "normal" difficulties. you'll mostly see 'beginner' difficulties on high bpm maps because they need to handle more rhythm simplification than easies. in this case, yellow trick has a very, very simple easy difficulty, so having a difficulty filled with 4/1 slider patterns isn't precissely correct to have in the ranking section :(

easy

this difficulty is actually very well done, i like it a lot. although i am not really liking the spacing it has... high sv combined with low spacing is very tedious to play: you have to move 'relatively fast' during sliders but then slow down to hit the next objects. while you can still argue that they create a more 'comfortable' flow for newbies as it allows them to properly positionate their cursors in order to hit the next object. issues comes into play when there is so much lost momentum on these patterns that it just feels uncomfortable to play them.
let me just point out some things anyway!

00:48:478 (3) - i absolutely know how much you like these sliders, but it just stands out with the rest too much. if you are going to do sliders with such a shape, you should be using them more regularly; and it doesn't seem like it's the case :(
01:15:907 (2,3) - any reason for these to be splitted into two different objects while 00:32:021 (3) - 02:10:764 (3) - which have (or should be taken as such) a similar connotation are only one single slider?
02:10:764 (3) - also, don't overlap the slider with itself on low difficulties :P

normal

i believe the map could have benefited from a more cleaned structure let's say. wouldn't really say there's a global problem with the difficulty as a whole, but there are some instances where it visually looks like sliders don't flow properly from each other. patterns such as 00:26:535 (3,4,1) - would be more visually appealing if http://i.imgur.com/8OFpLKs.jpg they were done similarly to that. this also happens a lot with the repeaters, like 00:31:335 (2,3) - where the repeater is looking at a complete different direction from the following flow; that creates a different flow from what the (newbie) players are supposed to follow, visually speaking. for instance, arranging (3) and moving it a little bit above would look more pleasant http://i.imgur.com/JZ8YPUa.jpg

00:03:220 (1,2,3,4,5,6) - there seems to be a little problem with the spacing here. only 0.1x, barely noticeable... still would be nice to fix this!
00:11:449 (1) - this is a p huge inconsistency if you ask me, since it's holding the same rhythm as 00:14:192 (1,2) - 00:16:935 (1,2) - 00:19:678 (1,2) - yet it's mapped differently? if anything, 00:16:935 (1,2) - should've been a 1/1 slider + circle too!
00:59:449 (3,4) - for the sake of consistency, these shapes should be different, refer to 00:01:849 (3,4) - for example
01:28:935 (2,3) - 01:30:306 (4,1) - as i mentioned at the very beginning, these seem problematic because the repeat is aiming towards a very different direction from where the next object was placed.
01:37:849 (4) - care with the full whistle :P
01:56:706 (3,4) - rhythm is pretty weird here, as you have been following the vocals throughout the whole difficulty, it'd be actually better if you'd stick to them! so what if you 01:56:363 (2,3) - ctrl+g these?
02:07:678 (3,5) - would be appreciated if these wouldn't overlap!
02:10:763 (3) - same as on easy

advanced

i think you forgot to +1 on the hp... maybe?

00:29:278 (1,2,3,4) - could have a more newbie-friendly approach, to be honest. have you tried http://i.imgur.com/6Z7HNhM.jpg for example? now that i think about it, the rhythm i suggested would be kinda inconsistent with the rest of the map (refer to 00:51:563 (2,3) - for example), yet i would love to see something more visually flowy while keeping a similar idea behind the original pattern. do you think you can give it a try?
01:11:106 (3,4) - minor, but 01:10:420 (1,2) - should be the same when it comes to shape, just compare it with your other difficulties
01:35:106 (1) - any reason for this slider to be different from the rest? variation? problem comes when you are not doing it anywhere else, so it feels inconsistent rather than different, sadly
01:55:678 (1,2) - symmetry here would be nice!

hard

great! a different approach to a hard difficulty, liking it~

00:33:392 (1) - can you avoid the overlap with the red nodes?
01:16:248 (2,3) - only stack in the whole map ouch
01:46:078 - these is no way this isn't getting a clickable object :(
01:57:392 (3,4,5) - this is a very, very harsh movement to do after 01:57:049 (1,2,3) - ... although you could try something slightly different, like http://i.imgur.com/PZBpMgu.jpg for example!

beginner

i have said this many times, but beginner difficulties should be used when the easy difficulties are on the edge of being called "normal" difficulties. you'll mostly see 'beginner' difficulties on high bpm maps because they need to handle more rhythm simplification than easies. in this case, yellow trick has a very, very simple easy difficulty, so having a difficulty filled with 4/1 slider patterns isn't precisely correct to have in the ranking section :( As I've said time and time again, I strongly believe in having a beginner difficulty for those who find even easy a bit too hard. Quite a few such people exist! I've studied them. Like actually studied them, surveyed them, and made a beginner difficulty that is absent as much as possible of what different people may have found difficult or frustrating, while still providing a way for them to get used to osu!'s gameplay. Honestly, I'm not getting rid of it. Rather, I am incredibly frustrated that the majority of those that have told me to get rid of it is because it's unnecessary, rather than offering quality concerns to fix and make it a better difficulty, or better fit with the map's spread. Cause when concerns like that are offered, I have tried to address them as best I can. While it may be seen as unnecessary for how rarely it is useful, I think that having the presence of more difficulties aimed at the newest-of-the-newest players would not do harm to the ranked section overall. I feel that overall there are far too few as it is (though this number of beginner difficulties has definitely improved in the past few years since this set was first published, which I am overjoyed at), and that the world can benefit from at least one more such easyeasyeasy difficulty. It was continually very distressing in the past to try to show others osu but never be able to provide them with a map that they could be able to play decently after the tutorial. So I made a beginner difficulty. It's a small drop in the osu! mapset pond, but it's .. it's something even I could do for what I perceive to be a problem.

easy

this difficulty is actually very well done, i like it a lot. although i am not really liking the spacing it has... high sv combined with low spacing is very tedious to play: you have to move 'relatively fast' during sliders but then slow down to hit the next objects. while you can still argue that they create a more 'comfortable' flow for newbies as it allows them to properly positionate their cursors in order to hit the next object. issues comes into play when there is so much lost momentum on these patterns that it just feels uncomfortable to play them. I had it done this way after observing that a lot of newbies and I mean a lot tend to try to finish sliders too fast, sliderbreaking in the process. So this was done to account for that tendency.
let me just point out some things anyway! okay!

00:48:478 (3) - i absolutely know how much you like these sliders, but it just stands out with the rest too much. if you are going to do sliders with such a shape, you should be using them more regularly; and it doesn't seem like it's the case :( alright, i'll change it >< (annd the one on hard..)
01:15:907 (2,3) - any reason for these to be splitted into two different objects while 00:32:021 (3) - 02:10:764 (3) - which have (or should be taken as such) a similar connotation are only one single slider? between 01:15:907 (2,3) - and 02:10:764 (3) - these are different because at the end of the final kiai, the vocal drags on a bit longer, which is not the case in the first kiai.
02:10:764 (3) - also, don't overlap the slider with itself on low difficulties :P while it does overlap itself, I feel its shape is pretty clear and does not do so in a way that makes its path difficult to follow, even for a beginner, and that forcing it to not overlap itself would not be really possible to do while retaining the intended spiral shape.

normal

i believe the map could have benefited from a more cleaned structure let's say. wouldn't really say there's a global problem with the difficulty as a whole, but there are some instances where it visually looks like sliders don't flow properly from each other. patterns such as 00:26:535 (3,4,1) - would be more visually appealing if http://i.imgur.com/8OFpLKs.jpg they were done similarly to that. this also happens a lot with the repeaters, like 00:31:335 (2,3) - where the repeater is looking at a complete different direction from the following flow; that creates a different flow from what the (newbie) players are supposed to follow, visually speaking. for instance, arranging (3) and moving it a little bit above would look more pleasant http://i.imgur.com/JZ8YPUa.jpg changed a lot of this in a different way! Basically remapped a lot for the part at 11 to 40seconds!

00:03:220 (1,2,3,4,5,6) - there seems to be a little problem with the spacing here. only 0.1x, barely noticeable... still would be nice to fix this! a spacing inconsistency!? fixed
00:59:449 (3,4) - for the sake of consistency, these shapes should be different, refer to 00:01:849 (3,4) - for example > the context of the patterns are totally different. 00:58:078 (1,2,3,4) - are all curved because the combos before and after it are all straight lines, straight sliders. Then 01:41:963 (1,2,3,4) - is straight and curved because the combos before and after are straight and curved. It's done this way partly as balancing the linear aspects of this map with the smooth curviness.
01:28:935 (2,3) - 01:30:306 (4,1) - as i mentioned at the very beginning, these seem problematic because the repeat is aiming towards a very different direction from where the next object was placed. However, I kept this as is as this was actually intentional to divide between the two phrases in the singing by not having the two halves of the pattern fully connected/playing into each other.
01:37:849 (4) - care with the full whistle :P As I explained in PM, I had slider whistles here and in other places on most of my difficulties to go with the whiiish leading into every finish, but as there are only sliders on these sections 50% of the time, removed all of them.
01:56:706 (3,4) - rhythm is pretty weird here, as you have been following the vocals throughout the whole difficulty, it'd be actually better if you'd stick to them! so what if you 01:56:363 (2,3) - ctrl+g these? Ah, shoot. I missed this one. Fixed to be more like the other occurences of patterns involving 1/1 reverses during the kiais.
02:07:678 (3,5) - would be appreciated if these wouldn't overlap! oki, changed sliightly
02:10:763 (3) - same as on easy same

advanced

i think you forgot to +1 on the hp... maybe? maybe... /w\

-though I don't think an advanced difficulty should be too concerned about newbie friendliness (there was already easy and normal, after all), neonat referred to this as well when I managed to get to ask him further about what he said in his mod a few posts above. Changed this pattern accordingly, I think.
01:11:106 (3,4) - minor, but 01:10:420 (1,2) - should be the same when it comes to shape, just compare it with your other difficulties there's a logic here, I swear! so the first kiai is straight+curve, and the second+third kiai are curve for the second, straight for the third. This is different from other difficulties because while it was originally a similar overarching pattern in hard, it was changed as in hard I couldn't find a way to make the straight parts look very good. However, it is still an idea that I wanted to keep someplace in the set.
01:35:106 (1) - any reason for this slider to be different from the rest? variation? problem comes when you are not doing it anywhere else, so it feels inconsistent rather than different, sadly it is like this in advanced and hard as the held note here is odd, a bit longer than most, and I felt stands out quite a bit in the song. This is most obvious when directly comparing it to 01:29:620 (1,2,3) - , where the first syllables are in fact the same- but the ro in kii-ro is at 01:29:963 - whereas in 01:35:106 (1,2) - the syllable after kii is not until 01:35:792 - . I hope this comparison clearly describes the held sound at this point.
01:55:678 (1,2) - symmetry here would be nice! symmetry'd!

hard

great! a different approach to a hard difficulty, liking it~ !

00:33:392 (1) - can you avoid the overlap with the red nodes? I can but I think that'd remove from how it's supposed to look, which is like a loop except without the.. actual.. loop, and that opening it up would be meh.
01:16:248 (2,3) - only stack in the whole map ouch there's actually also 00:09:049 (2,3,4,5) - but yeah i'll change this part a bit!
01:46:078 - these is no way this isn't getting a clickable object :( I'll change it back ):
01:57:392 (3,4,5) - this is a very, very harsh movement to do after 01:57:049 (1,2,3) - ... although you could try something slightly different, like http://i.imgur.com/PZBpMgu.jpg for example! Changed this in a different way than suggested~

Hello, I don't know if you need extra help but I'm here anyway teehee

[Easy]
I think rhythm is fine, there is something probably not worth pointing out but sorry I'm a jerk :(
01:09:050 (1) - 01:52:935 (1) - 02:03:907 (1) - These three represent the similar sound in the music, but only the first one looks special and the only slider to have that shape, I think you can just reshape the first one to a normal curve slider to match the consistency.

[Normal]
00:56:020 (3,1) - I think stack is very slightly off here
01:01:506 (3,1) - Is this intentional? Otherwise I would like to see it stacked normally like the previous one to keep the symmetry
01:28:249 (1,2) - compare it to this 01:29:620 (3,4) - , (1,2) has slight off blanket :P

[Hard]
00:49:163 (4) - Can this repeat slider be straight? To keep the consistency. It's not really a good variation if only one noticable slider stands out
01:05:278 (2) - This slider can be straight too. So you have these 01:03:563 (1,2) - as curve sliders, these 2 01:04:935 (1,2) - can be straight for variation and it will look more consistent on this measure 01:04:935 - as well. In case it ruins your flow or this whole part somehow, just don't apply :(

01:28:249 (1,2,3,1,2,1) - So you have these 2 first measures the same rhythm, then you change rhythm here 01:30:992 (1,2,3) - then change it back again 01:32:363 (1,2,3) - to what you previously have. Well, I don't think it's wrong. Players would expect rhythm changes here 01:32:363 (1,2,3) - but not here 01:32:363 (1,2,3) - again after one measure change. *not very good with explaining but I hope you get what I mean xd*
>> Rhythm you have atm is AABA, I think it's better make it AABB

[oko's another]
00:06:649 (3,1,2) - Nice! looks triggering but no problem lol

[oko's extra]
00:03:906 (3,4,1) - wow such triggering trap.
00:19:849 (2,10) - Do you think you can stack these, I feel like 00:21:735 (9,10) - the angle of these will be improved, somewhat :?

Nothing to say on oko's diffs, beautiful keysounding on this set and looks rankable, good luck!

Because fixing it to make it a better difficulty means to make it more difficult than what it is right now to fit into the song, not just the mapset, which you do not want to do. It shouldn't be a metronome practice for people, because that fits to anything that has a fixed bpm. Rather, some hint of the song should be there. It's unnecessarily distant from the song.

??? I've been trying to work on it since we last spoke ;_;??? Or rather since I remembered that we spoke because I was so tired at the time I near-completely forgot it happened for several days @_@
I don't recall saying I was unwilling to make those changes, just unsure about them? Then again i was really tired maybe i need to re-read the chat log did i accidentally say something that could be interpreted otherwise? ohno This unsureness is why I've changed it multiple times in the past between 4/1 gaps like it is now and 2/1 gaps similar to which you suggested, among other ideas.

As I've said here>

Noffy wrote:

Which is why I contacted you for help, as you are one of the few people that had quality concerns that I could not figure out how to work on at the time, rather than mainly listing the concern as the difficulty's existence itself, which isn't something I can fix without removing it .. which doesn't make it better so much as not exist at all.. And if there's a way I can make it a better difficulty, I want to pursue that ! ! !

I've been trying to implement the exact changes you suggested, but I have been having difficulty in re-arranging re-mapping many of the patterns as simply adding more circles would completely break the flow in the way it is currently made :? And also to try to figure out how to balance adding more 2/1 gaps while still having the kiai be harder without it getting.. too hard.. (I'm not able to get feedback on it from actual newfolk anymore so any change I make is mildly terrifying to my soul... "is this truly beginner friendly" "will this work" "what if it's too hard" such questions fly around in my head ;;) Or even, debate if doing that is really the best way to make it better reflect the song while being easy-easy. I've been trying and experimenting with various possibilities, but haven't had confidence in any, so I've not. Uploaded any...

edit: wtf i didn't mean to press the post button but i accidentally did and now i accidentally double posted shoot .. :(
I'll update after staring at beginner for a few more hours...

[Easy]
I think rhythm is fine, there is something probably not worth pointing out but sorry I'm a jerk :( You come here of your own volition and randomly mod this set out of the goodness of your soul (as far as I can tell!), and then call yourself a jerk?
01:09:050 (1) - 01:52:935 (1) - 02:03:907 (1) - These three represent the similar sound in the music, but only the first one looks special and the only slider to have that shape, I think you can just reshape the first one to a normal curve slider to match the consistency. Ahhh. you're right, changed.

[Normal]
00:56:020 (3,1) - I think stack is very slightly off here oh my, you're right. Fixed.
01:01:506 (3,1) - Is this intentional? Otherwise I would like to see it stacked normally like the previous one to keep the symmetry Well..., no it wasn't intentional. Changed!
01:28:249 (1,2) - compare it to this 01:29:620 (3,4) - , (1,2) has slight off blanket :P Fixed.. I think?

[Hard]
00:49:163 (4) - Can this repeat slider be straight? To keep the consistency. It's not really a good variation if only one noticable slider stands out 00:49:163 (4) - and 00:27:220 (4) - are both curved to stand out as they are the final reverse sliders in the 4-bar pattern/midpoint of the section.
01:05:278 (2) - This slider can be straight too. So you have these 01:03:563 (1,2) - as curve sliders, these 2 01:04:935 (1,2) - can be straight for variation and it will look more consistent on this measure 01:04:935 - as well. In case it ruins your flow or this whole part somehow, just don't apply :( No change, as while I get your idea, I think having two straight sliders here would not look very swell, and it goes straight>curve> WAVEEE as a part of the build up into the kiai. Increasing curviness!

01:28:249 (1,2,3,1,2,1) - So you have these 2 first measures the same rhythm, then you change rhythm here 01:30:992 (1,2,3) - then change it back again 01:32:363 (1,2,3) - to what you previously have. i think the quality concern with beginner is that it can be taken and copied from any song of this speed to any other song of this speed that has a constant metronome without really changing anything.

buildups or any other musical indication for the song changing pacing are largely ignored for the sake of simplicity, this diff has nothing that makes it unique to this song because it simplifies so much

the only way this is fixable is by not having the diff be this simple, because as is you could take it and throw it at any song that has 4/1 measures at 175 bpm

I understand this, especially after re-reading when I talked to neonat about it before, but understanding how to fix it is a bit of a different issue to me...
I had meant to reflect more of the build up in the sliders and their shapes, and reflect the personality of the song as I see it in those sliders, as well as slight indications in flow, but I guess this has not been effective enough ;_; .
Which is why I've been struggling with trying to figure out how to approach it, and have not updated it for several days.
There was a really specific sound in the song that it was actually made to follow 90% of the time, but seeing as how the difficulty fits the song is seen as a problem, I guess it isn't obvious/audible enough.

edit: I give up. I'm the only one that cares about my beginner diff, my map, my difficulty, I made it and remade it, and I always found being told to get rid of an entire difficulty something of a different level of changing a difficulty, or removing patterns in order to replace them with something better. Because it's not making it better. It's just leaving a void where it used to be.

Its very concept is flawed or something. I could write an essay about that though. Making it, studying it, why it was made, on and on and on, but that wont make it any better, this isn't the song for it, I guess.
The current way it was, i felt, the optimal balance between ease of play and honesty to the song.
But that's not good enough, cause it's not honest to the song. But it can't be any more so without going against its entire reason for existing in the first place.
I am very sorry to the dozen and then some people that I surveyed regularly to make it as beginner friendly as possible.
No matter which way i make it, it'll only be useless. unnecessary. useless.

I'll try again in the future.

01:57:049 (1,2,3,4,5) - I updated to change this back to the way it was previously, as while I understand that the movement is a bit harsher than usual, it follows the general scheme of circles go one way-> slider changes the direction a bit. The change I had made before, while a nice curve, felt a bit inconsistent with this and didn't sit well with me after giving it time and review.
