Greetings

[General]
I'm seeing some bare little girl ass on my screen, maybe thats a bit too risque for a child's eyes. Change it to be safe
The storyboard goes beyond 6.00x sb load for me around 00:57:139 (1) - around here well into the faded section, might want to check all that out to be sure
normal-slidertick.wav and normal-sliderslide.wav are unusued
I don't really get these diff names, easy normal hard is more than sufficient

[Christmas]
  1. 00:56:300 (5,1,2) - Because of 5's hitburst and the bright storyboard, 00:57:139 (1,2) - are pretty hard to see with the gray combo color. I suggest you move this elsewhere
  2. 02:16:860 (4) - Add and NC here to be consistent with the other diffs maybe
[Hardcore]
Some of the issues I mentioned are repeated throughout the map, be sure to recheck everything to make sure it is satisfactory
  1. 00:47:070 (1,2) - A rhythm like you had 00:48:748 (1,2,3) - here would suit this part better. You can hear a loud sound half way through the slider and the slidertick doesn't cover it well enough imo
  2. 00:53:783 (1,2,1,2) - ^
  3. 01:22:315 (1,1,2) - Irre I know how you like to work your NC's but these aren't really understandable. I'd say just remove the NC on 01:22:524 (1) - and you should be good to go
  4. 01:57:139 (4,1) - 4's direction change seems a bit too harsh for it to flow nicely, maybe have a little more smoother slider curve inverted to how it is now. Should free it up for some movement and provide a nice transition into the next section
  5. 02:02:594 (1) - The sound on the red tick should probably be addressed, maybe turn this into a 1/2 slider and have a circle where the slider end used to be
[Mediumcore]
  1. 00:28:608 (1,2,3) - I think 3 1/2 stacks is a bit too much for a normal diff, it's kinda hard to read and with the storyboard players could become confused
  2. 01:37:000 (4,1) - The direction change here is a bit too harsh, I suggest relocating 1 to where 4's slider end flows more easily into it
  3. 01:57:979 (2,3,4) - Same stack dealio
  4. 02:13:503 (4,5,6) - ^
  5. 02:17:279 (5) - 02:16:021 (4) - 's flow is going a bit downwards, so maybe relocate this to 218:366 for a neater looking pattern and nicer flow
[Softcore]
  1. 00:50:426 (1) - I suggest you move this down a bit since it is touching the hp bar slightly, newer players can find this as a bit of a distraction
[Onicore]
Great taiko diffs again buddy, you always please
  1. 00:22:524 (51,52,53) - I found this to be a bit choppy coming off of the ddk patterns, maybe try kkd here instead
  2. 00:33:014 (19,20,21) - This seemed to flow not as nicely as well, I found a ddk pattern to work fantastic. It also fits well with the music. You can apply this to other patterns as you please and keep some of those kdks if you'd like
[Muzucore]
  1. 00:42:874 (52) - Maybe it would be best to map this out instead, its not too long and you didn't have this in the Oni. A k ddk would be nice and would have a nice transition effect into the next part

Wait, wait, wait.
[Christmas]
01:52:524 (1,2) - This is WAY too close to each other. I was definitely sure this is placed 1/4 later rather than 1/2. This is easily seen when you compare that with your streams. I strongly suggest you to increase the distance snap between these objects to 1.6x, just like the rest of your jumpy patterns have.

I'm currently fully mod this, in case that are other things like the one above. Please wait for me.
@edit: Here it is.

[General]
Half of the map has Kiai... I know there is an epilepsy warning, but consider starting it at 01:50:846, as this is the part where the song gets intense.
[Softcore]
Since this mapset (excluding the taiko difficulties and this single difficulty) is a collaborative set, and there's no clear information who made this difficulty, I would suggest to storyboard your name all over the map for consistency.

01:39:097 (1,2) - Swap new combos.
02:00:916 (3) - New combo here.
02:07:629 (4) - And new combo here.
[Mediumcore]
00:21:056 (3,4,5,1) - Consider doing this: remove the reverse from (4), move (5) earlier by 1/2 and add an extra note on top of 5.
[Hardcore]
00:32:174 (2) - Would you mind to explain why this is a 3/4 slider? I could be missing something here, but I think a simple 1/2 would work just fine.
00:47:384 (2,3) - Ain't stacked properly.
01:21:475 (3) - New combo here?
02:10:776 (6) - Consider turning off the grid snap and moving that note to x:174 y:24 so there's the same distance between (5,6) and (6,1).
[Christmas]
01:18:958 (1) - In my opinions these claps are suppressing the mild sound of finishes. Consider deleting them, just like you have it at 01:17:279 (1).
01:24:622 (3) - Unnecessary clap at its end.
01:52:524 (1,2) - Pretty much what I stated above. The transition (6) to (1) might make people think that there is a jump between (1) and (2) as well, considering the little distance between these notes.

Good luck! Andrea is a ( ͡º ͜ʖ ͡º).

Looking at the map 0.0

Requested by Gero previously but I saw someone's up to this

Legend
Default = Normal mods
Blue = Strongly recommended
Red = Unrankable issue
Pink = Will be discussed if not changed

Volume

  • Volume around 00:30:286 - to 00:40:356 - sounds a bit low, and keep changing like I can hear it rise up and down

Double check here and see if you need any changes

Easy

  1. 00:33:223 - 50% vol here same with 00:31:125 -

Normal

  1. 00:33:223 - Like Easy, 50% too?

Hard

  1. 00:32:489 - Lower volume here (seems there's a timing point)
  2. 00:37:209 - Whistle here would sound nicer, like 00:37:734 (3,4) -
  3. 01:29:447 - Whistle

Christmas

  1. 00:31:125 - Whistle
  2. 01:05:531 (5) - NC (constant 1 beat)
  3. 01:08:888 (4) - ^

Hi, and merry christmas!

[General]

01:50:846 - Realy kiai starts here. 01:23:993 is still the acceleraiting intro for the kiai which can be noticed by the clash / high pitched sound in the background.

[ Muzukashii]
SPOILER
  1. The change of the SV from 00:03:328 to 00:10:042 doesn't make much sense. The paste of the song is the same, hence doesn't need any change in SV.
  2. 00:57:139~01:09:727 - This part should contain less notes. It contains a similar density like other parts even though this is one of the calmer parts.
  3. 01:10:566~01:16:440 - Same here. Even though 01:17:279 is more emphasized, 01:10:566 provides the same density.
  4. 01:37:314 - Avoid these kind of kiai breaks. In taiko we use whole sections without flashy / short breaks.
  5. 01:23:993~01:50:846 - Considering the paste of this and the upcoming one, this isn't the "real kiai". Should be changed.
Something else I want to mention is the usage of ddk patterns. Please avoid these and make either monotonical tripplets or something easier. We use ddk sparingly in Muzukashii. If in use, they should stand -if possible- mostly alone. This should be changed to prevent any further disqualification.

[ Oni]
SPOILER
  1. 00:00:077 - You can put the inherited greenline of x0.50 here, to prevent having different barline slide-ins at the beginning.
  2. 00:10:042 - Same like in Muzukashii.
  3. 00:09:937 (22,1) - Not sure if you eithe rkeep the x0.5 section or use x1.0, but in case it's the first move, you should remove kat (22) to prevent any cluster-like patterns.
  4. 00:30:706 (3,4,5,6,7) - kdkdd / kdd patterns are always a tricky thing in taiko, since they start with an upbeat instead of downbeat, which make them sound in most cases odd. Same here. The background rather plays like this (00:30:286~00:31:755):
  5. 00:37:419 - ^
  6. 00:44:132 (81) - Notes like this one can be moved to 00:44:237, since the song provides 3/4 beats.
  7. 00:45:916 - ^ (and so on)
  8. 00:57:139~01:10:146 - Same like in Muzukashii. Reduce the note usage.
  9. 01:10:566 - This can be okay in Oni. But maybe try some slight deletions?
  10. 01:34:902 (32,33) - k d sounds here probably better.
Kiai should be checked one more time by some BAT or modder. Hadn't much time here, so I wasn't able to go deep into detail. Sorry Gero.

In general the diffs are fine, but most of the points should be followed. Especially the bolded one to prevent any further disqualification. Thing is for one, the difficulty in Muzukashii. And the other thing is that Oni provides some odd patterns which are not really given in the song. It goes a bit too much against it. I will add this map into the Taiko Modding Team, so the BATs will take care of it.

SPOILER
  1. The change of the SV from 00:03:328 to 00:10:042 doesn't make much sense. The paste of the song is the same, hence doesn't need any change in SV. Hum... Now both of my diffs start with x0,75 and x1 at 00:13:398 - , is it fine this way? D:
  2. 00:57:139~01:09:727 - This part should contain less notes. It contains a similar density like other parts even though this is one of the calmer parts. Probably fixed density problems on all of your suggestions, hope it's calm enough now.
  3. 01:37:314 - Avoid these kind of kiai breaks. In taiko we use whole sections without flashy / short breaks. Don't know how I missed this, wasn't intended. #BlameModders
Something else I want to mention is the usage of ddk patterns. Please avoid these and make either monotonical tripplets or something easier. We use ddk sparingly in Muzukashii. If in use, they should stand -if possible- mostly alone. This should be changed to prevent any further disqualification.
I remove most of them but I kept some where I feel like ddd wouldn't fit at all, hope that'll be fine. And if you meant kkd instead of ddk, all of those are gone now.

[ Oni]
SPOILER
  1. 00:30:706 (3,4,5,6,7) - kdkdd / kdd patterns are always a tricky thing in taiko, since they start with an upbeat instead of downbeat, which make them sound in most cases odd. Same here. The background rather plays like this (00:30:286~00:31:755):
  2. 00:37:419 - ^ Your suggestion is most likely similar to how my map was before I remapped it because it was kinda unplayable. I'm trying to keep a consistent, beat oriented rhythm on this map and I feel like my current pattern is easier to play. I tried to change the hitsounds instead, hope it's better and not worse now.
  3. 00:44:132 (81) - Notes like this one can be moved to 00:44:237, since the song provides 3/4 beats. Same reason, xx x xxxx was exactly the pattern I did on my previous version of the map and I didn't like it. It might follow the melody better but it skips a beat and my current pattern feels more natural to play imo.
  4. 01:10:566 - This can be okay in Oni. But maybe try some slight deletions? I removed the last note to leave a break.
  5. 01:34:902 (32,33) - k d sounds here probably better. Hum, you mean k d k then? Because I think d k d fit better, maybe that's what you meant.

In general the diffs are fine, but most of the points should be followed. Especially the bolded one to prevent any further disqualification. Thing is for one, the difficulty in Muzukashii. Nardoxyribonucleic
Merry Christmas! I'm gonna mod it as it is in the Taiko Modding Team.

  • [Muzukashii]
  1. 00:59:762 (10) - delete and change 01:00:077 (12) - to k ? I think this part is relatively calm that the ddk triplet is not very necessary, compared to the part starting from 00:43:713 to 00:56:300 -
  2. 01:05:951 (28,29,30,31,32,33) - same as ^
  3. 01:33:223 (14) - It seems that putting k here could sound better because the pitch is decreasing across 01:33:223 (14,15) - . This could also make a better contrast to the previous d k used at 01:31:545 (6,7) -
  • [Oni]
  1. 01:25:881 (14,15,16,17,18,19,20) - try using kdkkdkd here ? It could sound better because of the higher pitch of music there imo.

Patterns are quite consistent throughout the diff.
The current SV changes look fine to me. That's all and good luck~ :D

and good luck for rerank :3

DakeDekaane
Gero asked me to look at the taiko diffs, currently I have no time to do a detailed mod, but just a thing I caught on first sight:

I agree the SV changes in the beginning are a bit weird, could use small increases in the SV or stick to 1.0x for the whole map.
Personally I don't feel any SV change is required, but in case you want to keep them, the 1.0x should begin in 00:10:146. 00:13:503 - is really a weird spot as the intensity barely changes, we have this synth sound in the background, but doesn't justify the SV change there.

Mapping is nice already.

Edit: Fixed timestamp.
