Hello

After the new cutting edge update b20150910.5 my osu hasn't been able to update when i try to open it it come up with this when my internet connection is fine. http://puu.sh/k7jSS/76874091dd.png
and when exit out of the updater it opens osu with not being able to connect http://puu.sh/k7k8w/f736375b65.png
First i thought something is being blocked in the new update so i turned off my firewall but still came up with the same result.
so i tried re downloading osu that worked until it put it on cutting edge

Found this small little Glitch happens, Randomly and goes away when the Dots hit Full !

Issue(s) in this thread have been addressed by the following changes:
  1. Fix dropped frame dots sometimes getting stuck. (peppy)
The changes will be applied to builds newer than b20150911.3cuttingedge.

Please follow up in this thread if you believe more work needs to be done to fix the mentioned issues. If they have not yet been resolved, please provide any new details that may have arisen after this build.

So, this appeared while I was spectating
The screen kept flashing (black-normal about 2 times per second) and every time that happened I was returned to the start screen (even when I was trying to select a song or exit).

I played the beatmap afterwards so it means it wasn't corrupted, this happened when I clicked a youtube link while the player changed the song he was playing, although I don't think it's the reason this happened (I do not know what causes it and I doubt I can replicate this another time).

Pretty sure a certain someone is gonna be mad at me for constantly reporting problems like I got nothing better to do, but still. :P

When i toggle on Full screen At native resolution i get that weird pop up even though osu works fines and has no problem at my native resolution !

the approach circle for the slider is just in the combo colour not the complete slider. The circle is just normal

we’re aware of irregular bancho disconnects, and working on fixes for it!

Playing around with the number buttons responsible for replay speed, mod toggles and playback speed (x0.5, x1.0, x2.0) long enough will put it into a "locked" state where the number keys don't do anything to the playback speed.

Steps to replicate:
  • Toggle NC/DT/HT [OFF]
    spam number 6
    speed x2 (gui)
    spam number 6
    speed x1 (gui)
    spam number 6
    Toggle NC/DT/HT [ON]
    spam number 6
    try controls

There is a delay of the input using a graphic tablet Wacom Bamboo, the cursor begins to float . The stable version of this is not observed .
P.S. I tried to reinstall the client - did not help .

BSS doesn't work on the cutting-edge build. I didn't see this issue on the last 3-4 pages, might be a repost from earlier though.

not sure if its just me but with the new cutting edge, osu! literally stops responding, even if you try to stop it with task manager, if you lose Internet access

Just tried it on CE and got the same thing. Trying the 2nd time worked, however.

While playing/watching replays I get some random appearing lags for like half a sec. This happens multiple times. Menu runs fluently.
Using Win10, Fullscreen, Graphic Card: GeForce GTX 780, Tablet: Wacom Bamboo CTL-470k ( Who knows, maybe it helps )
Stable version runs with 1,000-1,500 frames per second.
Lags only happen while playing with CE.

Are you sure you didn't get faked?
I got it to work one time by following this thread's instructions but even though it said that the submission worked I was still offered to update my map immediately after without changing anything after submission. Updating the map put my map to the pre-submission state so BSS just faked the successful submission.

Latest CE build, unsure if anyone gets the same problem this may be a dupe post so if it is please delete this or what ever you can do.

The second I pick CE in the options menu and restart to go from stable to CE, the current CE build does not allow me to connect to the internet, just constant inability to connect at all. Only way I found to fix it, was to re-install it from the site or the installer, I did not have to uninstall it, just re-opening the osu!installer.exe worked just fine, it reinstalled the current stable version and internet is back on.

There are some known issues related to connection on CE at the moment, but the fact of not being able to connect at all is odd.

Anyways.. To go back to Stable you don't need to run the installer again. You can hold Shift while opening osu! and select Stable release stream on the configuration window that will pop up.

Also, osu! freezes for about 20 seconds when opening a link and then acts like nothing happened.
Default browser is Chrome, latest version.
Happens on beta.

I have also been getting some stutters, also I notice they seem to happen while disconnecting/reconnecting to the server.

The second I pick CE in the options menu and restart to go from stable to CE, the current CE build does not allow me to connect to the internet, just constant inability to connect at all. Only way I found to fix it, was to re-install it from the site or the installer, I did not have to uninstall it, just re-opening the osu!installer.exe worked just fine, it reinstalled the current stable version and internet is back on.
Also same issue, can connect to beta but not to cutting edge.

Im getting this too. I reinstalled and it has gone done a lot but I still get it. The only difference is that I get it while playing too

Just updated to latest GPU Drivers and I can no longer go over 144FPS.

So...kind of a strange bug:


I was spectating this person with no issues. Then I downloaded a map and...I don't know, maybe it was just really coincidental timing that caused the bug, but when he started playing the map, this happened. It's still spectating, but animations from the main menu are playing at the same time (kinda fun watching the little osu! logos snow down against the black background....can we have an option to always have those? >.>). The buttons in the top right corner work, but cause issues with the spectating. For example, going to next or previous track resets the play to the start and causes the playback speed option to not actually change playback speed. The map itself will only appear if you go back to the correct song (along with cursor movement), but the hitsounds will play regardless. Pressing stop causes the play to constantly freeze and jump. The bug persists if I stop spectating and start again.

I don't actually know if this bug is specific to cutting-edge (and don't know how I would try to replicate it to find out), but I'm using cutting-edge, so I'm posting it here.

When closing the chat all text dissapears for a few frames and then re-appears. It's most apparant when spamming F8, though happens even when just pressing F8 once aswell.
