This is what I did when that happened to me. I took a needle that you use for sewing and heated it with a lighter, and then just pushed it into the pen nib, and let it cool down and finally pulled it out with the pen nib stuck on the needle.

Nah, but seriously - have you tried a nail clipper? If it's even too short for that I suggest you go with Mathsma's idea.
