like, from my point of view this is kind of either overdone or inconsistent with the song. Like, it's playable and it should be fine, but some spacings like for example 00:05:932 (6) - are overdone and have no real sound in the song that justifies it. I will ignore that in my mod and I really hope you fix these things. will have to disagree, the jump fits for the strong piano downbeat.
00:05:547 (5,6) - aside from the spacing, the rhythm could be better. use circle and 1/1 slider instead. the rhythm you suggested would be fine, if I was focusing on vocals entirely, but that is not the case.
00:06:317 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12) - yeah, well. you need to cut this in half; the stream is only following beats after 00:06:893 -. Use 1/2 slider and circle for the first half, sounds better listen carefully, and you will hear the beat in the background to which this stream is mapped to, it is not the snares you are referring that start at the time you pointed out. I even used the hit normal sample set to emphasize the sound being mapped. Heck, the bubbled map for the full version of this song has these streams, so i really don't know what else to say here >.>

@Project Railgun: regarding spinners (not implying this is the case), you should focus on ms length instead of measures. 2/1 means nothing on very high BPM.

Just to clarify on the spinner debate, I asked around to some BATs and QATs, and the rule states that for normal ,there needs to be at least 750 ms of recovery time after the spinner before the next object. in this case there's 769. so i think this should not be an issue.

and, the video is back, it was just gone from my map folder. for no reason. I swear the editor has a mind of its own, randomly turning on countdown and now this shit.

It wasn't really a debate; I was just saying that I'm not sure how impactful for BAT and QAT is for an object to appear before spinner finishing. If it's fine great. but guiding yourself by measure isn't really optimal. you can find guidelines for 160 BPM on the discussion thread and guide yourself from there.

Not criticizing, just trying to leave some good feedback on the matter :3

After a few playtests i found AR 8.7 and 8.6 to be more appropriate for a song with 156 bpm
00:02:855 (1,2) - these 2 are awkwardly close together imo (like you have a jumpy pattern just before and then you go with that kinda spacing) - would at least increase that a bit
00:05:932 (6) - the same applies here but with the difference that this could be better off as 2 circles for the sake of the vocal in 00:06:124 - ?
Doing something like this works pretty well imo
00:22:663 (7) - is it just me or do i think a bigger jump would be more apropiate than this stack?
00:27:086 (6,7,1) - big jump slider and then small distance to a stream plays a bit eww
00:35:355 (2) - transition could be a bit smoother here (consider rotating this slider a bit for flow stuff)
00:37:086 (2) - just saying that the uneven spacing could play a bit weird here (probably making this spacing even helps)

Just saying that your SV changes do not really add that much to the map since they are only noticeable in in your 1/2 spacing looking different from SV change to SV change, so even if you'd remove them or just have the whole diff at 0.90 or so basically nothing would really change

I Highly recommend you finding a higher quality mp3. this sounds like a 128 kbps put in a 192 kbps shell

I will get all of these looked at.

sadly, i think the mp3 is as good as its going to get for TV size. this is a FLAC rip from the show's blu ray, and there weren't any albums with the TV size song released, to my knowledge. I spent about 7 hours searching with no luck.

The metadata should be correct, except for the underscore mistakes you pointed out. I took the artist and title suggestion from the bubbled set for the full song as pointed out by zero__wind on this page . and the source from my ranked set for this same show. I will try to poke Ringtating to see if he can do something about the BG, and to check on the progress of the SB lyrics.

I will be responding to mods soon

After a few playtests i found AR 8.7 and 8.6 to be more appropriate for a song with 156 bpm changed to 8.7

I also looked around for a higher quality mp3, since there were concerns about that. I found many high bit rate / lossless versions, but none of them sounded noticeably better (at least not on my current audio setup, I've got a headphone upgrade coming in before the end of the month so I'll probably revisit this then

).

I took one of those higher bit-rate files and re-encoded it to a 192 kbps (vbr average) mp3.
Here's that (determine for yourself if there's any noticeable difference - and I probably broke the offset :s)

II am going to use the smoothed BG.

as far as the mp3 goes, certain aspects of it do sound better, but others dont, its weird, but i think the new mp3 has overall higher quality, so I will be switching to it. Sadly it still isnt as good as the mp3 for the full song

ok, so, an update on the mp3 situation.

I have good news, but also bad news. I was able to perfectly edit the full version mp3 so that we still have a short version, but it ends exactly like the full version, but the bad news is that we all will have to map a new out tro, which is about 15 or so seconds, and this also means the video becomes useless because it ends much earlier than the song.

If anyone is any good with video editing and can do something with the video so that it can still be used, that would be amazing.

Here is the new mp3 for guys to listen to, I want to hear some opinions, if it is worth sacrificing the video and put additional work on Ringating and setsuna for the final bit of storyboard (which is still WIP) there is no doubt though, that this mp3 sounds MUCH better than the other 2 we've used.

the timing for the out tro will not be an issue, since it has already been taken care of in the thread for the full size song by other BATs.

because I tried to cut it in a way where it wouldnt sound stupid, and it was still like the tv size, but there's just no way, with how the full song is.

this is the best I could come up with. I wouldnt know who to ask if they could do any better.

edit : look at this thread, i asked this person for help with cutting the mp3 a while back, but I really dont like how it sounds at the end.

Why not just use a TV Size song for a TV Size map? After all, the TV Size version was made to play with the video.

Because the tv size mp3 is lower quality than the one i posted. Thats the whole point of all this. Kibbleru wanted a higher quality mp3 and this is the best i can do.

We either use the one provided by ringating, or the one i posted, unless a good quality tv size one magically shows up , these are our only options.

Need to hear what the guest mappers think. Just keep in mind the longer one is much higher quality than the old one or the one ringating posted

lol..... so after speaking to some people, it seems like that audio distortion i was talking about could cause a DQ, so we are back to square one. i think what is going to have to end happening is, we use the mp3 right before this one, or the longer one which sacrifices the video.

the mp3 struggle is real with this one, holy fuck.
