So, my Sootopolis Gym Battle experience.

SPOILER
I had a Thunder Fang Mightyena and Sceptile, but then his first pokemon was a female Attract-spamming Luvdisc

So I decided "fuck it" and swept his team with a +2 Gardevoir's Magical Leaf.

It was amusing yet underwhelming.

I haven't even tried going to the Mirage Spots yet. Good to know they're adding more nostalgia, but I still wonder if there's a GBA Sounds key item somewhere...
Anyway, an update is out and is required to go online. Scan the QR code of whichever version (or versions) you have to go directly to the eshop with the update(s) (these work no matter where you live, btw):

Contests are fun, especially after they took out the tedious pokeblock feeding. I can literally max out an attribute with 20 berries

Only Cute left and I'll clear all 5 Master contests.

So I'm probably really late in noticing this, but anyway...

Here's a cheap PP-restoring trick for those who can't be bothered going to Pokémon Centers while training/EV training (especially Horde Battles), though this only works if it's the same Move as a TM (HMs are excluded for obvious reasons):

1. Use up a Move till it runs out of PP.
2. Swap that Move with any TM that Pokémon can learn.
3. Make that Pokémon relearn the original Move via TM.
4. Check back to see that the Move has all PP restored.

Please keep in mind that you'll lose any PP Ups/Maxes used for the Moves you do this on, so only do this if it's one that hasn't been raised yet. Also, this works regardless of PP differences. For example, say one Move has 15 PP and you swap it out with a 10 PP one then swap it back to the 15. No matter how many times you do this, the PP will be fully restored.

One of the Super Training things in group 4 or 5 (I forgot which one). You'll need a fully EV-trained Pokémon to unlock those groups, though. Also, it's not guaranteed you'll get one.

I wonder why this was changed. In the past, doing this would lossily retain the percentage of PP you had left for your previous move. Seemed logical to me.

Dunno, though I'm not complaining since I Horde EV train /o/

EDIT: I'll be editing my Base again once I get ahold of two more Blissey teams... or two certain Mirage Spots...

Mega-evolving when you get max excitement is OP

Draining Kiss is also OP, makes you perform as well as everyone before you. 4th in performing order and someone just hit max excitement before you? Thanks for the 8 hearts.

1+1=Gardevoir is extremely OP. I beat Lisia in one try.

EDIT:

I found those developer base codes yesterday but couldn't get the top one to work... Anyway, I'm glad there's other people setting up Blissey Bases.

EDIT: Nvm, found another pic to fix the first.

I have never-ever won these contests in Masters class, everything below was possible.
Not even in Diamond/Perl, maybe I haven't figured it out completely until now but who knows..
Maybe I can win Masters class in AS ;;

It's fairly easy, partly because pokeblocks have been streamlined (only two types, normal and +) and buffed significantly, and the sheen mechanic is gone so you can spam as many blocks as you want. Around 30 or so of the normal pokeblocks is enough to max out one attribute, which gives significant benefits even in Master except for rare occasions.

And if worst comes to worst, just send Cool Cosplay Pikachu in and spam Quick Attack > Electro Ball. Practically an instant win

Oh by the way because no one has said it yet, talking to Lanette will move the Organize Boxes option to the top of the PC, saving you the milliseconds required to go down two options.

Except muscle memory will screw you over so only switch if you don't plan on going back to XY I guess

I hardly ever used Organize Boxes even in Y, so eh... Oooooooooooooooops... I was thinking that meant the Boxes as Folders... Herrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrp a derrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrp /corner

EDIT: Oh wow...
I have both Bikes at once now. Too bad they're not combined into one...

I DID say I wish they were combined... lol.
Anyway, updated my Base again. It should have everyone (including me) having three Blissey with only Healing Wish. Access the level unlocker to the left of my Trainer BEFORE you fight anyone.

When you're next on, I might have to grab one off of you. Is there anything you'd like in return?

Changed some decorations around and properly set the pokemon I want to fight with but in reality I just wanted to show off my 100 flags

Sometimes I wish there was a way to play through the story without a new game.
Jinxy
So if it stops, do you restart after the movie has ended and become unable to watch it any more?

I want this to happen. I want a longer backstory...

HeartGold and SoulSilver came the closest for me. But after that...

Jinxy wrote:

I hope not. It would ruin the experience for many many players who still havent comepleted the game.
Jinxy
in hindsight putting anti-metagross moves on pokemon weak to steel or psychic or a 150bp move was a terrible idea

Going in with a L51 team could have something to do with it too but eh.

What is this. My life was definitely a lie.

SPOILER
Just got word about the trainer card. Usually you would have near impossible stuff to do, but it is MUCH easier. They are:
- Defeat the E4
- Complete the Hoenn Pokedex
- Go through the battle maison and win for thr 50th streak

Easy huh.
Azure_Kite
That's usually how it is, although it's
usually 100 instead of 50. Iirc r/s needed 50 wins in the battle tower.

Edit: go to GTS and search for Jirachi. Lol.
