osu impact on type speed?

Ok, so I saw a thread about people comparing type speeds from rubber dome to mechanical, and I decided to take a typing test here.

I scored 90-98 on several tests (on rubber dome, I'm too poor for mechanical) and noticed that when I play this type test game, I type much faster than when I actually type (Which is slow as a snail compared to 90 wpm), even when I know exactly what I'm going to type. This makes me feel like reading high AR on osu has let me play a game like this well, while not actually improving my type speed for when it's important. ( high AR to me, which is 10, inb4 elitist snobs say l3l only 10.8 is high AR)

Can anyone else compare?

The reason you type faster in this test is because there is no punctuation required, nor is there capitalization. Furthermore, all the words are simple easy to spell words, so you don't get stuck thinking how to spell a word.

I can type around 95 wpm for normal stuff, but on that site, I scored around 124 wpm.

Scrubs 44 WPM

I once scored 170 wpm. Don't know how.

Ah I see, didn't really think about it. But what if I regularly type simple easy to spell words with no punctuation / capitalization, but still type slow as fk when not playing that game :O? It feels like I actually only type 70wpm realistically, even when not typing properly.

I got 107 wpm and i use mouse only. I don't think osu impacts on type speed. imo

i typed at 120-180wpm before i started playing osu and still type at the same speed. so no i don't think it does impact anything other than tap finger stamina

lol i actually type a lot slower when i do typing tests including that one, because i start thinking about it and getting all sub-conscious so it affects everything

61 WPM. It's more than just z and x so obviously I suck at it.

82 wpm on those easy words with no punctuation ;_;

I don't think osu! influences type speed considering you stream with two fingers, on two keys, that you choose.

ten fast fingers is just simple words, hardest is probably contracted words...

Type speed probably has a small impact but so does clicking speed. I do a bad 88 wpm, my friend does 40 but he's like a god at osu (imo) (rank 30000~ xD)

I remember that, when I first started out, my typing speed was at about 80wpm, but now I'm at about 120-130. I don't really think that osu! really influenced my typing speed, though.
Friendan
I used to type over 100, but I'm now at 60 because I switched to Colemak, 14 WPM when touch typing.
No, osu! does literally nothing to your typing speed.

But having to get a decent 68 - 75 - 81 WPM is not much of a boast.
There are times where you just got to rely on adrenaline to get it?- I think.
