about GD, well, he's not the one who dropped it. it's me. he seems very busy at the moment, so do I. I already asked 3 people to do insane but yeah...things happen. so I won't ask and accept GD anymore in this map. when Kocari ask to do GD, koreapenuin already took the job. and then Lolicore_Komari, he asked me a day after I asked Mao. lol

Okay, my bad then. iM@S ALLSTARS confirmed after I checked the song details (album) in the osu! songs folder. And will be dangerous arguing with BATs

Anyway, what are (we) waiting for? Everyhing is perfect to be ranked. :D

Edit: since the artist name is iM@S allstars, Otonashi Kotori should be also tagged in this map as well.

The main issue is that it might need more density in Normal to balance the difficulties out more. I'll get back to you later on this. Right now in your difficulties, you have 2/1 with quite a bit of 1/1 in Easy. 1/1 with very few 1/2 in Normal, and a lot of 1/2 with no 1/4 lol (this might be the saving grace. you might only need to remove a few 1/2 notes in Hard). I personally don't think this will be a problem, but I'd rather be safe than sorry. Don't make any difficulty changes until I get back to you on this.

[General]
Also add "NBGI" and "Namco Bandai" to the tags. They made the IDOLM@STER game.

  1. 00:38:663 - add a finish here since there is a cymbal playing in the Background. maybe lower the volume if you feel it's a bit too loud for it.
  2. 01:58:663 - Try a 10-20% volume drum finish here. It blends nicely.
[Easy]
  1. 00:01:330 (1) - To be honest, i don't really like this slider. Maybe try a new design? Something simple like this even works.
  2. 01:05:329 (1) - Try balancing this so the tail and the flat part by the head line up. http://puu.sh/eWg5P.jpg
  3. 01:14:663 (3,4,5,6) - Lower the end of (3) and then blanket the (4) around the tail end of it. Then adjust (5,6) accordingly. It will flow better, and look much more presentable. http://puu.sh/eWh0H.jpg
  4. 01:22:663 (5) - Nudge this up just a little bit so it flows from the previous note better. watch DS though.
  5. 01:29:329 (1,2) - Consider this rhythm so the (2) doesn't start on nothing.

  1. 01:49:329 (1,2) - These two would be better off as a 3/2 reverse slider like 01:51:996 (3) - Mostly because the reverse will hit the vocals and the instruments in the background.

  1. 00:41:996 (3,4) - I feel like these are covered just a little too much. Try moving them down slightly.
  2. 00:45:996 (7) - This one bugs me, even though it isn't a big deal. move this to x124 (x+1)

Alrighty. I got a couple opinions and we came to the conclusion that the normal / hard needs to be slightly closer in difficulty terms. I think it'd be better to reduce the difficulty in hard than up the difficulty in normal, but I'll give suggestions for each.

[Normal]
I'm going to list a few things you can do. You do not have to do all of these, but they're to help slightly increase the difficulty. If you don't like something, then you can skip it.

  2. 01:11:996 (4) - 01:14:663 (3) - and all similar parts like this. You can try making a rhythm like this: http://puu.sh/f0JeV.jpg | Use this when the double vocals / music matches it. This can be used on almost any part of the kiai.
  3. 01:30:663 (3) - and the spinner. | xxdeathx was suggesting this. Too make this more dense, try something like this: http://puu.sh/f0I4h.jpg
    This allows you capture both the drums and the rest of the music.
  4. 01:31:996 (1) - If you want to. Try removing this spinner (Since it doesn't exist in either Easy/Hard) and try a rhythm like this. http://puu.sh/f0Iw3.jpg
  5. 01:30:663 (3,1) - You can do the same as the 2 mods above this If you want. maybe try a more complex filling rhythm for the spinner like so: http://puu.sh/f0Koh.jpg |This one naturally adds in most of the bell noises.

Same thing on this diff. I'll list a few things you can remove or change to help balance the difficulties out.
  1. 00:16:996 (8) - Change to a single circle so there's a 1/1 gap.
  2. 00:38:496 (7) - ^
  3. 00:48:496 (6,7,8,9) - This could be toned down a bit as well. You only really need to follow that trumpet thing on the red ticks.
  4. 00:51:329 (6,7) - Can change these to a circle on each head.
  5. 01:37:329 - If you look at the first kiai. in the same spot. 01:10:663 - | You can reduce the density here as well. Try to create something nice and simple like this. Same with 01:47:996 (1,2,3,4) -
  6. 01:18:329 (7) - & 01:44:996 (7) - Just a circle would work.
  7. 01:12:996 (6) - 01:39:663 (7) - ^ if you want.
  8. 01:42:663 (1,2,3,4) - look at 01:15:996 (1,2,3) - for ideas.
Anyways, just remember these are suggestions and you should only change what you want to from it. Do note that the difficulty gap between Normal/Hard does need to be a bit closer before it can pass the ranking criteria.

We lowered the density of Hard even more. There were still a few places that had long stretches of 1/2s. We changed two parts in Normal so it has a tiny bit more density. Might still not be enough, but I think Its good enough to pass onto the next BAT.

Rebubbling due to the big changes, and the fact that I want one more BAT mod on this before it gets ranked.

@Next BAT.
Take a look at the Density between Normal/Hard and see if it's good enough for you. The mapper wants to keep Normal using the 1/1 consistent pattern they have if at all possible.

I really like your hard diff a lot.. but to be honest the spread is really questionable. adding another diff between the current normal and hard diff or adding more objects in the normal and easy diff can be nice. I just did a quick check tho.

I gathered a few more opinions (from QATs/BATs) and it turned out to be exactly this.

You can either map or get a gd for a Normal/Normal+ that'll fit around 2.3/2.4 and it uses a fair amount of 1/2 notes, or tweak Easy/Normal to be more difficult. A Suggestion from Mao was to increase the Kiai's density in normal to have quite a few more 1/2 notes.

Let us know what your plan is going to be. Seems like there is a lot of people interested in this map so if you wanted to find a GD Normal+, it shouldn't be too hard to find someone.

Sorry for the inconvenience. I'll be around if you want any assistance in reworking this mapset or getting a mod for the GD if you take that route.

okay. here's my 500th post which was reserved when this map ranked but seeing how things work here I'll use this. *no one cares tho

first about the star rating, I know there are some gap between Hard and Normal but it doesn't affect overall gameplay. Normal plays like a normal did, Easy is very newbie friendly and has good visual appearance. Hard is quite challenging because I don't add Insane in this map. ENH mapsets are expected to have challenging map. of course, this 'challenging' is not random. it was well-thought in the processes. Hard plays like any Hard diff. it doesn't have 'Insane' feeling when playing this map. no, not at all.

I personally think this map has proper diff spread if you ignore the star rating. star rating doesn't mean anything in my argument now. leave it be, I don't want to talk about star rating.

here's Easy diff, which using lots of 2/1 and fair 1/1. fine Easy.

and then Normal, which composed with 1/1 as base rhythm. to make it more balanced, I use 3/2 instead of 1/2. I have done this before. I use 1/2 at first and turns out it was bad in appearance and gameplay, at least for me. then I remapped to current version where I use 3/2 and very few 1/2 to make it better in terms of difficulty balance between Easy and Normal. remember, I use 3/2 instead of 1/2. I repeat, I use 3/2 instead 1/2 because it is better in many ways. I also have this tested to new player which had been playing only for a week and they passed this map easily. one thing is, there is a 'crazy' part mentioned by some modders. I admit, it is hard but not exceed players ability who can only plays normal. live tested, passed first try 100% accuracy on that part. and now having that gone makes me a bit disappointed.

now Hard, well...how can I say? I want to make something different in this map. I want to try my new 'style' on this map. I don't want to make a very mainstream Hard diff, no. so I put some small jumps, playing with DS a bit, SV changes, using normal and soft hitsound, etc. yes, mainly composed by 1/2 because I trying to follow '2014 style'. this diff looks very hard because 180bpm song imo. but it's not that hard.

honestly, I do not like this map. not that I blame BATs for this. I really thank you for BATs who willing and had helped me before. thank you very much. just saying that I don't like my own map and tell you guys how did I map this. that's all. that's it.
